Vana'diel Bestiary: Golden Bat  

I love camping this NM because his spawn time is shorter then VE but only one problem. I'm about 0/15 on this bat. I've been trying to get the drop about a month now, a few times with a DRK and THF. So those you got the drops you're luckier then I am. Info on those who are going after him, he never spawned the first tunnel to the beach when I was looking around, just the zone point near Gustav Tunnel.

2/3 on this mobwith TH1 and my first claim was on accident!! no1 was camping it and i targetted it accidently for a perfect 1/1. How is that for luck.

well,i wanted some extra cash and i was with 0thf/rng because i just got done hunting VE. he was claimed after about 5 mins while i was there so i decide to camp the bat. On shiva,that cape drops every sigle time,i have not failed once in getting it.i easily took it down and got one cape. about 50 mins later,it pops again in the very same spot and i hit it again. It was easy,hardly ever camped and the cape sell for about 75k on my server.

I camped this on a number of days. I got drop at night if that any help

This Bat On Cerburus Drops it almost everytime
with or without TH and its about 70k-80k on Cerburus so its a pretty good NM im not sure of my record but i do know i have got the drop 6 times i would say about 6/10 is it but im not sure and Its spawn time is anywhere from 30min to 1hour

So, I was in a party heading to Gustav tunnel. Just about everyone had arrived at the cave entrance. I looked around at first, no golden bat. So, jokingly, I type in {Provoke} --> Golden Bat. Someone else says face it or something. I look around again. I target something a distance away. Golden bat?! Wtf? Im running to it hitting the voke macro, and someone comes fleeing to it and claims I before I can >< So I had the party yelling at me because they thought I really saw it in the first place ^^'. The person who claimed it didnt get the drop, though.

i waz farmin this NM the other day, went to both tunnels and everythin, i decided to rest since i waz killin otherthings whilst i waited like giant bats, then all of a sudden it poped next to me, and sum random guy picked it off b4 i got up.....i waz gutted, also he got the drop.......dam him =(

Last night I was in a pty that was finally gonna start exping in Gustav tunnel as my Thf 38/nin. All we were doing was waiting for our 6th member to join us.

We were killing time by fighting the mobs on the beach. Then fire ele came out and our smn asked if we could go check on the elemental. Well the fire ele status was gone, and the full pty was heading back to the tunnel.

That's is when I dc'd -.-. My cursed internet providor went down and I did not have any internet for a full 25 min ;_;

I wasn't surprised when my pty decided to replace me and I told the leader I understand. During our conversation thru tells was heading back to Gustave tunnel zone with my flag up hoping a pty might see I was there.

As i was standing at the zone debating of whether or not I should just return to Jeuno, I see a bat spawn right next to me. Since my camera angle made me unable to see the name, I put my target on it and see: "Golden Bat" O.o

Well all alone with no one around I claimed it. Easily killed it. NO drop T.T

..... so the guy next to me camping GB says when i first show up "good luck getting the claim". Hes WAR and confindent is his voke, Lvl37. As the bat spawns somtime later i voke (using SMN full AF wiht lvl 5 WAR subbed ) and the WAR by me is all surprised and yellin at me that i voked. Guys he thought just cuz i was a SMN would not sub WAR, like i cant own this thing as a 66 SMN solo lol. NO drop BTW.

Lvl 31 thief. Full Noct +1 gear subbing Rng. I camped this guy just to see how hard it was. Well with squid sushi as food item, I still had to perfect dodge to finish him off. Only needed one hit to finish once I used 2hr, but had I not used it, it would have been death for certain. So should be pretty easy for a lvl 30 DD to solo this guy.
