No'Mho Crimsonarmor Picture

A famous Quadav commander. His nickname originates from a particularly intense battle during the Great War in which his armor was completely stained red from enemy blood.

Some/all of the information in this article has been culled from various FFXI guides, and translated by Elmer the Pointy.

No show No'Mho
# Jun 24 2004 at 10:16 AM Rating: Decent
The ******* was a no show for me, and I gotta go now. Waited 5 hours with only one interruption of death, before I hurried quickly back to the mines. Why it didn't spawn, who knows, but it's quiet frustrating. Maybe I'll get it some other time. A few more hours of camping will get me his head and hopefully a mace.

ok i was there last night pulling the fence train trick and he seemed to spawn ever 2 1/2 hours, the rdm/nin who was camping him got him both times as i was just farming the train at that time and was concederate not to take her, NM camps., so tonight i will camp both NMs and pull trains and get back to u on this..... I camped him for 8 hours, yes 8 straight hours, in that room. He didn't spawn one time. I got fed up and left. I killed any Old quadav that spawned, but that still didn't help him spawn. The only other people that ran in there were miners and a group that killed the ??? spawned nm for warrior AF2. I think he may be a 24 hour spawn.

This NM does not have a placeholder. I have been camping him for several days and there is 1 Old Quadav that always spawns in the room every 10 minutes. When No'Mho Crimsonarmor finally did spawn, he appeared only 6 minutes after the last Old Quadav kill. Then the Old Quadav, who is assumed to be the placeholder, spawned normally. This is a clear indication there is no PH for this spawn. So now the question is, what are the spawn conditions for No'Mho Crimsonarmor's appearance? When I killed him, it was about 2.5 hours after the servers came up on 2/25, though this may or may not be relevant. I find it difficult to believe that such a mundane NM would be a timed spawn, such as a 24 hour, but it is possible. Does anyone have any good ideas or observations?

I CAN CONFIRM THIS.

there is an old that spawns in the egg room, and one in the hall. never any more than those two. when i saw No'Mho, he was there along with the 2 old quadavs. he is just on a timer.

i have seen him twice while mining, but i cant make any conclusions from it cuz i never witnessed the pop or camped him. only fought once, mace on first try.

Ok then. After some research I have been able to determine that he is a timed spawn. I have been in this area with no other players and done nothing and he appeared. Also, I left up the Old Quadav as a test and he still spawned. This seems to indicate a timed spawn, though it will be difficult to determine the approximate time because of the random factor. I will continue to observe and report additional information.

Attention all Players.... please answer Nutaris's post with a scientific answer to the No'Mho Chrimsonarmor spawn time!!! While all of you are off lvl'ing your characters and doing missions, he will just sit here staring at the screen until he has obtained the pixie axe, and better yet, the answer to the long awaited question of when he pops, and why! He Needs to lvl every once in a while!! The worst part is, he only wants the mace for someone else...he doesnt even care about it^^... so "Nut" come back to us, and lvl so we can do missions togeather :p /salute to my fearless taru leader! :)

Well, two people saw him in the 1900 hour in the egg room. I'm in the egg room now and it's about that time...hopefully he shows.

Lol, Orius. I think I figured it out. The spawn time seems to be 24 hours with a +/- variance of 10%-15% or about 2-3 hours. If anyone finds out this is not correct feel free to let me know!

I think the place holder just has to be dead when his time to spawn has come.

It's smart to kill surrounding Quadavs, they are the place holders, until they are dead, there is no room for him to spawn. It is pretty much like this with any NM, even if it is on time and not lot, you have to kill placeholder's
.

i went there for the chest key and killed around 50 copper, brass + old. then when i run inside that room i found it, killed it and it dropped the mace, thought it was worth like 2k or something. but anyways, i had a thief in my party so i think that helped.
dont waste time on camping, its not worth it, you can get 30k from mining much faster than finding that NM and with some luck it will drop it. If you going to camp, go for the good stuff like the rabbit that drops a rabbit charm for 300k ^_^
Killed and got drop

I ran into this NM today while mining. Killed it very easily and it dropped a Pixie Mace that I sold for 15k at Jeuno, on Leviathan. I was a 56blm/28whm at the time.

Ha,

When I started mining about three weeks ago I was running around waiting for mining spots to pop, plus I had spotted the chest and I wanted a key. So I go to the room where the eggs are, where he spawns, because there is a mining point there, and I started mining the point. When I was done I turned around and saw him. I wasted no time and kicked his booty. I got a Pixie Mace and sold it for 25k. Good mining Run.

To me getting this guy to spawn is a huge waste of time!!! Find another monster and fight it. Over 12 real hrs spent and never once have I ever seen him!!!

Has anyone actually SEEN No'mho crimsonarmor, I mean REALLY seen this guy, not second hand, friend of a friend of a friend ran into him once at G-10. I mean, I've seen what's his name Nestfinger more than No'mho. I'm starting to think this guy doesn't exist, or is at another spawning site, cuz I've NEVER seen him at g-10.

I'll do some searching around the area this weekend to try and see if he's spawns elsewhere, but I'm really starting to think this guy doesn't exist.

I've seen Crimsonarmor once, back when I was hunting the keys for Kazham. I was 24 thief with another thief friend around the same level, a 26 or 27 white mage, and a 33 paladin. We pretty much owned him, but only got the circlet. I had no idea what he dropped at the time, so it was no big deal to me. Now I farm the upper levels of the mines quite a bit and have never seen him since. Rare spawn, rare drop, and if the mace only goes for 30k, you're wasting more by camping him. Time is money, after all.

Yes, he really does exist there. It's just his spawn time it appears may be a really long one.

I was helping some people in the mines get keys and I ran into the room to kill the Old and this guy was there. I took him out pretty easily, but he only dropped a Bronze Circlet. :(

I am the type that rarely gives up. and i went to the mines to see if i could fight this guy. and i waited, in that little room, killing old quadav after old quadav, FOR 10 LONG REAL LIFE HOURS!!

what i desparately need to know, is has anyone actually seen this guy in the room marked above??? cause i think in 10 real life hours, that if this was the place he spawned, that he would have.

either way, a giant waste of my time. no experiance, no good items. didnt even see him.
RE: Does this guys exist?
# Apr 25 2004 at 6:36 PM Rating: Decent
I waited 11 real life hours for him, and no spawn! This mob sucks. I really need that Mace too :\
I guess I'll just have to farm the 30k that the mace costs on the Asura server -.-;;;

Well one good thing came out of it though: I was with 4 friends and we were each able to get the Palborough Chest Key for Kazham :] And surprisingly enough - even though each Old, Brass, and Copper kill was about 5 - 25 exp points, I still managed to get one level up, so it wasn't a total waste of time. Imagine how many Quadav kills that took, though! LOL

The egg is for a quest, when acceept the quest, some other NM will apear. I saw a full pt of lvl 60+ JP players actived the egg, fought for around 10min.

the repawn time is totally random! No place holder, no tricks. Just wait for respawn
