Description

Accessible directly from Northern San d'Oria and Jugner Forest, this area is comprised of a series of unconnected docks providing access to the barge that travels down the Phanauet Channel. While a small zone in area, getting around on the barge can be rather time-consuming. It is best left for players who prefer a scenic route.

I zoned in from Sandy, hopped on the barge, and it took off right away. My friend didn't make it to the barge, and amazingly the NPC said the next barge would come in 37 minutes lol, AND EVEN THEN it wouldn't be taking passengers.

This place really confuses me haha... I can see that there's 3 general areas, and there's barge rides that go from one side to the central landing, and from central landing to the other side, etc. But the timing of the barges, and the routes they take -- any idea how that stuff works?

Aside from that... gorgeous scenery. Often crazy downpours of rain, kinda scary if you're level 30 or lower on a barge ride with some creatures crawling aboard hehe

Ran around last night, fun place.
Here's the trick about the barges:

You can only go SOUTH from Northern Landing to Central Landing.
You can only go NORTH from Southern Landing to:

Central Landing: Take the NewtPool or Emica Waterway Barge
Northern Landing: Take the Main Channel Barge

We didn't try to go anywhere from Central, so someone else will need to fill in that part.
The barge being "out of service" at Northern was one that had come up from Southern Landing; they don't just turn around and go back, they keep going off the map, so you can't get back on it. Wait a few minutes and you'll be able to catch one going south.
Catching a barge from Southern to Northern took us about 30-40 minutes last night; not fun.
This area seems to be primarily for fishing; each of the barge routes from Southern has a different kind of fish that can be caught (apparently). There's a guy at Southern that tells you all about the routes going north and what you can catch.

Tonight I went with a group to Carpenter's Landing from Northern San d'Oria (none of the previous posts mention this exit, but its clearly marked on the Northern San d'Oria map).

We were disappointed to find the barge ride out of service though :( Has anyone else experienced this? Is this something that is really out of service or one of those things where you need to complete some unusual quest to "fix" it?

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that. Once I got off the barge in central landing, I couldn't get back on because it was out of service. I guess it's like that in all places except the norther landing. Kinda sucks I guess.

I beleive you can take every other barge from Northern to Central landing. If coming barge is out of service (I beleive about 40 min wait) next is bout 15 min wait and will let you on. The trip is one way however, and I have not noticed any other barge or route leading to Southern landing... If anyone has info on that it would be greatly appreciated.
Where to Get it?

I spotted a NM in here today. It was called Overgrown Ivy. A group of 3-4 lvl70-75 people took it out with great ease.

This area is set up in three different sections, each one connected by a barge ride. There is a northern landing, central landing, and a southern landing. When I was exploring I didn't have a map, but I was able to explore the northern landing and the central landing a bit.

You enter the northern section via the eastern exit in Jugner Forest. The western exit in Jugner leads to the central section. The barge ride to connect the areas seems to be heavily centered around fishing. The whole ride, there's a guy explaining what you're seeing ("If you look to your right, you'll see yadda yadd"). The barges can be taken (I'm assuming it's this way since this is what the NPC said) to 4 different areas. The 3 landings, and some other place. Something about lizards...I dunno. Oh, and the barge costs 80g to ride.

The exits to the zones take you through a series of winding cave passages, each one coated with a spiderweby type substance...though no spiders or crawlers are about.

There are a variety of mobs in the area, but mostly ones you'll find in Jugner, just maybe a bit stronger. Tigers, funguars, bees. Also there is a new type of venus-fly-trap-like mob named stuff like "Batttrap" and "Birdtrap".

I think that's all I can remember for now. I'll post more if I remember.

Just to add some info to what you said. Northern landing has the easiest mobs, central landing is a little tougher (like jugner). Southern landing has the toughest mobs. They were all all EP or TW to me as a lvl40 DRK.

Also you can reach the northern landing from N. Sandy.

Its too bad I didnt go with a lot of hatchets so I was unable to log a possibly rare log because my hatchet broke on it with no result.

Anyway here is what I have found:
Arrowwood log
Willow log
Ash log
Walnut log

Very likely similiar to Jugner Forest findings with probably rarer findings. Please post any other findings or rate of finds.
Oh and one more thing, Does anyone know how North San D'Oria is connected to this area?

I've also gotten the normal crap.

Dryad Root
Acorn

I like this area for logging, but I don't like how the two areas are not connected. I am trying to work this area into my Jugner run somehow, or I'm going to bring a friend who can work the central landing while I work the southern.

I like it better than Jugner because, with a friend, the logging points aren't near as spread out.

Happy logging!

I have fishing skill of 12 and have caught only monsters, snippers and an easy prey pugil to my 41 war, using a sibiki rig, I shall try the fish lure next to get a lizard to trade to the green guy on the boat and see what happens
