Hey i need a group of players to help me fight the dragon, i'm on the Ramuh server, my pc is Iliah. if you wanna help me out just /tell me ^_^ Thank you~!
I am currantly doing the 3rd mission in windy where you have to go to the alters in Giddeus, only i am having trouble finding the alters. Can anyone point me in the right direction.
This area is a great area to farm in, you can do multiple things here. 1. There are lots of NM's to hunt with some really good drops.
2. If you want to try goldsmithing you can turn your Yagudo Necklaces into copper ingots with 1 lightnig crystal. Copper Ingots sell for 10k in Bastok. If you want to level clothcraft, turn the necklaces into thread.
3. Also if you are leveling Gold, use the ores you get from worms to turn into Ingots. 3 copper and 1 zinc will get you a brass ingot. A stack goes for 30k in Bastok.
4. Beehive chips sell for over 20k a stack in Windy. Kill all the bees you can find.
5. Bring a couple sickles to work on harvesting.
6. If you don't want to turn in necklaces into thread or ingots, turn them into Windy for Norg fame. (Utsusemi Scroll) You can use this for Ninja or sell for a million gil or more.
Again this thread might not mean anything to some higher level jobs, but if you are level 10 - 20 and don't have time for a party, or if you are just starting out on the 360. Come here to farm/level up and make lots of gil doing so.

What an a$$inine waste of time the map was. Those lines, all that bouncing around in the basement sent me to the Beguiler's pop spot, an area with some of the highest mobs in giddeus. The spring itself is located in K-12, as far se as you can go, and all I had to do to get there, was stay to my left all the way, and not change maps at all. A persecutor and a piper were the highest level mobs I saw the entire way back. Thank you for that useless map. I'll make use of it next time I want to camp the Beguiler.
Where do these directions go?? long cut imo. small note the drop in I-8 puts you on the lower floor in I-8, not sure why this map was made, if you are going to the elevated area with the nms and key droppers, drop down the hole located in south west corner of H-7. avoid the red path altogether and go down the west side of the map directly to the hole. also two of the holes are really close to ramps to the other floor, if you want to avoid aggro at lower level steer away from the grassy areas in the tunnels. If you are making trains for necklaces dont use the holes you will lose your train. (You should have bought a squirrel!![rat race if you haven't seen it]) (of course there is risks that's why it's called a short cut! if it was easy then that would just be the way.[not sure what movie this is from but I still think it is funny, quote may not be exact.])
The path leads to an NM needed for the DRK AF1 quest.
EDIT: I've been looking on different maps, and I think that path is a rather roundabout way of getting there. You can just head straight to the small black dot and follow the path from there. The red path has you cross through a few unrelated low-level NMs, but otherwise seems unnecessary.

i was walking thro here finding out stuff when this bird started on me i killed it in 1 hit then all his friends came round the corner :0 i managed to kill them all but i was on low hp so i started heling near this pool then 2 killer bees killed me ,--, i took 1 of them with me tho
now thats nice of someone to pgive directions to the bcnm area in giddus but 1 thing u could also go to G-10 and take a left if u dont wanna go through the bottom area, but i like the smiley face lol
Path on map leads more to bird whistle/AF gear (forget job)and there is one lonely Voltary who can drop the key on the lower area near the zone to BCNM (f-12) map, also a chest that pops in the same area(g-12). To get to the BCNM area you dont need to go to the elevated area at all or the lower floors.
on all the websites i have checked none of them show the giddeus treasure chamber but does anyone really know where it is and how u get there because my mission is the
This is where you get it, there's a small path that leads to a chest spawn point with usually a SAM and SMN type sitting there looking bored and a 'Giddeus Spring'. Smack the yags for me and then run as close as you can to the spring and tap it until it gives you water. I haven't done this quest, only seen it while I was farming, but apparently you need something to carry it in (I assume this comes with the quest), so make sure you get that beforehand.
How do I get to the southernmost square? I was told that's where the key dropping mobs were, but I have no idea how to get there (there's a cliff in the way of all the passages to that area)

They're used for both. Since you can get chest keys more than once (but you can only have one at a time), the Giddeus key is for the Kazham airship pass AND will open chests there.

The path to Balgas Dais is the westward one at F-12 on the 'main floor' map.
This is where you will fight the dragon.
If it's like the other 'Mission 2-3' dragon fights, you will have to bring in a pt made up of either Rank 3 (or higher) players, and/or people working on the dragon fight of their 2-3 mission (and have to fight that dragon).
The cap is level 25 on the Bastok dragon, and I think the same here.

