Coffer AF FAQ - Where is my AF and what do I fight?Follow

#1 Apr 28 2005 at 6:40 PM Rating: Excellent
This is a compilation FAQ I wrote up by throwing together a lot of info on this site, with help from MysteryTour as a supplement. I'm going to multi post it to seperate it.

Per request, I also added Coffers that are required for a AF quest, while not directly dropping an AF themself.

If you see anything wrong or I missed anything important, let me know and I'll try to update this thread.

Huge thanks to Tanzein's List for the links!

Nice list, and rate up.

However, I would recommend listing "quest" coffers under their respective jobs, in case someone doesn't realize at first glance that they -do- need another coffer.

If you do, I'll also point out that the DRG helm (AF3) quest requires a Kuftal coffer.

At first, that wasn't the purpose of the list, but that is a good point. I'll throw DRG and PLD in there after all.

Any other jobs have quests that require a coffer key? I know WHM and BLM don't, but beyond that, no clue ~.~

Red Mage AF Feet (Enveloped in Darkness) is the one that requires a Crawlers' Nest Treasure Chest.

I like it. I did notice from it that apparently NIN has a 4th AF Coffer for a quest (Body) and I'll add it in.

Update: Added a lot of links. I may go back and add links for the mobs or the areas in the third part, if enough people think it's worth it.

Anyone suggest I should?

Nice list, informative. I had no clue what to do for any AF, this will help when the time comes. Rate up.

If you go to most of the individual job forms, you'll get more detailed walkthroughs concerning AF1, AF2 and AF3 quests. This topic is strictly dedicated towards coffer AFs. One of the best things is you can use the second and third parts as a guide to see who else to bring with you, and what mobs you will need to fight.

For the purposes of avoiding too much confusion:

Most people refer to AF1 as the AF you get at lvl 40-42, AF2 as the AF you get at 52, and AF3 at 58 or 60 because their quests are numbered 1-3.

Others may refer to them as 1-6, numbering them in the order you get them. This can cause confusion when people aren't on the same page, as I was trying to help out a WHM AF3 party once, and one of the WHMs thought we were going to Garlaige (For AF Hat at 54) instead of Fei'Yin (AF3 Quest NM Fight)

Furthermore, Some people also refer to the Entire second set of AF, also known as relic, as AF2. This set is gains in Dynamis and is for lvls 71-75.

Just make sure not to confuse what people mean, and you're golden. ^^
