Never seen spawn below the cliff. Camped him for an entire week. His spawn area is larger than what is shown on the map. He can spawn anywhere on that upper ledge. Like I said never seen him spawn below. He is a lotting spawn 1-4 hours. So killing the place holders most likely helps. The 1 hour spawn is extremley rare I've only seen it happen once. Way over camped I'm 0/7 with TH1.... stupid overgrown turkey. Happy Hunting!

Hello!!! I recently just joined Allakhazam!! I just hit level 50 WHM yesterday and I really need some cash for a Light and Ice Staff. I am on Asura and Monster Signa is about 1.5-1.8 Million Gil. I should be able to kill this guy no problem right??? I plan to grab it with either Flash or Holy really quick casting times. If anyone else has a good item to make a lot of cash fast please tell me!! ^^

I would wonder how many MONTHS you spent camping Chyme with all those gil sellers there and not even a drop with TH2. I mean I thought it was bad enough being 0/42 on chyme and 0/8 on torrent but lol u suck.

Been camping him for 3 days now. Havent claimed him even once. Ever since the price hit 900k on Lakshmi, gil sellers have been camping it in partys 24/7 and I mean that litterally. there are about 8 gil sellers at each of its spawns points.
No matter how hard I try, they always beat me to it. They have gotten 4 signas so far. Damn gil sellers!

So yeah, i recently was farming Yagudo to get necklaces so i could finally level ninja. i was around Hoo Mjuu's spawning point and figured i'd stick around a little while and see if he spawned. i was killing yag's for about 4 or 5 mintues when he pop, and i claimed him. the fight was pretty easy. he used Benediction when i had taken away a quarter of his life, which wasn't a big deal. so, i finish him off. low and behold, theres the Monster Signa. what are the odds that i show up near his spawn time AND get the drop on my first kill? slim to none ^^ sold the Signa for 600k on shiva. gl to all you campers ^^
(_ _;;) I want the staff from this NM but im to lazy >,> so imma lvl cloth craft and make gil to buy it some day when i get brd!

well, just some advice to go along with the other reply. there's a sizable amount of money to be made if you synth the yagudo necklaces you get from killing places holders into stacks of copper ingots. yeah, you might have to buy lightning crystals, but its still a good deal of profit (2.5k for crystals and 9k for stack of ingots on shiva). gl ^^
<Um...> if your lazy, why not synth the beads n cloth based items that the place holders drop >.>

im 0/15 on him... got 11 zealot's mitts... no signa >_< i camp him as 31 thf/bst >_< life isnt fair, ya kno? TH is a bunch of bs... (it seems like it anyway) [a friend of mine has got 14 signas in all... its how he makes all his money, he camps it as thf/bst as well, the myth about "if you use charm to claim him you cant get the drop" is false {his thf is only 34}]

Spawn point: Hoo Mjuu the Torrent pops on a cliff at areas G-10 and H-10. To get to the cliffs go to a circlular room on H-7 of your map. There is a hole in the middle of the room which you can drop into. Follow the ramp up to the cliffs.
WARNING: Going through the path on the other side of the cliff will take you to a area with harder mobs.
Mobs: 3 types of yagudo spawn on the cliffs. They are the yagudo persecutor, piper, and medicant. They are all around lvl 10-12 lvl 15+ shouldn't have a problem with these. The yagudo piper is a bard type mob and casts buff songs. The yagudo persecutor is a samurai type mob and has no special attributes. A yagudo medicant is a summoner type mob and has a pet elemental (can be wind, water, earth, or fire. Just beware of aggro and links which can be deadly. Digger wasps also spawn on the cliffs and they are around lvl 10.
Placeholders: Every 10 minutes 3 yagudo spawn on the 3 divisions of the cliff. The type of yagudo is random. Also on a 10 minute timer are the digger wasps. Ever 10 minutes 2 digger wasps will spawn on the 3 divisions of the cliff. The digger wasp timer is set 5 minutes after the yagudo spawns.
HINT: Hoo Mjuu the Torrent can spawn for any yagudo placeholder.
The man himself: Hoo Mjuu the Torrent is lvl 16. He has a red beak like a yagudo medicant and carries a staff resembling a yagudo scribes or preists. He is a WHM so when he is near death he will use benediction.
WARNING: This is a NM! He is level 16 but because he's a notorious monster he is stronger then a regular mob level 16. I would recommend being level 22+ before taking him without a hassle and a 2hour involved.

