I run a Garrison linkshell on Garuda, and we were interested in this area, but I can't seem to pinpoint what the Garrison item is. Anyone have any information regarding this?
***Shameless Advertising*** Anyone on Garuda who enjoys doing Garrisons, send me a tell ;p

When two points of pressure meet, one of them must give way. When one of them isn't you, it narrows down the options a hell of a lot.
ok i will ask this again. Has anyone noticed in the brady guide it says there is some level 68 to 70 bunny or something here? If so, is that mob really here and why?

ok the Reason the people on Odin Surver, know as the LS people come to Bubu is because of the gobs, leaches, and air elementals. Remember goblin mask can be Dysynthed into Glass fiber, which goes for 25-29k per stack in Jeuno. I should know I'm on Odin surver too. Second At the moment Beastman bloods sell for 70-90k a stack in jeuno and the beachs have alot of leaches to go around. So it is very proftable to farm here and they are very smart players, and fast too.
----------------------------
I've found that when a Goblin is going to use Bomb toss. I remember Lethal Weapon 3, "Roger... Grab the Cat!!" (runs away!!!)
Actually, E-11 is very far from the zone to Bibiki Bay. Get to the big beach in H-9 G-9 area and follow the ocean west; go south and around the mountain at the bottom of G-9 (northern tip of G-10); then enter a cave at the northeast corner of F-10. RATE IT UP
ok anyone noticed in the book where it says there a non agro/non linking bunny thats lvl 68-70 in this zone and anyone ever seen it and have any idea why its here?
----------------------------
crazy great sword spining level 75 drk on asura yes i hit hard yes i am agressive yes i get myself killed from time to time yes i get the job done
No lizards for people from levels9-13. Only 2 zoning points. The dunes is close to two regiens. Bubu is close to only windy. Ad alot of low leveled people dont wanna make the trip by boat i guess. ^.^
I've started fishing Shall Shells here, and noticed that occasionally Air Elementals spawn. I figure since I'm here anyway I might as well hunt elementals whenever they show up. If anyone could tell me some locations (particularly close to the south) I would really appreciate it. The only one I've seen seems to spawn around H-7 and I-7 somewhere.
EDIT: Heh, I may end up answering my own question soon, but there's also one that spawns on the piece of land between Mighoya Dunes and the lighthouse.
I cant find a good place here that i'm not getting aggrod, i'm level 29, if there is no place i'll relevel my blm but if theres a good safe place please let me know.
Two places I know of where you can fish without aggro;
1. The cliffs in the top-left corner of F-10. Not sure if you can fish up monsters here or not.
2. The entrance to the Labyrinth of Onzozo at K-6. Bogys spawn on the beach at night but if you stay by the tunnel they wont come close enough to bother you. You also won't fish up monsters here.
On my Server; Odin. Almost everyone in this area is High Lvl or Anon. Normally that wouldn't seem weird but it seems to be where the LS ppl camp. If you don't know the LS people are gil sellers from China.
So any clue if there's something to make money off of here? Or why else they'd be here?
It woulld have to be the Logging Points, with a number of players you could camp almost every one. Logs drop include ebony, etc... 4 of the logs found here are 5k gil + logs.
Finally, everyone, I think I have found the entrance to the cave leading to the island with the stone monument on it.
Now, I'm not 100% sure this is it, I haven't had time to check it out since that damn maintenance is on right now on Siren server (Damn you 8 hour maintenance!!!!!)
Anyway, here's a link to the map with the *possible* cave entrance.
It's located in the northwest corner at F-6, it's all in japanese so i can't even tell if that's the right spot or not, but give it a try anyway.
I ran around there before looking for an entrance, but ended up getting turned around, didn't make it to that spot...there's a way around there though, I think you need to go behind the big mound of rock at G-6 and go into F-6 there.
Anyway, if anyone gets this and checks it out, please confirm it, I'm not gonna be able to get on when the maintenance is complete, but I'll probably be able to check this out.
Hope I'm right, good luck to anyone who tries this out.
Now, all I need to do is get to that Rolanberry monument. lol.
*Edit* Ok, for those of you who need the Rolanberry monument. (sorry if this is a little off the topic of Buburimu, but hey, people need this info.) It's obviously at K-11 behind the big crag-like "spine." now, most of you are saying "But, Dranoface, How do I manage myself to the other side of this "spine"?
Now, thanks to this site, and a little bit of digging through tons of posts, I've discovered how to get the monument here.
At the eastern most point on the spine, the ground is just high enough to climb over it, so just grab a lvl 1 job, because you may get aggro from weapons...be on your gaurd if you don't want to take the time to grab a lvl 1 job.
That monument is at the very back wall, right in the middle.
anyway, have fun with your "new-map fresh" crawler's nest map....it's pretty much useless..hahaha...to me anyway.
Ok, that's all for me, bye now!
*2nd Edit* ummm, the entrance to the cave to get the monument in bub, very well may be the bubu entrance to shakrami....so....check it out..lol.
*Edit #3* OK, this will be my final edit. Turns out, the bubu monument is located on the mainland at J-5, you just can't target it very easily, just keep tabbing around for it.
Don't post this kind of information until you've confirmed it yourself... and EDIT the damn info, don't just addendum an edit..

You should be fine taking on the leeches here, just be careful of linking.
If you get more then 2 on you, chances are, you're gonna have to zone.
At lvl 28 they were easy prey, and at lvl 30 i could solo them extremely easily in valkurm without getting hurt, they're the same lvl in bubu, so you should be fine.

