Vana'diel Bestiary: Morbolger  

Geez this is a really difficult NM to find. Anyone have the ToD for this in Midgard? Send me a tell /tell raidenn and I will definitely reward you. The other 2 items in this quest are just hanging around my Mog taking up space.

Hi i just had to post this and more than likely make alot of MNKs mad, but I just have to share. To start off I am not a MNK (like lvl 21) nor do I intend to level MNK. Just wanted to share my quite humorous story.

I am in Ordelle's caves as a 59 BST/THF with absolutley no clue on this NM's TOD or any of intention of ever finding it. I notice one Japanese player in the area in the pop room naked, I assume he is AFK for a TOD. I am doing my usual thing of goofing off not really doing anything but wasting time.

I think to myself hmm this NM drops an item for a Brown Belt and from what I remembered it was worth 5 Million(Yea been a while since i last looked). Ok for shoots n giggles ill clear everything out of this room, the bats the goblins and the Stroper. Then I go elsewhere come back rinse and repeat for like 3-5 hours I think.

Me always being strapped for cash (cause I goof off too much) think to myself hmm maybe I should load up my friends account and see how much this belt sells for before I waste any more time on it. Few minutes later I check and hmm last one sold for 1.8 Million. Oh wow big difference from last I check (yea like more than a year ago). ***** it not worth it so I leave.

Log out go do some RL stuff etc. come back goto Konschtat(whatever) highlands killing Tremor rams etc. Rampaging Ram pops, now I have already done Purple belt quest long time ago, I claim/kill it and some guy whispers me that he needed it. So I was verbally rude to him.(yea I am not a nice person btw, story starting to drag but it is helping to build up suspense). I love being mean hmm I will message that camper in Ordelles ( I notice his /sea comment changed, still in japanese) Hmm my gut says I bet that big NM gonna pop.

I message him and lo and behold he answered back. Hmmm I thought...so I was trying to use the auto translator to see if it pop yet or he killed it or had a TOD. Needless to say we couldn't understand each other. Well my inventory is like 58/60 so I jet back to Bastok to unload skins, etc (took a bird to Dunes and OP warp{keep in mind the time frame}).

Normally I will check delivery box, npc/ah items before setting off to a new place.(still keeping in mind time frame from when I talked to the camper)
Not this time,(due to my gut feeling) I unload it all in safe and OP to Ronfaure region,(yea im lucky) run down into the caves.{Bare with me, this is where it gets good} OMW my way up I charm a Stroper chyme, the first one on the way, "Fight" him on a slash pine and still running to Stroper room I "Heel" pet so I can kill them in the nm room.

As I run into the big room I see that familiar face camper that I had seen so many hours ago( pretty sure this guy was in there for like 20ish hours). Wait a minute he is not naked anymore and has his gear on Sword and Shield and everything. I keep running to the back of the room with a pet Stroper and 4 Slash pines on my tail. Out of the corner of my eye it appears there is TWO Stropers in the opposite corner. Thats very odd I dont remember ever seeing 2 in this room(from earlier).

THEN it dawns on me ...(yea I am slow) ITS the Morbolger !!!!!!! OMG and so by this time (and this is the moment you have all been waiting for) the japanese camper who has been here this whole time with the TOD ~ his sword drawn running for it. Now I dont know if he seen me run in or not but he didnt try to claim with magic or anything he was just running to it. I get my senses
about me leave my pet Stroper (also depoping 3 of the 4 slash pines) run a few steps towards NM , I swear it was like in slow motion, "Charm" Morbolger.

Yep thats right I claimed it. Hit my call jug macro and 2 hour my Funguar pet and begin to thrash this big ol nasty thing, the whole time the camper and I want to say he looked a PLD(/anon of course) just sheathed his sword and stared like he didn't know what was going on. Wow what luck eh ? and the kicker is when I had the NM almost dead I was trying to /tell the guy that I was sorry and accidently invited him to party. So he joins unsheaths his sword once again, Oh yea and then I kick him from party leave pet and give it the ol Bst Rampage. I told you was mean and now I think every japanese and monk on the server hates me ! Muaahahaha .....................

Yep went 1/2 on Nue this morning then 1/2 on the Dodo and my Brown Belt is for sale on the AH as we speak.... luck ?

/sigh :: 2 weeks of camping, yes 14 spawns not claimed ... It either spawns when I let my attention slack for all of 5 minutes in the 3 hour window, Spawns ontop of someone on the other side of the room, or my Flash is interupted since I didnt stop long enough before using it ... thereby giving it to someone else.

I swear this thing will be the reason I quit again.

Put in work like everyone else, lazy punks.

Just killed him last night on Diabolos @ approx. 10pm Central YAY Evilmidget, Faibion, Ghostcar for remembering my needing it^^ WOOOT!

on Ragnarok Server.

I just got this vine i was 1/1 of Dodo, 1/2 on Nue and 1/2 on vine, and the only reason i was 1/2 of vine is b/c i had to take a ****, and his *** popped XD. If i can give n/e advice to n/e one tryin this, you should camp Morbolger 1st, and then move on the others. And i dont want to sound mean, but ppl shouldnt post ToD, b/c for ppl like me that work hard and spend are time to get the ToD makes it seem like a waste. (FYI if i can log-on and wait for ToD n/e one can.)

Has anyone killed this thing on Garuda server recently? This vine is the only thing keeping me from my brown belt. :)

Man, this NM is a pain in the *** to catch. i havent even seen him spawn, for some reason no one wants to give up a ToD. It's not like im gonna camp it over and over. To all you you people on Pheonix reading this, help me out man.

always be on your toes for this guy! ive already lost him three times this easter weekend (tonight i only lost him cause some other guy was ninja and his shoes were active at the time -.-) he pops slightly earlier then the other place holders (to throw you off maybe?) he's beeing a pain but i am determind to get him done so i can finnaly have my brown belt for monk

If anyone on Pheonix has a ToD send me a /tell im on everyday the best time to catch me is around 9:30pm PST
