Though gobs aren't a concern here, it's not the pulling cakewalk that the jungles were. There, your only concerns were those aforementioned gobs and rival pullers. Garlaige, on the other hand, seems to be designed to make thieves' journey to Viper Bite difficult.
First and foremost, don't fall into the holes. If you do, you will probably die, and no one will want to come down there to Raise you (and even if they did, both of you would probably just die immediately afterwards). Be patient, step carefully. If you do fall, your Black Mage may be able to Tractor your dead body out.
Your primary (read: only) targets will be Seige Bats and Borer Beetles. Borer Beetles aggro by sight, hit hard, and are tougher for the amount of EXP they give. The only reason you'll be pulling beetles is if there's really nothing else, or you need to get one out of the way so it won't aggro you later. Try to avoid them if you don't have a Black Mage; they have high physical defense. Seige Bats will be what you'll be fighting the most. They don't aggro, but they do link with other Seige Bats as well as Wingrats, which will be congregating in the "rooms" on the sides of the corridors.
Do not pull Seige Bats across holes. Rather than flying directly to you, they will frequently take "the long way" through side rooms, linking with every set of Wingrats along the way. It's best to play it safe and avoid pulling any Seige Bats remotely close to rooms. The farther you are away from camp, the bigger the risk this will be. If your Seige Bat seems to be taking an oddly large amount of time to get to camp, consider zoning; it may be towing along a couple Wingrat trios. I would highly advise against pulling from the hall directly forward from the stairs; it's a veritable deathtrap of linking.
The safest camp is on the stairs, though it's not necessarily the most convenient for chaining. Other alternatives are the various camps by brick walls, though be warned that they both pop mobs, and the one at G-9 will require the party to be Sneaked and Invised to get to, as it involves traversing through side rooms filled with undead. Also be warned that if you choose this camp, zoning may not be an option.
Bring a fast ranged weapon; there is very limited space for pulling, and competition will probably be stiff. If you are at all concerned with linking, trust your instinct, and find a safer-looking mob.
Partied here last night on Pheonix server as RDM33/BLM16 and gained about 7000 exp total...(I lvld from 32 to 33)..our prt was very efficient, however I am always depressed about the drops I get here (bat fang = 2, bat wing= 1)..oh well..what kind of drops will I get outside of SeaSerpent Grotto?...I'm fairly new to the game but capable

well everyone who is lvl 30+ will find their way into here and will stay into the early 50's. Its either this Area Crawlers nest or eastern altepa. This is my favorite out of the 3 because it has a short walk from jeuno. Oh by the way for all people who are new dont go falling into any holes here because enemies downstairs are a lot more powerful and will easily kill anything upstairs.

I am currently behind the 3rd banishing gates waiting for one of the coffer to spawn. If you make an immediate left right after you come through the gate there is a bogy style mob who is constantly standing near the dead end (right where a coffer should pop). I notice the wall right behind him has a ???. Anyone know what this is/what its for? I've checked some online maps and havent been able to find an answer! I dont really feel like clicking and dieing while waiting for my af item

I don't know why people 32-33 go here instead of Sea Serpent Grotto... Just party right outside the entrance to Norg and it's amazing experience. Just a tip for the people that this place.
At 32 RDM I was getting Chain 5 for an average chain xp of 1450 (total) here, and it took me less than five minutes to get to camp from Jeuno. The party's efficiency was high because the WHM and I were in the same house timing our resting and because we had two other LS members who regularly partied together in the party. Also, we were alone in the 32-33 camp area. I partied at the Sea Serpent's Grotto camp as BLM, and it was also quite good, but this was amazing.
I hate this place so dam much thats y i only spen to days here from like 48-50(till i hit the exp cap when u hv 1tnl) this place can be so messed up espically when serket is out err me no likely this place Serket hit lvl 75 pld for 1243 dmg umm guys Escape can i have it i no this is gonna be messy.... I hit 32 with my DRK so I thought, hell, I've never been to the citadel....from what i hear it's THE place to go for lvl 32s and up.
So far, out of the three times I've sat waiting, I've gotten one PT and it disbanded within a half hour. I've sat and waited for five hours EACH TIME, flag up, random advertisements dispersed every 10 or 20 minutes so as to not annoy the current groups. As far as I'm concerned, this place sucks.
Once I did get into the pt, it wasn't TOO bad, but we did have a lvl 75 whm sitting next to us so I can't say for certain. So I figure I'll attempt the desert next.

