The map? i dunno, BUT i do know how to tell when Behemoth spawned... first go to /search then hit "Qufim" and scroll down to "Behemoth Deminion" if you see like 20 ANON people, he's been spawned (is spawned) so RUN TO SEE HIM

you know, I'm just a little irritated by the *** info. I realize that they are supposedly 1 sec or 1 tick ahead of us in the states, but what I really want to know, is how and where they get thier info and timers to know when and where NM's will spawn. I know it's just a game, but it is REALLY irritating when you get a good pty setup and go camp for a while waiting patiently for a spawn only to have it ruined by a pack of Jp players that walk in and grab your Mob right at spawn.... >< I guess the days of Honor went out with WWII.. lol Not Whining here, just want to get the same heads up that they have. Oh well, enuf of my rant...

There are only a couple things that people do in here. You could compare in to Dragon's Aery, although some people do xp there. Technically you can xp here (as you can with pretty much any zone), but I never have. The reason people go here is for AF or to camp/fight Behemoth or King Behemoth. If they aren't spawning any time soon, and nobody is working on AF, chances are nobody will be in there.

I've EXPd here, mid-30's as I recall, on the Greater and Lesser Gaylas in the tunnels near Qufim. It's a fun place to level *because* very few EXP PTs go there, much like Gustav Tunnel. It was certainly more fun than Camper's Nest.

I think it might be good EXP on the Demonic Weapons and Master Couerls (sp?) at 40ish.

There are a lot more places to go than the mainstream zones where everyone camps, and it becomes a lot easier to go to new and interesting places once you are operating out of Jeuno rather than the newbie cities.

It's not easy to persuade newbie PTs into going to anywhere other than Qufim/Kazham/Garliage, but if you have a PT of experienced players who have been through those zones a few times before, you might have more luck suggesting somewhere else.

God knows *I* got bored of the Jungles of Elshimo by about the third minute, let alone the third job...

Some alternatives to common places;

Valkurm Dunes: Maze of Shakhrami (to 15), Buburimu Peninsula, Jugner Forest (15 onwards, mind the Tigers)

Kazham Jungles: Sauromugue Champaign, Battalia Downs

Garliage Citadel: The Weapons in Sauromugue Champaign to 33, Western Altepa Desert for Spiders after.

Crawlers Nest: East & West Altepa, Behemoths Dominion, Gustav Tunnel

I'm sure there are others. Personally I like to go somewhere new to PT, and having some freedom of movement. The game is lot more fun if you aren't camped on top of 3 other PTs and having to fight the great Lag Beast as well as your actual target.

I know that there are plenty of places to party other than the popular areas. I was just saying that it's rare to see anyone party here like in certain other zones. Partying in unfamiliar and unpopular places can be pretty fun.
RE: Alternative EXP places
# Oct 05 2004 at 7:35 PM Rating: Excellent
Very true ^^ I find that i have the most fun when i level in a variety of areas. experimentation can also lead to finding better alternatives than the place that *everyone* is camping, like Gustave tunnel, for example. It's a way better place for level 39-42 than crawler's nest.
>> Also, i've found that Korroloka tunnel is a very good place to level from 15 to 20 ish. The mobs are more convenient, and you dont' have to camp in the middle of nowhere for a pt, because bastok is just on the other side of the zone. lol, well relatively.

# Oct 15 2004 at 3:13 AM Rating: Decent
I can only agree.. when i was a lvl n00b war my friend showed my korroloka. no ptys great exp it was hell fun. only bad thing its hard to convince peps to check it out. it's really a shame >_<
i actually wonder now that cop is out there be more new exp areas to try out! :D
Anyone allready tried?
RE: Alternative EXP places
# Nov 22 2004 at 6:59 PM Rating: Decent
Bibiki bay is very good, you just need the right party set up and experienced pty that is good with fighting goblins. i went as pld 59 the rest of the party was lvl 60-63 and we was getting 250-350 xp each gob and occassionally getting chain #5.

