I don't think this is correct. I'm not saying you are wrong, I'm saying Alla is- I checked the quest, and indeed it says the reward for completing it is a map of Attohwa Chasm.
I've *never* done that quest, nor have I ever been to Boneyard Gully, yet I have a map of Attohwa Chasm. It's fairly complex, and I'm pretty sure I would remember! Oh, and I checked my quest log :P
Anyhow, I believe the map is sold by the map-seller in Mhaura. And I believe the correct reward for "One Good Deed?" is map of Bibiki Bay- can anyone confirm this?

I haven't got this map and I can't buy this map at the map seller in Mhaura.I also haven't done "One good deed" but I've got the map from Bibiki bay. I'm going (to try) to do the quest now and post what I got from it here.
My Char is Ellesidil, I opened a new account to start fresh and make the game fun again. So if you're talkative person and you see me on valefore.. SAY HELLO!!!!!!!! or at least wave. Aren't MMORPG's about brining people together?
Ok, so I was rather annoyed at the lack of any good information on climbing Parradamo Tor (which I've renamed 'Satan's Mountain') except for some vague info like "enter southeast, go counterclockwise until you go clockwise". So after 2 hours of frustration, here's Haud's "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Chasm"
First off, head to (K-9). You will be on the easternmost side of the mountain, almost at the lower corner. You'll come to a point wher there will be a ramp on either side of you, if you are facing the mountain. Take the left one, heading South. Proceed up a few steps and you'll reach a fork. Head to the right (North). You should be heading upwards now. Next, you'll hit another fork, on one side (left) is a crak in the wall, the other is a path. Head to the left (South, towards the crack). Proceed a bit further and you'll come to another split. Head north, taking the path heading upwards. At the next intersection, keep straight continuing North. You'll reach a spout, but it'll go down in a few seconds. Continue ahead, walking over the giant bone, still moving Northwards.
Now, you'll come to a dark black spout. This will not die down. At this point, fall off to the side (East). You'll then land on a platform directly below. Head North a bit, and you'll see this walkway ends quickly. Fall down, heading North still, however, and not fall to the right (east) like you did before.
If you did this all right, you should be heading upwards and North. YOu'll soon hit another intersection, but ignore it; head North still. You'll quickly hit another spout, and this one will not die either. So, you guessed it, fall down to the right (east) again. Don't fall too far. You want to fall on the platform DIRECTLY below, and not all the way down. If you did it right, you'll be facing north where th ewalkway continues, and right behind you, the platform will end. Continue North.
After you turn a corner, you'll see this massive bone heading upwards. To your left, you should see that the platform begins to rise. Take it upwards and move towards the bone. IF you don't go upwards, the platform will soon end, and you'll have nowhere to go, but down. Bad. Climb the bone, continuing upwards. At the top of the spiny bone thing, continue West now, moving upwards. You'll hit another intersection, but keep West. The platform will end, and you'll see the top. Too bad you can't get there yet ;-). Fall down to the platform, heading West. Make sure to fall at the END of the platform. If you did it right, a rock should be BEHIND you, not in front. If not, start over ^^. Head West. You'll encounter another spout, but it will disappear soon.
Once again, you'll see the top, but you still can't get there. Fall down again, to the North. Same as before, fall at the platform's END. If you did it right, a rock will be behind you. Head West. This path will wind a bit, and you'll cross over another spine/bone structure as well. Soon, you will hit another perma-spout. Fall to the North again onto the platform below. Do not fall on the ground. You'll be on a platform that will be VERY close to the ground. Don't worry, you're doing fine ^^.
Follow this platform around, heading in the general South direction being careful not to accidentally fall off. When you hit another spine, which is rather short, you'll see a path heading upwards. Take it. You should be heading Northwards and up now. At the top, head to the right (South) towards the crack in the wall.
You'll quickly hit another path heading upwards. Take it. At the top, ignore the path heading South and continue NOrth. You'll hit a spout, but it will disappear soon. Follow the path over 2 sets of bones. After the bones and heading upwards a bit, the path will split.
To the north, you will see another set of bones, so head North. At the end of these bones, you'll hit a dead end. Continue upa bit, and you'll fall onto a path below you. If done right, you will have a rock behind you, and you will be facing Westwards. You'll soon hit another spout, but this one will disappear, and when it does, continue NOrth. Now, just follow this path up a bit more and TA-DA! You're at the top.
While this looks like a lot, it's really about a 5-10 minute walk up if you don't screw up and you know how to do it. Of course, there are a lot of falls, twists, and turns. I would recommend trying yourself first before using this to see if you can do it; it's a fun challenge in the game. The basic idea is "Head counterclockwise from the southeast corner until you are on the direct opposite side from where you started. Then head clockwise. Fall to the path below you if you hit a perpetual spout."
It's really easy, and in a few tries, you'll get it ^^.
Yes I admit that it is pretty bad for a WHM to die from poison. However, I would just like to say two things:
1) If you look at the order of events on the aforementioned post, you will see that this occurred right after the entire pt was raised, so it is quite possible that the WHM was either still weakened or had not even had time to heal back to full (weakened) HP.
2) From what I have heard, the poison plants in Attohwa Chasm give you a poison effect that does 18 points of damage per tick. 18 damage every 3 seconds adds up pretty quickly...