i'm in Garlaige Citadel now and it is not that bad. i'm a lvl 31 rdm and my pt is beating the bats easily. every battle we get about 200-240 exp. Garlaige Citadel is not a bad place if u get used to it and don't wander far from the entrance. the only thing that went wrong was when 10 bats or something like that aggroed our RNG while he was pulling one. our lowest lvl in the pt is 30 but we're doing great.
I played a few jobs and been in Garlaige a bit, but after lotsa leveling and what not I decided to take a break and play my beast... Altepa got boring so me and my duo partner (Eclipza) come to garlaige. Most peps there lvl on the steps near zone...1st thing i see when i enter is dead body all over... I was like wow this place hasnt changed at all, my parner laughed ( he has never been here before). The mass bat link was still around so i was like hey.. lets clean up this mess so that if maybe we die we can get the PT's that we helped out give us a raise if we need it. Mess gone we start xp'n as we start to head out... some puller links 3 bats... 2T's and a Even I charm the even, but the other bat he is on his own... I want XP... Wing rats in masses here and NO body wants them ^^ there Sic ~> Jet stream did between 100(bettle) and 352 (bones) it was nice... We then found a nice pattern, kill 2 bones then on to the bomb, then on to 2 pots ending chain with 252XP... It was nice room hopping.. Then the problem started, we made our way to the 1st gate after clearing rooms to help a high lvl open gate and my partner gets argo from bat... It was citadel bat... ouch It hit hard and was IT to us.. I got charm and ran/leave with it.. but it still argo'd my partner he tried to charm/leave it, but it didnt last long and died... the high lvl was a sam/whm and he raised him then killed bat. After waiting for weakness to go I wide scan and see like 5 citadel bats near zone... WOW... I dont know how they leave the area but 1 was near the 1st gate so maybe thats where they leave.. we got away from the gate just to make sure thats not where they go... I fell down the hole once.. but lucky i have sneak to get outta there. My parner was so lucky he was fighting while i fell, he miss charms and zones... I clean up his mess 2 wingrats and 2 siege. Lucky ( i guess) every1 was zoned or dead before his train came.. with cleaning up mess the only xp i got was on last bat for a chain 2 for 256 xp ( solo eclipza was still resting ). beats me how i got that but hey im not complaining. <Fun> <Excitement><Do you need it?> that is this place you must be on your TOES ta level here.
For other BST out there I went in at 41 Wing Rat decent-even :: Siege bat even-T (rare decent) :: Bettle even-T (most T)... Bones where T mostly Bomb was VT and the pots where VT... BOMB exploded once doin over 1880+ dmg to my bettle and eclipza's Bat they didnt make it ; ; lol watch out ;p

will ... first time i was here i didnt like it ( as my friends always telling me : GC = Death & evil ) , pop while fighting + links i remembered one time beetle pop while we were fighting a bat , aggro us at 20% HP ( that bat's HP ) and we were in chain 5 ( guess whm and blm MP :P ) 2 tanks (PLD + WAR/MNK) ( i was THF ). in the middle of the fight whm 2h --> death , then both tanks follow him , then mnk. i remain with blm , i voked and asked him to heal (THF/WAR) bloody bolts all the way + 2h + breserk and finished the fight :P man i love my THF :P
i came back to lvl war ( skilling up parry faster this way :P ) and (WAR/NIN) we had 2 blink tanks and we easily get chain 5, even at links we are cool and finishing them fast.
the main problem : Noobs , they link and zone like 15 bats and beetle from the area where you can lvl at 50
man i still remember when i had to restart my pc and i loged inside ( my biggest mistake ) , i loged to see myself between 2 warith ... i took the coldest shawer in mylife ( water III ) :P
my advice , if you link that many and you there are alot at zone ( in this case low lvl nice people who came for fun and wanna lvl ) go back and accept death , maybe a DRK or blm see you and tracter you and someone cast raise on you... better then scrowing everyone life and cousing death to everyone else
( i know i talk alot :P )

