you would have to go though the Garlaige Citadel to get to that maw I went there just to find out that i cant enter it because i didnt unlock yet. But yeah though there and you have to go through 2 or 3 of those large gates that are in there in order to get there your going to need a party to unlock the dors good luck.
I have far, far too many times ran from Windurst to Jeuno without any sneak or invis, sometimes escorting new people and teaching them how to avoid aggro. There is no greater place to learn to avoid aggro like Sauromugue, it's a frightening place. Rolanberry fields is a better bet, honestly. I've also done Jugner and Battalia Downs, that can be a much more relaxing experience once you get to Battalia. These are all doable though, and most of the time you don't even have to die if you're careful.
That wasn't the question. We just want to know how to get to the stone monument for the kicks and the money!! So please can someone tell us how to get to the stone monument.
for the map you don't need this monument, or the one in battalia downs, these are just for kicks and about 10k gil...go to the page with the quest for more detailed info
no how about to get to there form windhurst take mahura ferry to sablina then back track to konostant highlands and take pashlow marshlands then to rollanberry feilds, that works also

I was running through this place (with sneak and invis mind you) and was amazed at all the IT monsters! Seems like this might be a good place to level instead of Kazham.

Out of the 3 areas that lead to Jeuno, I'd have to say Sauromugue has to be the most dangerous. Those skinks run fast and hit hard. You really have to ultize the ruins in order to sneak past them, unless of course you have Invisible/Sneak or something.
Yes you can get from jueno to windurst, but you have to take the most direct, shortest route possible, and know the areas well. That will cut down on map checking stops. Overall, to me, Windurst to jeuno seemed to be the longest trip of the three.

completed 1 morri robe tonight. That was nice. Kev got his 25 feet, that was nice. The dog may have pooped inside... thereby nullifying all gains.
I just got finished the chocobo quest and was wondering if I could go to Windurst from Jeuno without the chocobo running away. I haven't ridden yet so I have no idea how long you can stay on one. Thanks
u can get from windurst to jeuno no prob in fact u can ride from windurst to sandy if u keep to the shortest routes in fact its faster than taking the boat and running cuz a choco lasts for 30 min
Does any one have any certain <pos> or an area they have allot of good digging luck with their Chocobo. I have been looking for the Red Jar to get my Moghancement: Fire and still have not been able to locate it. A few people told me and reading the boards that this is the easiest area to find them does anyone have any advise to make the search easier, Thank You.
It's simple...what I did is I shouted around when I was in Windy to see if any high-level would escort me to juneo..sure enough 2 mins later i got one. Try that :)
The best time to try and make it through Sauromugue as a lvl 1 is if you can HP along the way. There is 1 right at the end of the Meriphataud Mountains at the outpost (assuming your area is not under Beastmen control) which gives you a shorter distance to run. Also, if it's your first time, Sauromugue is pretty confusing so try and stay on the paths if you can. I died 3 or 4 times first try but cut everyone a wide path and you should make it---it's kinda like the first time you ran from Tahrongi Canyon to Mhaura in the Windurst area. Scary, but doable.