I came here as a level 60 War/whm (yes whm is a good sub for exploring). I didn't have sneak up though and this guy jumped me. I barely defeated him with no mana and about 200 hp left. Just a warning that these guys are nasty. so be cafeful. I encountered him East of Pazradomo Tor where the mobs are about lvl 50-ish.
Is it just me or, is the name pronounced like Ottawa, as in capital of Canada? lol.

The guy that gives you the pouch wants yo to travel to the top of the mountain to the east in attowha chasm.
To get to the top you must start on a little path in the southeast corner of the mountain. Keep going up and everytime you get to smoke wait a little bit for it to dissappear. If it doesnt dissappear, drop down to the ledge below the one you are on and keep heading up.
It took me a few tries to get up there but wasnt really too hard. Once you get to the top, there will be able to target a cradle of rebirth down in a hole. Trade the pouch to the cradle and you will recieve a pouch of parradamo stones or somethin like that. Take them back to Jakaka and he will reward you with Key Item: Miasma Filter, which i suppose will get you through that barrier in Boneyard Gully.
Hope that helps you out.

I spent two hours getting to the top of that mountain, and I was pretty pleased with what I found, especially if that's going to be the home of Phoenix some day.
Never, ever be afraid to explore new territory. It's there for you to enjoy.
I guess the thrill of exploring new areas and acomplishing the challenge of climing and finding the way to the top with your friends is not reward enough.. Well to make the more bang for your time, you should try some of the quests that have you going to the top.

This mountain and subsequent climb is related to the PM 3-3 Windurst Steps...at the top of the mountain within the central crack there is a quest point..."Cradle of Life"...You just didn't look hard enough...52 paladin solo'd to this location, only dangerous mobs are Doom Scorions, the antlions that jump out of the ground...(forgot what they are called) and Master Coeurls...
The path to the top is very challenging...notice there are 2 types of steam vents that block/hinder passage along the route...the misty temporary ones, and the black billowing permanent ones...in most cases the black ones are an indication that the path lies below...you have to drop down one level to continue...not too hard, but I recommend practicing several times before attempting the run from the Loose Sand to the Cradle of life, seeing how its timed.
omg this is the scariest zone ever... eldieme necropolis is nothing compared to this!
sequence of events: -started lvling on antlions -puller sees tiamat -i have to go see tiamat -i have to get a screenshot of tiamat -tiamat aggros me and sucks me in -tiamat kills me -whm tractors me -whm raises me -drk walks over a crack... -giant antlion jumps out of it and eats him! -the rest of us run away -undead come out -i become unweakened... giving me yellow HP -undead aggro -i die again -undead aggros war, whm, and other drk -war, whm, and other drk die -rdm tractors us to safety -whm uses reraise II -Arch Corse (huge undead in a robe!) pops behind rdm -arch corse gets close to aggroing rdm until a bst saved the day -we all get raised -drk walks on a plant that proceeds to poison him -whm walks on a plant that proceeds to poison her -whm dies from poison -rdm raises whm -drk wants another screen shot of tiamat -tiamat aggros drk from a mile away and gets sucked in -whm raises drk -rdm warps out -whm promptly teles us out
...nicely put. If that ever happened to me and my party... I wouldnt express myself any other way. Happy Hunting fellow Adventurer!