Bibiki bay gobs good from 59-67 i think, and the Dhalmels are 68-72 i believe.

#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 24 2004 at 6:24 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Look at the map... (G-10) looks like a connection to another zone I have tried running into the wall all over the map (lol). I just find it very interesting maybe they open that area up in an update and you can go to the behemoth sanctuary were many of them roam freely without fear of 36 **** getting there and torturing them with spells for over an hour.

can a bst tame a behemoth?
#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 05 2004 at 7:33 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) you can tame NM, iv seen it done several times before. but it seems your level must be onsiderably higher then the NM to tame and keep control of it.

Yes, you can tame NMs, but it's hard. I watched a BST 60 something tame one of the rams, but it took him 4 tries. Of course, at that point he was twice as powerful as it. So unless you are level 160 BST, don't try it :P

BSTs can charm notorious monsters, i see it all the time. In fact, last night, some jackass was running around Crawler's Nest with a Guardian Crawler charmed. Gotta wonder what he was thinking though, better to just kill most NMs

no idea where you got that info...
- BST can NOT charm Notorious monsters
- BST can NOT charm any rams

charm works like provoke when you use it on mobs that cant be charmed, and inflicts a minor 'stun'

if you dont believe me, activate bst and head to la theine and at lvl10 you can check wether a mob is tameable.

You can't tame ghosts

I've seen lots of BSTs use charm on the spook to claim it. You are wrong.

Behemoth's have a 1-3 hour spawn time. They are heavily camped and the JP know when King Behemoth will spawn. So if you see tons of High levelers running around the dominion, then you know either Behemoth or King Behemoth is about to pop. Don't get too close though.
RE: Spawn Time I think...
# Nov 06 2004 at 10:26 AM Rating: Decent
most HNM have a 24hours spawn timer with a 2-3hours window for it to spawn

i know Roc has 24hours and 3 hours, but heh... its useless to camp 3hours when you know that JP will come camp 20min before it spawn and they claim it -.-
forced spawn?
# Jan 19 2004 at 2:49 PM Rating: Default
There's some sort of targetable "Headstone" in (G-9). Perhaps some sort of sacrifice must be made (ie: trade X with headstone) to make the behemoths appear?

The undead and bats are pleasantly oblivious to the sneak spell if you want to do a little exploring.
RE: forced spawn?
# Aug 02 2004 at 6:27 PM Rating: Decent
those headstones are for zilart mission 5

Behemoth spawns about once a day, with a chance of King Behemoth popping instead of Behemoth. King Behemoth pops about once a week.

It looks kinda like there is another zone on the southern end of that island if you look at the map. Maybe the behemoths are down there and this area is just like a border gate or some such.

Grrr.. I got to where the behemoths are supposed to be (at lvl 25, yay Flee).... but I didn't see any Behemoths at all. I hung aruond for a few hours, but the only things roaming around there were a few Thunder Elementals. Good thing those dont aggro to non-magics.

Still... need to see the behemoth.... need to...
RE: Behemoth
# Aug 05 2004 at 7:36 PM Rating: Decent
its an NM, it doesnt run around for you to look at
they supposidly pop once a day. but what is certain is the high lvl JP kill it as soon as i pops. they know when it will spawn, and will be there waiting.
so in short, your only chance of seeing one, is to wander in while the JP are in battle with it.

There is a cave right next to Delkfutt tower that goes underground to Behemoths Dominion.
HOW to get there
# Dec 26 2003 at 11:39 AM Rating: Default
Right next to Delkfutt tower there is a cave that leads to Behemoth Dominion. But be careful it is filled with mobs of very hard monsters. Actually they are not that hard but tons of bats will aggro onto u so that could be a problem :-/
Where is this?
# Dec 25 2003 at 12:46 AM Rating: Default
From the look of this map, Behemoth's Dominion is connected to Qufim Island... but where? Thanks in advance.
