how often is his span time???

Camp this guy for about 20 min with my level 31 whm / 15 smn in the second cave. After I killed about 10 giant bats this guy spawned. I got excited and casted dia on him and he is mine....So i thought....lol.

I traded blow for blow with him for a while, the only buff that I had was protect II. I had a spiked club with me so I was hitting him pretty hard. When i got down to about 200 hp I started to cast cure II healed for 90 hp. Then the bat hits me not once, not twice, but three times in a row....Triple hit. That sucked. Anyways to make a long story short I used my 2 hour and finally killed him after he drained about 100 hp from me... I ended with under 100 mp and about 150 hp. I also got I think 32 xp from him.

In conclusion i think that he is under rated at 26-27. I think more like 28-29.

P.S. I also got the cape.....Was disappointed in I couldn't equip it on my WHM. Should have looked at it closer before i camped it. Still made 40 k on it though.lol

Today I was hunting the Golden Bat for over 12 hours with my 59whm/29blm and seen him 4 times. First time someone got him, the last 3 times I was alone. I chased everyone away when they couldn't pull fast enough for it. Sadly to say I did not get the night cape. What a big waste of time. Very easy to beat but wait forever to get nothing is just not worth it. First time i just got to the cave and wait 2 hours, then i waited for 4 hours on the 2nd pop, the 3rd pop was the quickest at 2 hours and 10 min. and the last one took 4 hours 45 min. For a NM that people claim to spawn between 2 to 2 1/2 must be a bunch of bull or they are the lucky few in the game that are able to get things without even trying. No more attempts for me unless i see it passing by to Gustav Tunnel.

bad luck with this thing, killed 21 giants and no pop ; ; over about 1 -1/2 hours>< but i got leaping boots earlier so im happy 1/3 on her.

Wut is the spawn time of this little bat

I've fought the bat 13 times and gotten the drop three times on Odin. The price seems to vary between 30,000 and 37,000 there.

i just love camping this NM ratio 3-4/6 sighted 10 times cuz some ppl kept stealing GB away from me ; ;

This NM is beautiful on my server because it is almost never camped. The first time I went after it, I stuck around the two Giant Bats near the Gustav zone, only had to kill 5 of them before this guy popped. Got the drop. :D Using it for my BRD now.

Btw as a WHM33 I still got 21 exp off this guy, so beware, all you 30 or less. As proof of how awesome this NM is, the third time I tried it, I choco'd up there and the Golden Bat was just lying around. I didn't have to kill a thing, just rode up and killed it. Funny thing was that I had about 30 MPs, so I had to use Benediction to take him down. Haven't gotten a cape since the first try though.

Note: I send the cape to myself through Mog House Delivery every new time I try at it, so I can carry the second cape and take it back to town to sell. :)

I was going through Valkurm Dunes so I decided to give the bat a go. I killed two place holders and then checked out the action in Gustav Tunnel.

After a minute or two I exited to find the Golden Bat flying there unclaimed. I never got nervous because the cape isn't too expensive but I killed the bat and got the drop. *Shrug* 40k, can't complain, you know? By the way I'm 47THF/23NIN.