This place absolutely blows. I sat in East Altepa (my favorite place to lvl) as BLM 34 looking for a party for about an hour, then my LS suggested i go to garlaige citadel. i had never been there, so i figured it may be a little fun. WRONG. this place is terrible, overcrowded, too many links, and there are more dead bodies littering the ground than pieces of the stone wall. i am NEVER partying here again, despite the rather long wait for a party in altepa.
30-34 Yhoatar Gobs, Mandragoras, Opo's 32-34 East Altep(my favorite) Beetles. 34-40 Crawlers Nest, Altep 40-50 Yhoatar - telepoint, Coeurls, and more. 43ish move towards Ifrit cldrn. entrance and chain those gobs. Usually no competition, and they are very suicidal, can chain to 10+ easy 45 you can kill funnel Bats in GC but not reccomended 40-50 CN is also good still 40-50 West Altep, East Altep quick sand cave entrance 42-47 West entrance 47-50
I dont understand why anyone even lvls here. At lvl 32 you can go to East Altepa Desert and make good exp off beetles... You can stay in Altepa for quite a while. Once exp gets low you just move to West Altepa, kill beetles there, then move to Quicksand Caves... You dont have to lvl in Garlaige OR Crawlers Nest so dont bitch about lvling here when there is such a great place you could go to instead.
Well what is worst? Waiting to get a PT in altep for hours at a time, or getting XP in a overcamped area? The same could be said about the dunes.

The basement sucks when its packed, so I suggest doing a /search before deciding to come here.
However, when its not packed,it's got a very good set up for BST to XP there. charm beetles and bats and send them at bombs. fun stuff. I'd suggest coming here when no one is here. cuz when people are xping off what you want to use for pets, you might run out of pets during a fight... so bring jugs too.
One time a friend of mine asked me what i was using for pets, because he wanted to fight beetles. And I was using bats, the beetles were too strong for me to charm. Really the beetles were just in my way since I was fighting bombs. This is one example of how using the /search function works, and how BST and "real jobs" (as Runefury calls them) can co-exist.
some alternatives for BST: behind banishing gate 2(once you can charm beetles), crawler's nest, sea serpent grotto, ulegaurde range or the sewers under San d'oria or maybe the canal under windurst. I cant remember exactly where I lvl'd lol. check the BST forums. http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/db/jobs.html?fjob=8&mid=1080158187616864698&num=471
Also if you're here for the coffer be nice to the BSTs and they might let you have an extra coffer key when it drops off the hellmines which seem to me have a good drop rate. (that's actually how i got my coffer key for BLM AF gloves quest lol)
Also the camp @ I-8 is not the safest place to camp when BSTs are fighting bombs. They can't really do anything about their pets being on one side of you and their enemy being on the otherside. And if the BST does end up dying or something bad like that happens the bomb will have to go thru that tunnel to get to its spawn point.
I've been here as BLM and as BST lvling up. And both were frustrating. We ran out of stuff to fight when i played blm, cuz there were too many parties. And our puller didnt check the BSTs old pet to see if it was at full health sometimes so we didnt get xp for a few beetles we killed. I've actually asked a BST once to not pull his bomb past us which is kinda impossible for him to do. Yeah I'm such a NOOB ><
edit: after the Dec12th update the camp @ I-8 should be safe since the bomb should automatically warp to its pop area if the BST dies.
It's been a while since I was here, but I always wondered about the ???s up in the air above some areas, I remember a few. There was one right above the camp near the entrance where the beetle pops, but it's still a good camp because you don't get hit by trains. What are they for?

Go to the bottom right corner of G-8 on the first map when you enter from Sauromugue Champaign. The hole is in the middle of the hallway. You will be able to see the chest from the hole if it's on the plateau.
I remeber my first time here, and it totally sucked. Assuming you start here at lvl 32, the lowest mobs are 8, count 8, lvls higher than you. I don't remember what the downtime was like, but i don't imagine its very good. Add to that the fact that the space is very tight, and on a busy night there's barely any room for anyone. Some of the less populated camps almost guarantee links. And lets not forget the constant trains that force your party to zone and wait five minutes for the mobs to leave. And this is the best-case scenario, as sometimes you entire pt gets wasted by a ghost or a flock of bats.
So why party here? DON'T.
Go to the Sea Serpent Grotto. Look at some of the options:
Ironshell (crab): 37-40 Big Jaw (fish): 37-39 Lake Sahagin: 36-39 Pond Sahagin: 36-39 Spring Sahagin: 36-39 Undead Bats: 36-39
These are perfect for a pt fresh out of Yhoator Jungle. I plan on casing the Grotto and looking for a good camping spot, but off the top of my head i imagine that both the Norg and Yuhtunga Jungle zones would make good camps. Also, i've never xp'ed off Sahagins, so i don't know how difficult they are, but i imagine they're about the same, if not easier, as a goblin of the same lvl. Crabs are choice xp, since they are easy, and their AOE attack can be effectively nullified by Barwatera, and they can be Aspired from. Of course, a RDM with dispel is recommended.
So, why put yourself through the hell of Garlaige Citadel? It's not worth it when you can go to safer, move productive areas. You may not get 200 xp per kill, but i can promise you, you'll get more xp per hr at the Grotto than at the Citadel.

