well i just kick out off FFXI for the sever update and only on 3 hours of sleep i'm on the garuda sever does anyone know the crap spawn for this nm i think it should be like the old tiger nm because it only drops the vine which i'm pissed about after camping this nm for 18 hour >< and took a 3 hour nap when the severs are back up i'm hopping back on and geting this damn nm and be done with it untill i need to do monk for my other ppl

well i know that a whm of 56 can not take this man i was sooo **** when i was geting my *** kicked what what made me evem more mad the a rng didn't even help me out i think he was a from the states because a canadian would came to help me

TOD on caitsith was 7:15AM today I finished quest and wich anyone trying luck tomorrow :)

I haven't had the chance to read all these posts and I'm much too lazy to do so, so can someone please say if Morbo drops the vine everytime, such as Silk Caterpillar always drops his egg, due to being for a quest. Thanks in advance. ^^

I just claimed this guy today, after camping for 7 days (being outpulled sucks >< ), and I made a few observations which may help for anyone interested in camping him.

Please note: This is only based on having seen him 7 times, so it's by no means full-proof, but 7 out of 7 times seems like a pattern, at least a bit.

1. First, just to reiterate what seems to be common knowledge: Morbolger appears with no placeholder. I saw him pop when all the mobs were milling about in the room.

2. While Stropers appear able to pop anywhere within that room, Morbolger only ever spawned in the 'back half' of the room. As in, from the center to the wall opposite of the doorway into the room. I camped in the center of the room, in order to easily see all corners, and every time he spawned, it was between the center and the back wall.

3. It's known that Morbolger spawns between 21-24 hours (Earth hours, not Vana'diel hours) after his last time of death. However, something more specifically I noticed was, his spawns seem to be on 15 minute increments. So, if the last ToD was 10:00am exactly, the possible spawn times would be 7:00am, 7:15am, 7:30am, etc. Knowing this would make camping much less mind-numbing, as opposed to constantly rotating the camera, constantly watching the screen unblinkingly, under the impression that he could spawn at any possible second.

And that's it. I hope this info helps anyone who intends to camp this guy. Anything to make this chore a bit easier is a good thing, ja? 8^P

100% positive it is a 21-24 hour Real time Pop. There is still some confusion on his pop, I dont know why. 21-24 hours Earth time. Not game time.

Yesterday I hung around Ordelle's cave and found a high level japanese WAR was camping Marbolger. I "talked" with him, and asked that he tell me what time he killed Marbolger, so I could kill it the following day. At 11:59am, Eastern standard time, he informed me he had killed the Malboro NM.

I got up this morning at 9am and while I was AFK, Marbolger popped and aggro'd me. I got back to computer after he had hit me a few times, 2hr'd, and he was dead at 9:51am. I was a 51MNK/WAR and finished the fight with 1 chakra and 400hp left. He should spawn tomorrow (1/22) anywhere between 9:51am eastern time and 6:51 eastern time. Good luck to anyone who gets him because of this!

Just caught this guy in the wee hours of the morning, realized I was a "Morbolbane" now instead of my cool "Timekeeper" title ; ; oh well.

on the spawn time are you talking 21-24 hours real time or game time no one has spesifyed
