Description

The Sanctuary of Zi'tah is considered a favorite zone by many of Vana'diel's adventurers due to its peaceful scenery and serene music. A coniferous forest with a variety of inhabitants, it is primarily traveled through to reach Ro'Maeve or The Boyahda Tree. Despite its beauty, the Sanctuary is not by any means a safe area for adventurers. Goblins patrol the area and the undead come out at night.

You buy the map in Mhuara from Ludwig, one of the first people you see after you enter the town. The map is for the Li'Telor Region.

There's a small pond not far from the outpost that has some logs criss-crossing it. I would swear I saw a castle at the bottom of it. Has anyone else seen this?????

Is it underwater or reflected from above? I can't wait to start exploring this region, there's so much story that goes on here.

Also I am curious what purpose Ro'Maeve has in the story, because there are all sorts of hard undead things around the entrance and there are numerous Evil Weapons inside Ro'Maeve that hit a lvl 28 whm for over 258... fun stuff there :P

to get to the Hall of the Gods. Can see a statue of ALtana and Promathia in chains (get the expansion now?) there. Complete (I believe) 14 or 15 zilart missions to be able to get to sky.

Great place to level 37-40. Camp behind outpost next to big tree and pull flies, gobs, and bats.
Don't forget to bring a supply quest if your nation is in control of area, so next time you can warp right to camp.
Zone to Boyahda Tree?
# Jun 25 2004 at 3:10 PM Rating: Excellent
Saddly, I have yet to come here, though I hear its a wonderful place. If the zone to Boyahda Tree is very obvious I'm sorry, but either way could you tell me where it is? Thanks.

Nevermind...I saw a post that it was said its in K-12. I must have over looked it, sorry.

I came here as my WHM when I was helping a friend with the SAM quest (and doing it myself, mind you) and instantly fell in love with it. I made a new character just to make her a PLD and get her to 65, where I will spend my days wandering this place.

Yes! Great music. Am listening to the music via winamp now (music190.bgw). Get the BGW plugin for winamp and listen to the music from the game at any time. This is one of the ones I listen to a lot.

if you have winamp and FFXI use these instructions to listen to the music from FFXI have fun :)

Love the music and want to be able to listen to it outside of the game? Hate it and want to change it? This thread will contain all the links necessary to accomplish either task.

First off, the music files you're looking for can be found under:

Program Files/PlayOnline/SquareEnix/Final Fantasy XI/sound/win/music/data
Program Files/PlayOnline/SquareEnix/Final Fantasy XI/sound2/win/music/data

You'll notice that they're all .BGW files. Well if you don't want to mess with converting them at all, there's a plug-in that allows WinAmp to play them as is. You can find that plug-in here:

http://atarukun.plala.jp/download/in_ffxi_030712.zip

Take the .dll and place it in your WinAmp plugins directory. Now you'll be able to listen to any of the .bgw files through WinAmp.

Now let's say you want to convert those files into mp3s instead. You'll need to download two different programs:

http://www.angelfire.com/ks3/kaede/ff11/XiMC004.lzh
Program to convert WAV to BGW and vice versa. (Designed specifically for FFXI) It's in Japanese, but it's easy to use.

http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm
Nice freeware audio converting program.

Just make sure that you do this on copied files (not the originals) just to be on the safe side.

If you're wanting to change the music in FFXI, just get any music file that you wish to use and save it as a .wav file and use XiMC to convert it to the proper .bgw file. Then copy this file and override the file in the proper directory. Make sure you keep backups of the original files just-in-case you want to revert the music back to normal.

If anyone else finds any useful programs or wants to add to the discussion for making an audio CD feel free.

What's the name of the Winamp Plug-in that plays the .bgw files? I searched high and low for it on there and still couldn't find it. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

The map is sold by a person in Mhaura. Head straigt into town, and he is on the left, just up some stairs. He sells the map for all outdoor areas of the region. He doesn't mention Zi'Tah itself. Costs 3000 gil.