Sahagins are pretty tough. They use Hydroshot frequently, which causes whoever is hit by it to lose hate.

Although it's true that Garlaige completely sucks at 32, I, and many other players, most definately can't say your recommendation is well-researched.
No, at level 32, you will not have a great time at Garlaige Citadel. Mostly because the recommended level is 35 and up, not 32. And, with a well-dynamic'd party, doing 200xp with almost no downtime is a bit of a struggle and a carefully balanced feat, and easily tipped, but incredibly well worth the effort. Especially if you're careful and/or smart enough to stay near the zone, or at least know a well-planned escape route with the proper timing to be able to get from point A to Zone Point, before taking a lethal dosage of damage. Or, at the very least, have your WHM cast Reraise.
It is, however, horribly obvious that there are more than one place in the game to level at a certaint level. That, if nothing else, is what most Japanese players depend on. To find their own area to play at, so they don't have to deal with the "stupid American players". So don't go off pretending like you're smart or cool because you know of another place to level. Much more, do your homework. If you'd've gone at 35, it'd've been hellish still, but definately do-able. Not to mention, hell-holes like Garlaige help the less mature players be a bit more refined and skilled. Take 'that' into account as well.
Im just curious... are you saying never pt here? or are you sayin dont go until you're a higher level than like 35? But if i do go To Sea Serpent Grotto im gonna have to have some descriptive directions to get back to Kazham...or maybe ill just Set my HP in Kazham, then Go into Norg change job to a level 1 and take on an Ironshell lol.
well i started here very low as 30 cos i was told my some lvl 75 everything guy it was time to leave kazham so there i am waitin for party..still waitin..waiting still finally make my own party with 32pld/16war (died 1 time)(v good player) 31smn/15whm (died 2 times) 30war/15whm <-----me (died 4 times) 32whm/16blm (died 2 times) 31mnk/15nin 32drk/16mnk
didnt help that i was pulling but i started on 1900xp and after many a kill and been kill i was on 1919..3 hours for 19xp?? hmmmmmm
so i hate this place its horrid makes kazham look like a walk in the country..
i was unlucky you gott be careful where you camp as bats seem to like to spawn on your head while you are tanking..notice the PLURAL in bats yes i didnt stand a chance..but each fight was 200xp a time but that properly drains all mp and hp leaving you with 5hp and a temptation to disequip your +7hp trousers to see what happens
WOW so sorry to hear about your pain...... Maybe this will be a good opportunity to pass along some advice to those thinking of comming here to exp.
For MAGES LVL 30-31 is absolutely fine...ur not tanking anything and if(in a rare chance) you are able to get ur melee on you can get some decent skill up, same for magic skill ups, may not land as often but you will get a bigger skill up when they do.
For TANKS 32-34 is recommended for this fabulous place. First thing you end up fighting are bats...and they sukk. A lvl30 tank can get chomped on rather easily if the PT isn't on the ball. As you have sadly stated. The extra HP, and stats added by those two lvls are good enough to keep you alive.
For MELEE 31-32 is good. THF will alrady have SATA and be getting VIPER BITE shortly after. Most RNGs, DRKs and DRGs do well here in regard to dealing DMG.
Hope that helps those that are anxious to get out of the heat of the jungles but aren't in a hurry to gain that 19EXP due to being misled/hasty.
Hope it helps!!