I'm sorry but thats absolutly hilarious! I was lookin for a key for the maze when i came to this zone on accident and decided to check it out. I am a level 50 RDM and alot of stuff checked as EP. Anyways, i was runnin through checkin stuff and i stepped on a plant.... somethin hit me for 1/4 of my health, i used my warp macro and got the hell outta there! This zone just sux... lol
I spent about 2-3 hours trying to get to the top of this rock. In some places i would get close, but no matter how hard I would try would slide back down to the ledge. There were however some ledges which I could not find a path to reach and they seemed to go to the top. However it is my assumption that there is currently something blocking the way to prevent getting to the top, It could be a missing 'bone bridge' or a gas vent thats currently 'always on'. Either way at some point in my climb i would get odd camera clipping and could see a structure thats ontop/inside the mountain. That view, plus the whole stone thing clearly indicates that there IS a way up. I need to come back out here with a few other people to cross reference path options.
For those that want to try their nack for climbing. The best path for starting is in the SW of K-8.
Forum discussion Turns out there is a way to the top, involves going counter clockwise. hmm i havent found the south ramp up.
Edit, lol cant beleive i missed it before. start around k-9 then work your way around counter-clockwise till you are on the other side of the rock, head up then go clockwise.

I've been to Paradom Tor and have tried reaching the top. Something always happens and I seem to fall of, get fed up and stop trying. LOL It's a very frustrating mountain, I don't know how you'd reach the top with a mimeo stone. Even if you had Flee, Strider Boots and Powder Boots, those ledges are narrow enough to make anyone squeamish. It took me a few tries to realize that there are some dark spouts that never go away, and these are the points in which you must drop down and follow the path from there.
That's all I really know at this time. I have found one of the Mimeo Stone "Luminants" spots, but is there anyone who has found several? Can you hold several? If anyone has information on this, that'd be cool.
One thing to add, I think that the Phoenix speculations are right on. As I was climbing the mountain, my camera would sometimes be at weird angles. One of these time, it was pointed up into the sky, above the mountain. What I saw made me squeal with glee: A giant red bird circling the mountain. ^^ b I guess we'll see if anyone ever makes it up there.
Does this place have snow? I wanted to go there for my friends smn, but he didn't have the CoP Expansion...(I believe it's part of the expansion) I just wanna know if it's a place of snow like the glacier

