On Bismarck they generally go for around 500. He's not worth camping, but I kill him when I go by.
Boots are very nice defense for the level 6 req, but only if ya don't mind the evasion penalty

Friend was PLing a friend in Fort Ghelsba, and I was hanging round with them, so I decided to check NMs in the area. Ran over to this, killed it easily (Level 27 War), got the cudgel. Will be sellin' it as soon as I get to a town

I bumped into him lvling my sub war (lvl 13), didn't even know there was a NM there.
I use mighty strike at the start (like him) and it was an even match.
We were together at one hit of death, i missed, he hit, i died.
He little tough for a lvl 13.

Is this orc a hourly appearance, I waited at least an hour before finally leving for bigger game, I even checked behind the little shack to see if he was hiding.

I ran up to this guy while farming and i whoop him in a couple shots. He dropped coarse leggings and i thought they were alot but they r only like 600 gil in caitsith server. So this NM is kind of worthless just like Warcheif Vatgit.How much is wild cudgel worth? btw when he activated his 2 hour he kept missing me ^^

I'm a lowly lvl 18 monk (havent started subjob quest yet), and hundredscar seems easier to kill than warchief. Got the wild cudgel on my first try :)

Good Old Hundredscar...
He popped for me at the exact place on the map (Just behind an Orc 'tower') at around 20:00.
He pulled his 'Mighty Strikes' crap as well...and I owned him fine with my 18WAR/9RDM...without trying.
Actually I beat him in full-screen view since he is my second NM and I am getting screenshots of each one I kill for my 'collection'. :D

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that I recently solo beat the higher level Warchief Vitgat twice in a row, so I don't think it is a matter of my Warrior being to weak to fight Hundredscar Hajwaj. Players who have beaten both, who do you think is the harder of the two Hundredscar or the Warchief?

I just got destroyed by this this cheating piece of crap. Level 13 NM yeah right I'm a level 17 going on 18 Warrior with just about the best equipment at this level and I got demolished by this cheater. This is bull because I beat him twice before and this time the game ripped me by making the ******* hit me critical 6 times in a row and make me miss almost every time. He did have mighty strikes going at the end but he was hitting me big before he used his 2hr. It's not worth the 18 exp or the junk you get from him, not when you lose 400 exp over some bullsh*t low level NM. This game definitely doesn't cater to solo players, it alway finds a way for a easy prey to kill you or beat you up bad. Camping time is well over an hour, definitely not worth it.
you do realize that at LV17 this NM would be considered high EP (36EXP for the kill)

Umm...you do know he uses Mighty Strikes (WAR 2 Hr.) and that he can hit constant crits several times in a row...right?
I would not call it cheating anymore then say we cheat when we use our 2 hr abilities to save our bacon at times. ;)

What is the recommended level for killing this guy when soloing?

Well, I've killed this guy 8 times in the last 3 days. He's dropped coarse leggings everytime. Doesn't look like the Cudgel is worth camping, but if you're farming the areas or leveling here I suppose it never hurts to drop by & kill him. 
I saw this mob last night while in Ft. ghelbsa with Lvl 16 PLD/LVL 8 WAR. I might had fought it but i was in danger in leveling down. Instead of returnign to SD to change jobs to kill it, I talked a lvl 41 whm friend into killing the mob for me. It used the Mighty Strikes on him but it did little damage. All it dropped was coarse leggings :(
this was great i helped kill the dragon in this area i took the dragon on alone while the other 3 non mages took the eye, yes i just used "hundred Fists" right off the bat, well anyway i got cursed so my max hp was 113, (which lasted 2 hours maybe more but i had someone get me holy water, so i see this nm and decide to go for it i thought it would be a challenge with my curent staus plus i didn't have my 2 hr so attacked it anyway and it didn't even touch me and it used the warriors 2 hour "Mighty Strikes" oh it was great to easy got the leggings, no cudgel :( but hey not bad for just running by the area to see it.

Maybe I was just lucky, but I was trying to find more orcs to kill during farming and I ran into him, killed him, and got the Wild Cudgel off him. It's only worth like 3K on Caitsith server though, so this NM isn't worth it in my opinion :).

grr....1st a bat wing from the golden bat, then i get stupid coarse leggings, with a theif whith treasure hunter. btw, he uses mighty strikes for all ya lower lvls who want a challange.

he spawns every 20 mins. and drops Coarse Leggings and something that switches 20 hp to mp

He definately doesn't spawn every 20 minutes. I camped him all day and like most other NM's he seemed to spawn every 1-2 hours. Killed him 4 times trying to get the cudgel, but he dropped leggings every time.

Any idea on a spawn time for this guy??
He spawned at ~19:00 when I was there.

He also drops the "Coarse Leggings" which are Lvl: 6, 5def, -3 evasion