Party skill and your ability to move as a group is a major part of being able to survive here. That, and a good 75% of party deaths are caused by bad pulls. Stupid pullers are a plague to this game. I get it all the time. I'll say, "Don't pull" 3 minutes in advance, and then I see "Whoops" and a pull macro. It's really, really stupid.
This is a place where you probably want to know the players you're dealing with. You either rock here, or you get screwed and go through slowly. Me? I lost 3 levels from a retarded party in Kazham, but I went through here in 2 days, and Valkurm in a day.
Ya know what, compared to my time in Yhoater Jungle..This place is really A piece of cake. I finally got to lvl 32 In Yhoater, and when I went here...I was just a lil low, so I made a party By myself
Whm/blm<---Me Brd/whm Smn/whm Sam/war Nin/whm<---Was actually a pretty good player Thf/war
This was a really good party, (( Me the whm hardly ever got hit!)) But...
Someone opened a gate..
I had just turned 33 and had 700xp already... So Just like me I use my reraise scroll and cast it on me. 5 min later...A huge Swarm of only Citadel Bats comes up the stairs. Everyone who was pt'ing there died. Then Here I am...I am raised automaticly and I Cure III myself and walk out the front zone by quickly running between the bats..It was so funny...
But yea... I have had a good time here so far, and I have only died once ^.^
Get used to that. That's the main reason that lots of people absolutely despise that place. The exp is good. The mobs are easy even with a mediocre setup; you don't have to be all perfect with party arrangement. There are invariably going to be nasty, horrible, death causing trains.
There are lots of quests and junk required of higher levels deeper in the citadel. Often, they'll try to solo quests or try them with inadequate setups. When things go wrong, they head for the zone. Citadel bats or worse, funnel bats, come up regularly. You'll even get the occasional Fallen Mage (not sure if that's the right name) or ghost type. On a good night you may not have to zone once. On a bad night, the trains are almost constant.
A hi-lev zoned a ghost one night and then took of as soon as s/he was out of zone. Needless to say, every last one of us 32-35 peeps had to zone and camp out in that little hallway on the outside. The ghost was staying next to zone because people would get impatient and try to go in. They'd come back out seconds later with red hp, but they had drawn the ghost back to zone. There were about 20 of us camped out in that little area until a 50ish pally came to enter and after hearing the story offered to tank it for us. Pally went in first, and we all followed (i was WHM at the time) to gang up on the ghostie. It went off relatively easily because there were like 4 people healing the pally. The only bad part was the AoE curse the ghost used before dying @_@
had about the same thing happen two nights ago. only there were 3 wraiths, and two fallen mages someone had zoned up. We had like 15 level 31-36 players all waiting, taking a smoke break. one ididot yells out, i can tank it. dead in 15 seconds.lol. i tractored him up, out of there. 2 of the wraiths and the fallen mages retreated, the one wraith stayed, and stayed, and stayed. finally after 20 minutes, everyone decided to gang up on him. 15 peeps doing 0 damage. i finnaly got up and had to Firega him 5 times to kill it, lol. then, our pt i had waited almost an hour to get and another 45 minutes for the zone to clear broke up. i hate this place, as most do. instead of Garliage I say we rename it to GARBAGE Citadel.
maybe everyone thinks my level is to low for theis place. 31BLM/WHM. but honestly when i did party there, i had no trouble with resist, with +26 INT and a Bard for Learned etude, and the party went rather smoothly until another stupid zone arrgo by a high level.

Fallen Mages (Yeah, you spelt it right) aren't as much of a problem. One time, a Magic Jug was actually dragged to the zone. Killed everyone nearby that didn't run screaming to the zone. Several 50-ish parties went to it and slaughtered it as fast as possible, and then all was well. Fallen Evacuees are horrid, though. THey're the worst.
I noticed a Taru NPC right at the zone while waiting for a party tonight. It didn't have anything to say, and nobody else in the immediate area seemed to know what it was there for.

I know you think we are noobs or whatever but what the hell did we do to you for you to zone all those monsters that you know will kill us in 2 hits? just something for you high levels to think about.
The exit to the momument is on map 2 at i5. It is after the 3rd Banashing Gate. You need 4 people to open the gate. Everybody below ~ level 65 needs sneak almost all the time and invisibilty in some places.

