Fame Level 1: Hmm... (playername), you say? No, never heard that name. Do not expect me to learn the name of every recruit! Do good for the kingdom and her people, and they shall come to know you. Once you have their trust, they will request your help more readily. Just keep your head down, and your day shall come.

Fame Level 2: (playername)...? Hmm... I might have heard that name before. Then again, maybe not. You are not famous yet. Keep your nose to the grindstone and work for the people. Soon, they will know you better!

Fame Level 3: Ah, (playername). That is a name I often hear. People speak well of you! Your deeds for the kingdom have earned you much honor.

Fame Level 4: (playername)! You have become well known in these parts! I hear much of your accomplishments. Keep up the good work, and greatness lies in your future.

Fame Level 5: Ah, (playername)! You are famous in our kingdom! Of you no ill is spoke. Give to the kingdom and she will give to you, no?

Fame Level 6: (playername)! I would venture that much the kingdom has heard your name! And your reputation sparkles. Indeed I am proud of you. And to think I first knew you when you were a new recruit!

Fame Level 7: Hello, (playername). Practically all of the kingdom has heard of you now. What's more, your reputation is stellar. I look forward to even greater things from you!

Fame Level 8: (playername)! People are talking about you! Every infant in his cradle knows your name! And they hold you in highest regard! I am so proud of you! May your kind deeds continue!

Fame Level 9: Sir Cyndan)! There isn't a soul in the kingdom that doesn't consider you a hero! As a representative of the people of San d'Oria, I humbly ask you to continue your efforts for the good of the country. May the light of the Goddess shine upon you!

Ok I needed to do the shiva fight at level 45+ version, so I went and did about 300 cabbage 40+ rabit hides the quest for leather gloves the quest for lizard gloves 30 bat wings 15 tiger fangs + all the ecos I have done (about 4-6) the quests pre-pld and the pld quest I had done many rabit hide quests b4 this many flint stone quests a few bat wing quests and still more quests I cannot remember but since then my fame has gone up... -maybe- 1-2 levels max it is now about level 5 fame. Plus I am sure I have done quests for other nations that have had something to relate to sandy even in a small way.

Edit: I have also done garrisons around sandy

Easy sandy bastok and selbina fame
# Jan 03 2005 at 11:38 AM Rating: Decent
Actually what i have found out is that if you buy stacks of millioncorn in bastok and give them to the dude in selbina that has the sheep he will give you most of your money back, plus you get Bastok Fame, San d'Oria Fame, and Selbina fame. My suggestion is to go naked and just carry stacks of millioncorn to him you'll gain easy fame. (if you cant avoid aggro on the trip i would advise you not to go naked.

My DRK got to ten and I needed warp, so I did this quest. I was a bastokan rank 3 with no sandorian fame. I bought 7 stacks of bat wings at 1700 each, traded them all in to the bat guy and get 1200 a stack in return.
(1700 x 7) - (1200 x 7) = 3500 spent for level 3 fame.

Bought a vial of beastman blood fmr the AH for 2500.

6000 gil and 20 minutes later I had scroll of drain which sells for 25,000 on caitsith server. Quick and easy gil if you dont plan on being a BLM or DRK, saves you 19,000 or earns you 19,000 gil.

I belive you mean Drain. Warp is not even a Sandy quest (it is a Bastok quest). Besides, DRK can't learn warp.
Leveling San d'Oria Fame
# Sep 11 2004 at 2:43 PM Rating: Default
Best way to do it i have found is doing the bat wing quest in North San d'Oria. bat wings stack and for each stack you get 1200 gil and the quest done 6 times. bats drop wings easy and you get more gil from doing it this way than selling it at the AH. went from lvl 5 to lvl 9 fame in 2 days . Not bad eh.
Infinite Rabbit Hide Fame
# Aug 27 2004 at 6:31 PM Rating: Decent
Anyone notice you buy rabbit hides for 624 gil a stack, yet you give you're rabbit hides to the NPC for rabbit hides for 480, so you're geting average fame, and not losing too much money, note i got up 3 Fame for this.