All you really need is a few silent oils and a few prism powders if you don't want to change to a lvl 1 job. I made it, but died once cause i didn't know that actions such as item use and magic negate invis, so keep that in mind.
i thought about going the mhaur -> selbina route but then just decided to switch to a lvl 1 job thief...i made it from west sarataburta to jeuno without agroing or dieing....and if i got something agroing me i could activate perfect dodge and book it :)...but im in jeuno and cnat figure out the rent a room and where to get it and stuff
Is this the area where the big city beastmen attack from the intro movie was? If I were to guess anywhere, then this would be it because of all the ruined towers/buildings and such...
Yes this could be but the type of beastmen that were attacking were orcs... and we all know that they are only located inbetween Jeuno and San'doria. ... So I dont know ..but if you notic there are ruins outside of everyentrace to jeuno.. so My guess would be battalla. in the intro movie they went into an underground tunnel. this could be the crypt area that is in battala ... I would say that battala is the place that was show in the movie
Neither Sauromugue or Batalla are showen in the intro movie. The intro movie is of the Tavnazian areas which we are still unable to access until Promathia is released.
Since you are not going to fight anything anyway, why not just swap to a level 1 job and run? That way when you get to Jueno, you can rent a rent a room, swap back to your level 20 job and get your quest. This way if you die, you don't lose any exp!
The best idea is just to run. Personally, I like to go in a straight line to it, you just have to be extremely careful. You should stop and look around often and pick the way with the least mobs. Another thing, don't get lazy as you near Jueno! There is nothing worse than being killed a few feet from Jueno.
i made it through ok at level 15. the only problem is that skinks were all over the roads. often like..2 at a time but there relatively easy to sneak by.
The best way i found to do it was to switch to a lvl 1 job that i didnt use and then head for jeuno. Make sure to bind to all home points as you go cause it is almost a certainty that you will die at least once but will not loose any valuble exp cause you are lvl 1 ;)
Following the "left" (south/west) wall was *much* easier for me than folling the road. So if you are having trouble with the road, it might be worth your time to try the walls. I had to wait for a couple mobs to pass by, but I was never aggroed, and made it through by passing through Rolanberry and around into Jeuno. Also, don't try passing through here at night. My first try envolved death by skink... Being hit for 220 on a crit was not fun.
I have since scouted both paths on chocobo and i agree that the south wall route seems like it may be a better one. Generally, the area is a little bit narrower so there is less room to go around things (but theres also less directions for aggros to sneak up from), but it is significantly less dense in mobs with most of them solo, with the exception of a few times you will see a few gobbies or yags all hudled together. And there seem to be a *lot* less skinks. I have not actually tried the passage on foot yet however so there may be a factor i am not considering.
Also note that waste of time to go from here into rolanberry if you want to get to Jeuno. (The reason for the bridges is to bypass Jeuno when on chocobo so you can ride from one continent to the other without having to get off the chocobo and buy a new one at Jeuno). Once you get to where the entrance is to the rolan bridge its really only a very short distance north to the gate to Jeuno, and this area right by the Jeuno gate is probably the safest part of the champaign as it is much sparser with mobs than the middle areas.
I made it through here on foot on the way to Jeuno and I dont recommend it. Died twice and finally made it on the third try. The trick is stick mostly to the road, but get off of it when you need to to avoid aggros (mostly Yags, Gobs, and these nasty blue dinosaur thingys i forgot he name of). Also proceed slowly and sometimes you need to stand off to the side with no aggros nearby and wait for the path ahead of you to clear up before you proceed.
The nastiest concentration of mobs seemed to be in the middle where it turns from N-S to E-W, once you get past there the aggro mob density seemed to me to drop off. oh yeah if you are level 20 and you trigger and aggro, your basically dead.. 80/hit pain. The Yag Drummers are particularly obnoxious as they sung some sleep spell at me that kept causing me to stop running and get hit again.
Ok,..thats gay,.. i traveled 1/2 way there from Meri mountains... and got killed by something that hits for 150 a hit,.. i had JUST dinged 20 aswel,..doh
Its safer going through Rolanberry Fields to be honest
if you are coming from Windurst... how much of a choice do you have...??? just run... run like you have never ran before... its not that bad... bird here... gob there... Just close your eyes... if you cant see it... its not really there is it... is it...

If you run from selbina, instead of those 'raptors' you'll encounter tigers, and those you have NO chance of outrunning.(Unless you're very close to the onze) So either way is hard.
This is way late, but just to clarify. The path being suggested takes you through Rolenberry Fields which is typically the Bastoker's path to Jeuno. The tigers mentioned about are in Junger forrest which was not actually mentioned at all, and is a poor choice, however doable. I came from Sandoria, but opted to take the Pashlow -> Rollenberry route to Jeuno as it was much easier to sneak through. If there is anything to worry about while doing this it would be traveling at night, but since when was that a great idea in any zone.
Basically, I am just saying it is easier to pass through Rollenberry Fields than any of the other zones surrounding Jeuno. There is far less aggro and the music is nicer too.^^

A bad dragoon spends days in jeuno waiting for a party to get exp. where a good dragoon sits in jeuno deciding where to go and solo for exp.

We'll see how this works out.
Have you actually tried it?