If you've downloaded the benchmark 3 and watched the demo you'll see in one of the cutscenes there's bahamut and 6 dragons surrounding him. *hint hint* I'm guessing that means there's only 6 dragons minus bahamut.
I accidentally bumped into Tiamat this morning. Big fella that one is. Drew me in when I got too close for a screenshot, but he didn't get the kill. My sneak and invis dropped when this happened of course, and a Cave Antlion used a "Hole Attack" ability, literally jumping out of the ground and hitting me for over 850. I could have taken the hit if I hadn't been poisoned by a few of those trees already. I found Tiamat in the corner up on the hill at E-9. Looks just like Fafnir, except red.
That new NM is one of the very large dragon HNMs that have been spotted in the past few days. So far, I've read about one in King Ranperre's Tomb (Vrtra) and one in Ulgerand Range (Jorgumand). I've also heard speculation that there might be eight total dragons, one for each element.
As for killing Tiamat, I haven't heard of anyone killing it yet, but I have seen pictures of an entire alliance of 75s get decimated by it.
I spotted a NM by one of the excavation sites. It was a large dragon named Tiamat. anyone seen it before or know what it drops? I didnt have a map so i couldnt tell you where it was at.
there are 3 of these new wyrm NM found so far, all are stupid high level and supposidly fly so that melee can not attack them. someone posted that their hnm ls or whatever fought one of them, something like 15 very high lvl rangers fighting it forsomething like 7 hours and couldnt beat it. said they have 50% damage reduction and sick regen rate, and whiped out their whole alliance with a single AoE tp attack except 1 rdm.
DRK68/THF34. The entire west side of the map will own me. All the tracer antlions there are still VT. Also, on the west side of the map there are plants that if you walk near them poison you for 18 HP per tick. Once i got through the map to the east side (the side with Parradom tor) everything was suddenly all too weak to be worthwhile.
I wandered around and finally managed to get right up next to the mountain in the middle. On the way there i picked up a few Mimeo stones from Luminents that you examine. Like stated above the mimeo stones only last for like 5-10 minutes max. After about an hour i made it up to the top of the mountain to find Cradle of Rebirth. From the description you get when examining the Mimeo Stone in your Key item list, it seems you have to take the stone up to the Cradle of Rebirth. But i honestly dont think its possible to get all the way up the mountain in time. Maybe if you got lucky and all the black gas vents were down and you had THF af which increased Flee time + Strider Boots + Those boots that give you Flee per usage. Not to mention the ledges are kind of glitchy and tend to bump you around a lot. I dont think its possible to get that key item up to the top without it going dim and shattering.
I saw a Lumicide (like a ??? except named) when I was wandering around Attowha Chasm. Clicked on it, and got a "Mimeo Stone" key item.
I read the decription it went along something like this "The light of the Mimeo Stone shines in direction of the top of Parradamo Tor" and so I went looking for Parradamo Tor.
After about 1 minute or so, I got the message "The Mimeo Stone begins to fade" and gradually it began to fade more with lines such as "The Mimeo Stone's light diminishes" and "The Mimeo Stone's light becomes dim."
This went on for a good 5 min - 10 min and then the item "went dark" and disappeared from my key items.
I wonder if you have to make it to the top of Parradamo Tor and hit the Cradle of Rebirth while this Mimeo Stone is still "lit"
Getting to the top of the mountain is painful especially when you fall off and then realize, some of the dark gas vents actually stop for a few minutes. When I was going up I encountered 2 like this, (one being the last before the summit) so if you seem to be at a dead end on a vent it might be a good idea to wait a couple minutes and have a look around. When you reach the top you'll find yourself looking down into the heart of a volcano, with a targetable point called "Cradle of Rebirth". Unfortunatly when I examined it all I got was "Nothing seems out of the ordinary". Oh well :P
"Cradle of Rebirth" for some reason reminds me of Phoenix...I guess maybe because when you summon him in past FF's, I THINK (I may be wrong..correct me if i am) "Flames of Rebirth" but yeah anyway I got nothing seems out of the ordinary also =\
Its in Port Windurst at the Fishing Guild. Talk to the Tarutaru there for a quest. He'll mention something about proving ownership of the island in Bibiki Bay. Go there and find a ??? (unfortunately I didn't write down the POS) to pop 8 NM mandragoras. A 75 BLM and 60 RDM disposed of these with ease. Things to note: they can be slept, they gain TP while asleep, instantly use "Dream Flower" when they wake up, and the other black mandies around will add.
After you complete the NMs and re-examine the ??? (its once for EVERYONE in the group), you'll receive a keyitem. Go back to the Tarutaru and he'll mention finding a Mithra in this area. The Mithra is found via a cutscene when you enter Boneyard Gully.
Steps to Reach Boneyard Gully: As a note before continuing, you need Sneak and Poisona for this adventure. You might not die from the Poison the plants in the more difficult area, but you WILL die if you drop in the yellow and aggro the massive amounts of undead that spawn at night (one of which is the new commander of the undead...freaky). Everything on the left hand portion of the map cons decent challenge to tough to a level 75. 1) Proceed to the right hand portion of the map. I don't remember the exact way from the zone, but you cross the chasm once and go up the cave. You should enter around I-9ish. 2) Hug the left wall until you find a cave. 3) Follow the tunnels until you get close to F-7. This is a very long path but its the safest and easiest way there (the Hecteyes and worms were Too weak to a level 60). 4) Once you get to F-7, everyone must be up Sneak at this point. Hug the right wall and you should find a tunnel behind some rocks near some antlions. This is at F-6. Proceed up the path there and you'll zone into Boneyard Gully and complete the quest. You'll get the map immediately but he quest does not complete until you talk to the Tarutaru again.
well i went in as a 58 nin and i was fine untill i got to the place with the monarch ogerflies and the tracker ant lions. They were IT high eva and def to me too. Also when trying to climb to the top my way was always blocked by these spouts of dark gas. It is kind of like the flame spouts in ifrits but not as big and you can not target them. I never got to the top of the mountain. When i was wandering around the base of the mountain i found a Key item for got its name though. I think you are suposed to bring it to the top of the mountain for the discripion said that the stone glows from the energy atop of paradamo, the light drom the stone fade and then it breaks.
it is possible to get to the top of the the pazadamo tor on the east side. there are narrow ledges that wrap around the tor that can be walked on. several of the ramps lead to know where. it is a bit of a maze but on the easten side of the tor one of the ramps will wrap around to the north and by droping off several ledeges to lower ledges and going back and fourth you can reach the top. i am going to make actual directions soon in the future and post them on the page i linked above
I just thought I would offer some info on mobs in the area. I went in and got a sneak peak around (before being brutally slaughtered by a scorpion in 3 hits (~222 per hit..)). Here's some mobs and what they conned to me as a 37THF/18MNK:
Hecteyes: DC Flesh Eater (a worm): DC (I was also never agroed by one of these guys although I walked right by them a lot) Tulwar Scorpion: IT w/ high def&eva Sand Lizard: IT w/ high def&eva Tracker Antlion: IT w/ high def&eva Monarch Ogrefly (a fly): IT w/ high def&eva
Jus thought I would give a heads up on what to expect I guess.
When you first enter form the Maze of Shakrami it's just tunnels basically, with the worms and hecteyes being the only things around. The big bad stuff is in the outside, and it's scary :-\ I was poisoned out there from just standing around..."The posion of the Gasponia has begun to spread through your body." That poison ate about 15 HP per tick (I went back done the tunnel again and it wore off after going through half my HP..) Anyways! I'm done! ^_^