So someone in my party the other night said, "Hey I know a GREAT camp. Me being the Eazy Going guy that I am said cool lets go. So we head out to what I believe is Gate #1. At anyrate before we could really get the party going the gate opened and no one was standing on pillars, I SWEAR, so I asked a friend and he said he has been told that at a certain time the Gates open by them selves. Now here comes the Question.
1) When do these gates open by themselves?
2) Has anyone ever witnessed this and did about 100 Citadel Bats come out mobbed like CRAZY?
See, the reason I'm asking is because this would be AN EXCELLENT CAMP, if the you didn't party there when the Bats come out. TRUST ME IT WAS A SLAUGHTER! Some ppl thought that it was a train but I noticed that there were only Citadel bats, and if someone trained that many bats there would be other types of bats and most likely Beatles too.
Well, any info would be great, thx Eazy <Leviathan> <RNG34/NIN17>

If someone agrod a citadel bat near gate #2, then drop down the hole there, he'd end up in the chamber area. The bat can't follow through a hole, so he takes the long way around down the stairs. Gate #1 is between those stairs and gate #2, so every bat on the way will link, and mobs probably walk THROUGH doors or open them.
In the chamber, there's a small puddle of water. Run through that, and you will lose agro very fast. Or simply warp away. In either case, a LOT of bats will come through gate #1, and if they happen to lose interest near someone that's not sneaked...

The gates never open by themselves, the people who opened them were prolly invis. IF the gates opened by themselves once a while this wouldnt be such and awful awful place to get a coffer.
Some ppl thought that it was a train but I noticed that there were only Citadel bats, and if someone trained that many bats there would be other types of bats and most likely Beatles too.
No. There are LOADS of Citadel Bats in the area just past the gate, but there aren't any beetles there and you have to go a bit further in before you get to the Funnel Bats. It was a train, it had to be for there to be that many bats.
And I agree that this place is a great camp, much better than getting trained on every 5 minutes by the zone. Just make sure your BLM knows to use Escape if you get into trouble.
I got mission in bastok from th dude in the Inn. I went 2 times t the stoopid spot G-8 H-8. There was a tower i cant go into... and it had a ??? behind it,, I went to it and it said Nothing special. They freakin guy who gave me quest didnt give me anytrhing. So im stuk. Used 2 insta warps to get my ass outta there. So on topic please about hte mission. Thnks
There are lots of ??? in Garliage. The one you want is in a room next to a rock. You need to target it to see it. Just to warn you there are lots of quests that involve Garliage Citadel, this is the easiest. Use sneak and invis(beetles aggro to sight). Good luck.
I like this place, much less confusing than yhoator and their is great xp to be had. I DONT like however, the noobs pulling bats to the zone and causing mass death, but it happens pretty rarely, plus I got 3 invites in less than 5 minutes to garlaige today without even putting my flag up :D
After getting level 32 at Yhoator, I decided I was going to skip Garlaige altogether. East Altepa I say! But, I couldn't find a willing party to go. So, I went to Garlaige. At first, I was like "why are people so whiny about this place?" After a 1/2 hour of exp trolling in the main hallway, I realized what the fuss was about: Too many bad pulls/link/aggro victims bring their hoard of crap straight up the hallway to the zone. Which, is bad since everybody below probably level 40 are between the zone and where the holes in the floor start. I spent more time raising people than actually working with my party. I don't mind raising, I like to help. But when you can see I'm in the middle of keeping my NIN or MNK alive with little room for error, please don't send me a tell, or spam /say!! I want out, plain and simple. I may sit around in East Altepa for hours waiting for a pt, but it's worth not dying continually from the bad mojo that is incessant within Garliage.

Jeeze i always hated it when i first got here. Theres always someone who has no clue what the heck hes doing. not only that but altepta is so much nicer. Someone pulling links. Messing everyone else up.
It dosen't get nice til you drop down the holes around lvel 47ish
Is it possible to lvl here past 52? My static party is 51 with about 4k tnl. We camped After the first banish gate in the big open beetle and funnel bat room. The /check on The beetles are VT/IT so they should be VT by next level. Do We keep going or go to the ever-crowded Crawlers' Nest, where we get to camp the Helm Beetle spawns like they are Notorious Monsters? How's the leveling in Baileys? Help me out! Please
We tried Quicksand Caves and found Anticans to be a pain because the other 2 parties didnt Escape, they just trained 3 Anticans past our camp and zoned. And those Anticans need more then a can of Raid to kick there butts.