DRK AF-1: Reward : Raven Scythe Trade Yagudo Cherry to the ???, and then NM will spawn, make sure you are at least lv 50(or more) b4 soloing this thing, its BLM can Spam Ga II spells like crazy, especially with Manafont.
First time posting, was wondering id there a specific job that you need for it to drop the bow? I camped him at J-11 and 12 and he spawned either every 30 min or every hour and fougt him about 8 times getting just the light soles every single time finally gave up. On Ifrit server so anyone gets the bow for me, I'll give you five light soleas lol others on AH..:(
To get to the BC, first you choose the west route from Giddeus entrance.
Keep going in along this west route, pass the NPC for "Food&Drink" mission and head inside the tunnel. Exit this tunnel at the other end (south) and when you reach another open area, turn LEFT. (NOTE: You don't go to the lower level, and make sure you are on ground floor, which is same map as the Giddeus zone-in.)
After you turned left as described above, stick to the wall on your left and keep going, then you will reach a dome-shaped entrance. Pass this entrance and keep going then you will change zone. After zoned, the BC will be in front of you.
This might not be very much help, but I have seen and defeated another NM Yagudo in Giddeus that hasn't been mentioned in any of the previous posts that I saw. He was in the area before the "box" room where all the Priests, Theologists, and Votaries spawn, but he was on the bottom half of the area, not up on the cliff that you have to be on to get to the "box" room. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name, but I am assuming his job was RNG, because he dropped a bow that was specific to that job. I could be wrong about that, however (his job, not his drop). He wasn't very difficult, even though he checked "impossible to guage" when I was about level 24 or so. I only had one other person with me (I a MNK and she a RDM), and we took him down without too much trouble. The bow he dropped sold for 14,000 gil at the AH, so everytime I'm back in Giddeus, I'm looking for him!
For some reason, the pseudo-nm in the back can vary quite a bit in challenge due to the fact that lots of stuff spawns around him. There was one time he was a piece of cake. Another time, third tier yagudo started spawning around him and he used blink a few times during the fight. Btwm he drops some pretty nice stuff.
I have no idea how a level 50 drk could get owned. Unless it were due to linking and the fact this guy uses blink sometimes lik it was goin outta style. oh ya and I fought the bird at the very back of giddeus (that one square area where you fifght votary and priests etc.) He is NOT a ninja, he is a bard. and a lvl 33nin and 27blm I wasa with we kicked its ass. so dont know what everyone's problem is but he was VERY easy. He dropped a bird whistle or something like that. And the mob that drops the monster sigma can be soloed easily at lvl 45+. (watched several battles myself) One was even a friend of mine, lvl 49blm massacred this guy so dont know what the problem there is. and the two NM in the caves can be easily killed at lvl 23+ (can 2hit kill at lvl 30). When I get a chance maybe ill send in a map.

The one NM Yagudo that's back with the Priests, Votarys, and Theogists is a tough bastard. I'm a lvl 25RDM/12BLM, and he dropped me in 1 hit (I only had about 200 HP, started healing, and he hit me from behind for something like 260 DMG). Destroyed a lvl 50 DRK/25 WAR too.
1) Purhcase map of Giddeus from Windhurst.. it's in Windy Woods near the big tree, two mithra in some sort of hut. 2) To go Giddeus. Take the west path, then go to location H7... it's sort of an alcove on the west side. 3) Fall down the hidden hole at H7. You should fall into a lower level that sort of looks like the head of a snake. 4) Go south from here... you go back up... eventually you need to go to the big box to the south. Don't fall off the ridges.
You can get the key in the far bottom part of the map, the thing shaped like a box... You'll fight 3 different yagudos, a priest, theologist and something else, keep fighting them and they'll drop it. ~Hazy (Bastok)
Beware of the Yagudo Theologists. I don't know where exactly they spawn but I know that my party members and myself were wiped by one, and we did NO damage at about lvl 12-11. I really don't know what kills those guys and we weren't that far from the entrance either.
Actually, the Theologists spawn rather deep in Giddeus. Either you were much further in than you thought, of it chased someone to the entrance, and was just taking it's time getting back.
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but the holes seem to be easily avoidable. The two I've encountered were in the grass in the caves. By avoiding standing in any grass when in the caves, I've never had a problem with the holes.
Also why isn't there a map on this page as there are for some of the other dungeons? We know where it is and some of us have it. I'll gladly upload it if anyone knows how to extract a copy of it from the game.
was just there, took a while to find it but here's what I've learned. When you look at the map, go left (west) instead of right (east) and you'll come to the cave where you're supposed to be, then follow the left wall and avoid the middle until you get to an area with a lot of grass, then fall in. Follow that around a bit until you reach the bottom of the map and there you are, most of those guys checked decent to a 24. Me and a friend got 2 keys in 5 min chaining them...and an hour trying to find the area.
its either H-7 or K-7 is the drop down point. basically when your in the caves you will come to a dead end sort of area, walk to the middle and fall down. and then just follow the map to the southern most part and your there.
also this place if you don't watch where you're running can drop you in the middle of a lower level, via hole in ground, with a piper and a persecutor or more! Be careful here and watch the ground when you walk...
So i haven't seen any posts here reguarding where one can obtain the map of this zone. I really hope i don't have to talk to every NPC in Windurst to find it. I've tried in game but people in FF unlike EQ or other mmorpg's are not so quick to respond with information. So could someone please post where to find the magical map NPC in Windurst? yeah you said it. me and 3 other guys, 2 of them and myself needed the giddeus key, so we went there last night at around 1:00am, couldnt get any, just due to unlucky drops, and decided to call it a night and come back tomorrow (which was today) at noon. we get there and there was literally 20 people looking for keys. over the 2 hours we spent fighting the few yagudos we could get our hands on, we couldnt find a single key. only key found the whole time was by a high leveled japanese player who didnt even need it. bleh.
Can anybody tell me a coordinate the Eyy Mond (the one that drops the Aspir Dagger) spawns at? I'm having trouble trying to find him.... does he spawn in a certain place or all over?
I've seen him spawn at G-7 on the lower level, in the small room with three tunnels out of it. It's just down the hall from the NPC who asks you for Eyy Mond's weapon

You have to drop through the hole and go through the lower level to get there, because if you go to G-10 and turn left, you will walk into a cliff.
