Description

Constructed ten thousand years ago by the Zilart, as the "Gate of the Gods", this is said to be the very entrance to paradise itself. The Ru'Aun Gardens are an array of floating islands, worn by time and overgrown with moss, that surround The Shrine of Ru'Avitau and form a border between it and Ve'Lugannon Palace.

Points of Interest

  • Despot, Byakko, Seiryu, Genbu and Suzaku can be found here.
  • ZM14 - Ark Angels and ZM15 - The Sealed Shrine utilize this zone.
  • Green portals are used to warp from the Crag Halls of Transference directly to "Sky", on either side of the area where Despot is traditionally fought. Blue portals are activated by Pincerstones and provide access between the "elemental" islands. Yellow portals provide access to "Guardian" islands, where the "Shijin" are spawned, and cannot be used while the respective god is being fought. Red portals provide access to the "Ark Angel" islands.

Map

The Map of the Ru'Aun Gardens may be obtained via Ru'Aun Coffer.

I haven't actually EXPLORED this place "physically" yet, but I have a thing for gathering information...so here goes. You do a quest to gain entrance to the teleportation device in Hall of the Gods, first off...and port to Ru'Aun. Judging by maps and about 5 million posts I've read, this area connects to Ve'Lugannon Palace, Shrine of the Ru'Avitau, and possibly La'Loff Amphitheater and the Celestial Nexus...not sure on the last two, almost nobody talks about them. All the NMs here have an ultimate purpose: to grant access to a battle with Kirin (Japanese for God, apparently...strange, he was just a weird horse with a group regen in ff6). First, there's 8 NMs you're supposed to kill:

Ru'Aun:
Despot (drops Gem of the West)

Ve'Lugannon:
Brigandish Blade (Gem of the South)
Steam Cleaner (Gem of the East)
Zipacna (Gem of the North)

Ru'Avitau:
Faust (drops Summerstone)
Mother Globe + 6 Slave Globes (Springstone)
Olla Pequena/Media/Grande (Winterstone)
Ullikummi (Autumnstone)

Then, there's 4 more NMs that each require a combination of 1 specific gem and stone to battle; these 4 are sort of sub-gods under Kirin (and anyone who's played Seiken Densetsu 3 may recognize them as parts of the names of the special attacks of the final 4 forms of the werewolf)

Genbu (North, Winter)
Byakko (West, Autumn)
Suzaku (South, Summer)
Seiryu (East, Spring)

Each of those 4 drop a seal named after them...when you have all 4, you can summon up Kirin to battle. I would -guess- that Kirin's the toughest mob in the game, though I've heard horror stories about the King Behemoth and Fafnir...and then recently hearing about the lottery pop, Nidhogg, with Fafnir makes me wonder even more (come on...a lottery pop with an already-incredibly-powerful NM?). Also, I've found virtually zero info on any Dynamis mobs thus far. Well, guess I'll have to get an alliance or 3 and kill them all to find out...heh.

Elementals are listed as having level 18-70+ because their level varies wildly with where they are. Simply put, a thunder elemental found here will be MUCH higher level than a thunder elemental in, say, Konschtat Highlands.
#Anonymous, Posted: Feb 06 2004 at 6:09 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) its possible to go there at level 20...if you want to die in one hit, anyways as you can see from that site with the screnshots you need to have killed the Shadowlord which is lke mission 12 i think, when it says 18-70 it actually means that everything is about 70...and lastly i am not a lady

If you click on the link at the top, you can see, but I'll tell you. Tu'Lia seems to be a gigantic floating castle in the sky, related to the crags in some way. The monsters here run rampant, and you need to have a whm with the hiding spells to keep you alive. And on my server, it's always controlled by Windurst^^.

Whatever you do don't depend on people casting EVER. Fact about this place, Dolls aggroe by magic and they are EVERYWHERE in this area. You can find groups of dozens of them all over the place. Everyone that comes here comes with silent olis, prism powders, ect.

From what I have been able to gather the center of this a teleporter that goes back and forth between Hall of the Gods. As to a quest...no idea. I saw a few screen shots and it looked pretty nice.

No entrance... No exit... No information... This looks like somewhere you can go only when you are very very strong. Looks fun though. I wonder if it's pretty.
