Description

While the Shrine of Ru'Avitau makes up the center of the island, Ve'Lugannon Palace is the structure that borders the outer reaches of Tu'Lia.

Points of Interest

  • Brigandish Blade, Steam Cleaner, and Zipacna can be found here.
  • Finding Your Way Around Sky - Devices called "Monoliths" are used to control the blue and yellow doors. Only one color type will be open at a time. This may sometimes result in certain parts of this zone being blocked off unless someone goes to another section to open the doors from that side.

Here's a map:

Right click the following link, and click save as.

Map and info of Ve'Lugannon Palace

You won't be able to understand how this map works if you don't understand how the Ru'Aun map works. Once you get the hang of Ru'Aun gardens, you'll get this easily.

AFv2, Relic, AFv1
# Jun 22 2005 at 7:50 PM Rating: Decent
This is in no response to any specific person, but is posted to hopefully make people shut up.
AFv1 is equipment at 40, 52, 54, 56, 58 and 60. Called AF1-AF6, some classify by level. They are gotten by quests and opening coffers ("+1" version of chests, with seperate keys and better items)

Relic is a series of quest only weapons (with the exception of one shield). They are by far different from artifact (af) weapons. They are obtained by doing long and EXTREMELY expensive quests in dynamis. They are not all one job only, but a few are (shield for example).

AFv2 is a series of armors, similar to AFv1. They are job only, all around 74. They are extremely rare drops from enemies in dynamis. They have similar stats and boosts. Basically AFv2 is a stonger AFv1 with a higher level. It's kind of like a +10 version of the AFv1, as an idea.

P.S. Click Ve'Lugannon Palace on there btw. The coffer you open here provides the map for all the indoor areas in Tu'Lia. A differnt coffer is needed for Ru'Aun Gardens map(Which isn't that helpfull anyway).

EDIT: Replied to my own post. orz

Uh what is with the entire AF discussion here? How does AF and the difference between AF and relic armor relate in any way to Ve'Lugannon Palace? I came here to find a coffer map and get bombarded with pointless and random posts.

Can anyone provide a link to a coffer hunting map of this area? Anyone know the positions of the coffer chests? I have a key and need a map because i get lost very easily. Thank you.

um... actaully there is a difference between relic and AF2. they are completely different sets. relic requires upgrades to become useful. the relic weapons drop in dynamis and are upgraded through quests. relic armor is crafted and upgraded using HNM drops. AF2 are also dynamis drops. This seems counterintuitive, but it's how all the high level players i knew catergorize this stuff.

what helps make it easier to understand is that the AF2 sets are job specific exactly like the AF1 set, but are simply higher level. All the relic pieces, well almost all of them, are usable by several jobs (which wouldn't really make sense for AF). Also as I said, all relic has to be upgraded to become usefull. So I hope that makes everything clearer.

I concur with jackalTheManCat, only the weapon that drops from Dynamis is a Relic item.

The items you have to uncurse with an Abjuration item is usually called cursed armor or by their actual names (e.g. Koenig, Shura, Zenith, etc).

I have also heard that the armor pieces that drop from the different Dynamis maps called AFb (or AFB). The confusing part of calling it AF2 is that the first AF set has 6 items which people commonly refer to as AF1, AF2, etc).

For much more details on all of this, you can refer to the info on Mysterytour. Look under Relic or Artifact2 or the individual items under Abjuration.

generally you call it af1-1 to 5 (not 6, because the weapon is garbage in most situations (eg rng, lol)) then dynamis is af2-1 to 5 (again, not counting relic weapons)

I hear the second set of AF referred to as AF2 set (the word "set" is important for clarity) or as relic armors.

Relic weapons are upgradeable through quests to their ultimate forms, but are not all for one job only like the weapon from the first set of AF quests.

I never hear of the koenig, hetacomb, etc. sets referred to as relic gear. I've always heard of them as cursed armor or abjuration armor.

Whats the prob ? When a lvl50-52 starts asking for help with AF2 or a lvl70+ talks about his AF2, then it should be quite clear.....it's usually quite self explaining.....

post 70 you can get special rare drops from some mobs in Dynamis areaas, that are a second set of AF... call them Relic Armor... everyone will understand then... calling them AF2 will only confuse ppl...

AF2 = 2nd set of AF for lvl70+ found in Dynamis. With better stats than the lv52-60 set.

Also known as "relic" armor, its a second set of artifact armor for players past 70. To my knowledge, its only dropped in Dynamis.

ok i hate to tell you this guys but im NA and i have my entire AF set. but he must be full of it to say he has kirins stuff.
# Jun 28 2004 at 7:39 PM Rating: Decent
Hmmm...i sort of really doubt that you've got all that stuff Kyros. First, like Skeiron said, you dont even know how to get to Kirin but have his stuff. Second, I doubt your one of the very small amount of NAs that actually own AF2 set.

Paladin can't wear Kirin's Osode. He said Relic I and Relic II. And he didn't even mention Koenig.

Also, no north american, as far as I know, has completed Dynamis Xarcabard.

It's funny you have Kirins Pole and Osode but don't know how to get to one of the places you walk through to get to his spawn point.

EDIT: I posted this a wihle ago but here's an update to it. Kirin spawns in the Shrine of Ru'Avitau. Although you don't have to directly walk through Ve'Lugannon Palace to get to Kirin, you'll be spending a lot of time in this place getting items to pop the original four gods.