(which I've renamed 'Satan's Mountain') except for some vague info like "enter southeast, go
counterclockwise until you go clockwise". So after 2 hours of frustration, here's Haud's
"Hitchhiker's Guide to the Chasm"
First off, head to (K-9). You will be on the easternmost side of the mountain, almost at the lower corner. You'll come to a point wher there
will be a ramp on either side of you, if you
are facing the mountain. Take the left one, heading South. Proceed up a few steps and you'll
reach a fork. Head to the right (North). You should be heading upwards now. Next, you'll hit
another fork, on one side (left) is a crak in the wall, the other is a path. Head to the
left (South, towards the crack). Proceed a bit further and you'll come to another split.
Head north, taking the path heading upwards. At the next intersection, keep straight
continuing North. You'll reach a spout, but it'll go down in a few seconds. Continue ahead,
walking over the giant bone, still moving Northwards.
Now, you'll come to a dark black spout. This will not die down. At this point, fall off to
the side (East). You'll then land on a platform directly below. Head North a bit, and you'll
see this walkway ends quickly. Fall down, heading North still, however, and not fall to the right (east) like you did before.
If you did this all right, you should be heading upwards and North. YOu'll soon hit another
intersection, but ignore it; head North still. You'll quickly hit another spout, and this
one will not die either. So, you guessed it, fall down to the right (east) again. Don't fall
too far. You want to fall on the platform DIRECTLY below, and not all the way down. If you
did it right, you'll be facing north where th ewalkway continues, and right behind you, the
platform will end. Continue North.
After you turn a corner, you'll see this massive bone heading upwards. To your left, you
should see that the platform begins to rise. Take it upwards and move towards the bone. IF
you don't go upwards, the platform will soon end, and you'll have nowhere to go, but down.
Bad. Climb the bone, continuing upwards. At the top of the spiny bone thing, continue West
now, moving upwards. You'll hit another intersection, but keep West. The platform will end, and you'll see the top. Too bad you can't get there yet ;-). Fall down to the platform,
heading West. Make sure to fall at the END of the platform. If you did it right, a rock
should be BEHIND you, not in front. If not, start over ^^. Head West. You'll encounter
another spout, but it will disappear soon.
Once again, you'll see the top, but you still can't get there. Fall down again, to the
North. Same as before, fall at the platform's END. If you did it right, a rock will be
behind you. Head West. This path will wind a bit, and you'll cross over another spine/bone
structure as well. Soon, you will hit another perma-spout. Fall to the North again onto the
platform below. Do not fall on the ground. You'll be on a platform that will be VERY close
to the ground. Don't worry, you're doing fine ^^.
Follow this platform around, heading in the general South direction being careful not to
accidentally fall off. When you hit another spine, which is rather short, you'll see a path
heading upwards. Take it. You should be heading Northwards and up now. At the top, head to
the right (South) towards the crack in the wall.
You'll quickly hit another path heading upwards. Take it. At the top, ignore the path heading South and continue NOrth. You'll hit a spout, but it will disappear soon. Follow the
path over 2 sets of bones.
You'll soon hit another spout, but this one will disappear, and when it does,
continue NOrth. Now, just follow this path up a bit more and TA-DA! You're at the top.
While this looks like a lot, it's really about a 5-10 minute walk up if you don't screw up
and you know how to do it. Of course, there are a lot of falls, twists, and turns. I would
recommend trying yourself first before using this to see if you can do it; it's a fun
challenge in the game. The basic idea is "Head counterclockwise from the southeast corner
until you are on the direct opposite side from where you started. Then head clockwise. Fall
to the path below you if you hit a perpetual spout."
It's really easy, and in a few tries, you'll get it ^^.
I don't know if this is the fastest way up either.
But what I know is that this way will take you up to the top.
So, {Thank You.} very much and rate up ^^.
PS: I tried to take the Mimeo Stone to the top and it faded away in the last ramp! Grrrr!
-whm dies from poison
You must be one fool whm to let yourself die from poison. I haven't died from being poisoned since at least level 10. Very sad.