Me and a friend were getting rubies (35 thf/35 blm) we fought sum things, even the NM. after, we decided to go exploring. i saw sum chocobo riders come and then dissapear. Then i started exlporing, and found a passageway to sum secret cave. then i went in and WAZZAH! Onzozo. o.O there was a gob reaper at entrance so i died >< P.S The entrance is at K-6/K-5
I know it is supposed to be at J5. But I can't find it there. Is it on that little sliver of land in the north? How do you get to that sliver. Heeeeeeelp. :)
----------------------------
Just remember...if the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off.
to get to the monumnt you don't need to get to that little sliver of land. all it takes is going to J-5 on the bigger part of land and it's right there. lol i didn't see it the first 4 times i went there but i saw this jap galka and he pointed to it. XD it was right there.. guess i was the dumb one. better if you go in the day time so you don't make a fool out of yourself like me. ^_^ oh and i'm in ODin so if it's diff for your server then umm well yea.. i can't help you there. but it's there positive. if you know who to get the one for sauromogue then reply ANYONE NOW PLEASE IN NEED THE GIL lol.

How do you get to the monument? Can you target it from land or do you have to make it over to that little sliver of land there? I really want to finally get this quest done, and this monument is pissing me off..lol. Please help me get this thing.
I was exploring this area tonight for the first time and found the entrance to the Labrynth of Onzozo, the entrance is in a cave at the north side of the Mighoya Dunes.

Logging Points?
Posted: Feb 23rd 2004 6:05pm | IP: Logged | Reply to this
yes. they are on the trees that have thin trunks and the wide canopies. they look like umbrellas. however, they logging points are few and far between and can spawn in the trees above both beaches. After logging for about an hour, and only finding about 3-4 sites i gave up on that and farmed silk spools. *thumbs up*

Ive killed them with a warrior under 18 with just a redmage or whitemage as help and some with just another warrior.. Fulll party.. Heh.. No xp that way. Rather get 72 or more then 28-40 if lucky.
Forgot the name... there is a NASTY little cave in K6 along the Dunes beach. Was in it for all of a good ten seconds, checked the player list, tried a Gob Reaper, and decided it was not a more amusing venue of Vana'diel. My dead party members agreed, and we promptly took our business elsewhere.
Where do the ghouls spawn on this map? Many of the parties here aren't specifically looking for them so maybe I can get some clean ghoul hunting for my last subjob quest item.
I usually camp near the outpost but I never see them in that area, though I do see zombies quite often.
Khoonta Dunes...to be more specific (not sure about Mighoya). Most people looking for the Bloody Robe hang out around Khoonta. I had an alliance there of 18 people. If you have a group of 16-18s, count on an alliance to bring the bogy down. One party will not cut it when they con IT.
If you're in a part of 5-6 16-18 and you're getting slaughtered by leechers, gamblers and the like, then you are in an AWFUL party. Always mke sure the party you joined is well-rounded or you will die and lose exp. If your party doesn't have at least 2 WHM or a WHM and one or two RDM, you will get owned, but in parties I've been in (usually 3 17's, me at 18, and a 19 and a 16), we can chain leechers and gamblers for 140-217 (217 is the highest we've had so far, could go higher). We gained a level almost every hour and a half from the time I was 16 until I was 18.
The gobs here are definitely nastier than in tahronghi. Theres three basic XP spots here:
* chaining things by luring into the Outpost. (Good for levels 13-17 with a balanced party and depending upon what you fight)
* chaining bull dhalmels and gobs by luring to the Mhuara gates (Levels 15-19)
* Chaining snippers and or pugils on the Khoonta Dunes. (Levels 16-20+). Snippers are really easy to take out and grossly overconned, and with a balanced party its not hard to chain up to five in a row or more, and the xp is good right up to about level 18. The pugils are a lot harder, and they will link if close together, but a full party of 17-19s can easily take them down and most yield 100-200 even for a lvl 19-20 and with a 6 member party.
The bonus of Khoonta Dunes is that with the exception of the bogys at night (actually not all that hard to avoid), there is nothing aggro, which makes it a lot easier to have a low-risk party and do intelligent chains. I found there is no benefit in trying to take poison leeches, they give crap XP compared to the difficulty to take them down. just make sure everybody knows the escape path to Mhuara if you do get aggroed by a bogy (the good news is since bogys cast spells they are a bit easier to run from than melee mobs).
Gobs usually kill members of the group because of Bomb Toss damage. If you are lossing 1 team member per Gob w/o a Bomb Toss, they're too high. Make sure your Monk has the TP for a Shoulder Tackle, by pulling lesser mobs in between Gobs.
I.e. After using the Monk TP skill, Shoulder Tackle, pull a couple crabs or rabbits before attempting another Gob. This gives the Monk enough TP to attempt another ST in time for the next Bomb Toss. Pulling back to back Goblins will only drain the healers of mana (I've seen bomb toss do 90 damage on the *second* toss, wiping 1-3 players) and return you to your bind point.
The leechers are so powerful because of their magic. Silence them, and they're just a goblin with a stick. I solo them when I see them (30RDM), and so long as they're silenced (especially when they're about to die, they cast Cure III then), it's not very difficult.
now thats not true at all. my group kills butchers in tahrongi with ease, but the ambushers and butchers in buburimu slaughter us. hunt sylvestres at about level 13 for great exp. just watch for gobbies.
