Shoger: The way that quest works, if my memory serves me correctly, is you check it the first time and get a cut scene. Next you have to trade a pick axe to the ??? and you should get another cut scene. They should talk about the pickaxe not being strong enough or something to that extent. After that cut scene, i believe you have to zone or log out(your pick, either way should work) than you have to trade a mythril pick to the ???. These run about 10-20k on my server but if you plan on spending alot of time in the zone, the map is a must. After the following cut scene you should be rewarded with the map.

DragonkingonValefor: Just in case you were wondering, you can also mine up all the Moblin gear, Troll Vambrace(sp?), Troll Pauldon, Khroma Ore (800k -1M on Lakshmi), Demon Horn (20k), and Bomb ash (whoopie...) Just in case you were wondering.

MaatHatter: The way to get past the big doors, is you need to search the area for a ???. There are probably 2 in the area, one is for the map quest and does not move, but the other is for something called the Cast Metal Plate. This ??? moves around the area. You can find the points for this by going to www.ffxi-atlas.com. Just find the correct ??? and check it and you will recieve the key item "Cast Metal Plate". This is the key that will let you through the door. It is a key item so you dont have to trade it and it will never go away. Once you have it, you have it forever.

ok while i was getting the key to the door i though i might mine where cerb. pops after i get it i get key (need to touch door then find a ??? ps. map on ffxiatlas for pos ect) it was about 96% moon on dark day the first place i went to i got 3 iron sand and (shocked) 2 adame ores! the rest of spots i found (about 7) gave lil stuff ill update this as i get new items

note: i do not use any mining gear

how do i get there from whitegate? i have been asking loads of people on how to get there and they dont know what or where it is so can someone please guide me thanks

ok went there and fringing found a Cute scene at L-6 u need a pickaxe for the next one. Then something else and safe zone and warp zone at K-6-7. Ok to get threw that gate there's a ??? mark and will give u "Key Item".U must touch door 1st to get item and cannot leave EX. Die and come back get it. ATM for all u going as your 75 and think u can kill all the monster. I saw a whole party of 75 get killed by one. Sneak works most of the time and you probably need invisble by the bombs and pugil. Atm havlung most aggro by sound again except trolls.Troll aggro by sight too.. Also Nm or HNM probably the better word is threw the gate and threw the Fortress name Cerberus. Hope this help u out guys and girls. P.s. My boy Elyrc Help me out with all this and we r trying to getting Khroma ore so he can make his polearm that's why we r here.