^^ b I guess we'll see if anyone ever makes it up there.

there are 3 of these new wyrm NM found so far, all are stupid high level and supposidly fly so that melee can not attack them.
someone posted that their hnm ls or whatever fought one of them, something like 15 very high lvl rangers fighting it forsomething like 7 hours and couldnt beat it. said they have 50% damage reduction and sick regen rate, and whiped out their whole alliance with a single AoE tp attack except 1 rdm.

A Wyrm IS a dragon. Its an older dragon.
::EDIT:: I'm just going with D&D and stuff like that. As soon as I get the exact numbers, I can say how old a Wyrm is.

After you complete the NMs and re-examine the ??? (its once for EVERYONE in the group), you'll receive a keyitem. Go back to the Tarutaru and he'll mention finding a Mithra in this area. The Mithra is found via a cutscene when you enter Boneyard Gully.
Steps to Reach Boneyard Gully:
As a note before continuing, you need Sneak and Poisona for this adventure.
You'll get the map immediately but he quest does not complete until you talk to the Tarutaru again.

here is a map
it is possible to get to the top of the the pazadamo tor on the east side. there are narrow ledges that wrap around the tor that can be walked on. several of the ramps lead to know where. it is a bit of a maze but on the easten side of the tor one of the ramps will wrap around to the north and by droping off several ledeges to lower ledges and going back and fourth you can reach the top. i am going to make actual directions soon in the future and post them on the page i linked above

I'm done! ^_^