What are the chances of a 45 THF with TH 2 of getting the drop? I think it would be very good. I'm gonna try it out and tell you guys how I do.

well, as a 45/thf i used to get the staff every 4 or 5 claims. However, recently i have noticed a HUGE change (last 15 claims, only deodorize, not even those darn zealots mitts) so i dunno, mabye its just me. TH2 USED to help me alot >.<

im a lvl 20 rdm/lvl 10 THF what are my chances of winning against him
dont bother subbing thf. u dont have any special abilities with 10thf. treasure hunter doesnt apply until 15thf. i would highly recommend blm sub... maybe war if your more melee based and for provoke. i'll sit n watch u try n solo it if i see you >.> but with one post n no profile, who's to say anything about your skills.

It would be close but in the end i think you would die >.< True RDM are the best at soloing besides BST but it;s a NM and in all my camping experience i've never seen a -20 claim it and survive.

I'm Ziem from phoenix server...I've only killed Hoo 5 times. 2 zealot's mitss and 3 scrolls of whatever they were i just dropped the scrolls. The monster signa sells for about 550,000 gil in Jeuno on my server. I finally got my whm to 41 so I need to lvl blm sub for a while...but eh...I'm gonna take a break from lvling jobs and hunt Hoo with my 34 mnk...I've taken up clothcraft and fount many harvest points. As for camping...I never kill the other Yagudo...I stand on that elevated cliff point and watch ppl tangle with persecuters and pipers while Hoo pops freely... /ja "Provoke" <t> !!!!!!! I will get you one day signa...only to sell you ;;

(my impression of this guy) well i have tried this natorius monster yet i just killed leaping lizzy though and got the drop the first claim i got. i'm looking up other natorius monsters because i want to try diffrent ones with good drops.... well maybe not, maybe ill just use the money from the boots and work on smithing...what do u think...lmao!! (sorry if peeps dont have a sence of humor about this. this story just struck me as funny)

I have spent an hour trying to figure out a way to get in the Ho the torrent NM, area. I have a map, but it seems like its a tricky way to get there. Can someone help me, please?
The true Location is a Hole at H-7. On map above is a small circle looking thing in H-7 square in south west corner. You get there following right hand wall past offering yagudo (windy Rank 1/3 quest) the folowing left hand wall. This area is elevated so if you get there dont fall off the many various cliffs.

i killed him a few days ago cause i was bored... finally went 1/47
I don't know if this is true but i have a big feeling SE increased the drop rate on this *******. I saw a 50 blm get this last nite and the drop and my friend said the spawn after someone else got it and the drop. The next morning that same friend claimed hoo and got signa(lucklily this friend is my camping partner...350k richer^^). Anyone notice any increase in drop rate either?

camping this was a huge waste of time. spent over 3 hrs with 2 other ppl camping this NM. about 30 min before the NM actually popped, like 7 other ppl didnt just walk in, they logged in after we were alone for about 2.5 hrs. then one of those 7 ppl got the claim. pisses me off, not worth the time unless you know when he is gonna pop like those other ppl who all logged in about 30 min before actual pop.

well i was campnig this for about 20 mins with people around, then within like 5 mins of him spawning they all left, so i just the kill without trouble, 1/1 on him/ useing signa for bard, gl to all that camp him
A friend of mine has been wanting Monster Signa for her BRD for a long time now. My night was coming to a close so yesterday I decided I'd head over to Giddeus and try my luck at camping this NM. After about 30 min. of camping it with four other rival campers, it popped right in front of me, LOL. I targeted and wouldn't you know it, Chi Blast beats all. I claimed Hoo Mjuu and took it down in one WS (I already had TP built up from killing surrounding Yagudos) but sadly enough I only got Zealot's mitts. I'll be back for you Hoo Mjuu the Torrent mark my words, muahaha.

Get it first kill i was alone camping it, took about 20 mins to spawn, but thats because people were killing place holders but they left after about 10 mins 1/1 ^^