Ya, you can level here from 52-55 on the weapons that drop the coffer keys.

After desucsing were we could go we decided to goto Garlaige Citadel to party.
So wer went of to jeuno started to look for a party got there to a samll overr crowed place with moer agro than you can shake a stick at.
Anywere part from the odd linkers (that refused to goto sleep when casting sleep on then) and mobs poping up we did well.
TYhe party got up to 2 lvls and only 1 death in party.
The only worst experance I got out of it all when one of our players had to go and we got a war/rng in the party.
It cost me a lot of mp to keep that war/rng hp up wiht the whm.
I've never seen some ones hp drop so fast.
there is no way I would invite a war/rng to party again.

BOMB exploded once doin over 1880+ dmg to my bettle and eclipza's Bat they didnt make it ; ; lol watch out ;p

i remembered one time beetle pop while we were fighting a bat , aggro us at 20% HP ( that bat's HP ) and we were in chain 5 ( guess whm and blm MP :P ) 2 tanks (PLD + WAR/MNK) ( i was THF ). in the middle of the fight whm 2h --> death , then both tanks follow him , then mnk. i remain with blm , i voked and asked him to heal
(THF/WAR)
bloody bolts all the way + 2h + breserk and finished the fight :P
man i love my THF :P
i came back to lvl war ( skilling up parry faster this way :P ) and (WAR/NIN) we had 2 blink tanks and we easily get chain 5, even at links we are cool and finishing them fast.
the main problem : Noobs , they link and zone like 15 bats and beetle from the area where you can lvl at 50
man i still remember when i had to restart my pc and i loged inside ( my biggest mistake ) , i loged to see myself between 2 warith ... i took the coldest shawer in mylife ( water III ) :P
my advice , if you link that many and you there are alot at zone ( in this case low lvl nice people who came for fun and wanna lvl ) go back and accept death , maybe a DRK or blm see you and tracter you and someone cast raise on you... better then scrowing everyone life and cousing death to everyone else

1. You will mischarm, and die.
2. You will mischarm at a critical time and will die.
3. Your pet will uncharm and you will die.
4. Your pet will uncharm, link two others, and they will gangrape you right through your pants. Then you will die.
http://ultredemshia.livejournal.com/

So why party here? DON'T.
Go to the Sea Serpent Grotto. Look at some of the options:
Ironshell (crab): 37-40
Big Jaw (fish): 37-39
Lake Sahagin: 36-39
Pond Sahagin: 36-39
Spring Sahagin: 36-39
Undead Bats: 36-39
"Although the stars would love to claim credit for your fate, Occam's Razor and plain common sense point to your becoming a colossal @#%^."
I trust Milich.
Sahagins are pretty tough. They use Hydroshot frequently, which causes whoever is hit by it to lose hate.

Take 'that' into account as well.

so i hate this place its horrid makes kazham look like a walk in the country..
i was unlucky you gott be careful where you camp as bats seem to like to spawn on your head while you are tanking..notice the PLURAL in bats yes i didnt stand a chance..but each fight was 200xp a time but that properly drains all mp and hp leaving you with 5hp and a temptation to disequip your +7hp trousers to see what happens
but over all it could be worse

Well, any info would be great, thx

In the chamber, there's a small puddle of water. Run through that, and you will lose agro very fast. Or simply warp away. In either case, a LOT of bats will come through gate #1, and if they happen to lose interest near someone that's not sneaked...

I phoned dial-a-prayer. They told me to go to hell.
I went 2 times t the stoopid spot G-8 H-8. There was a tower i cant go into... and it had a ??? behind it,, I went to it and it said Nothing special.
They freakin guy who gave me quest didnt give me anytrhing.

Used 2 insta warps to get my ass outta there.
So on topic please about hte mission.

Just to warn you there are lots of quests that involve Garliage Citadel, this is the easiest. Use sneak and invis(beetles aggro to sight).
Good luck.

Theres always someone who has no clue what the heck hes doing. not only that but altepta is so much nicer. Someone pulling links. Messing everyone else up.
It dosen't get nice til you drop down the holes around lvel 47ish
We tried Quicksand Caves and found Anticans to be a pain because the other 2 parties didnt Escape, they just trained 3 Anticans past our camp and zoned. And those Anticans need more then a can of Raid to kick there butts.
