Last night my ls decided to try and take on this EF, and low and behold, we got summoners 3/5 banners. We tried various techniques to beat them, and on one of them the strangest thing happened. I (Smn/whm) was kiting around his spawned avatar (Fire Spirit at the time), and had him way out of range of the rest of everyone else, so that the summoner couldnt send a bloodpact to him. All of a sudden, the summon summons up ANOTHER avatar and insta-casted its 2 hour, while keeping out the first elemental spirit. Anyone know why that happened? And if other summoner NMs can do the same thing? Was just shocked that the NM had two summons out at once.
I would strongly reccomend unloading as many weaponskills as quickly as possible on the summoner. All the other ones are easy compared to it. If the summoner uses its 2 hour you can count on a good number of dead players.
No doubt, that yagudo summoner is big trouble. We've tried 2 EF missions with a full 3-party alliance each time. Every time we get yags, summoner owns us. At best, four players die. At worst, half the party. I've seen japanese players come in and do them with only one party. NO idea how that works out, but I've watched them and they totally ignore the summoner and take all the others first. Honestly, I don't know what is the best way to do the yagudo banners without getting killed. I'd love it if anyone has a tried and true method to keep those cursed elementals from bashing us to heck and back ^^. We're on Lakshmi server, btw.
Um, These are not NM's. These are just the monsters that come from the EF banners like you said. You can gauge them and they do not have any rare drops. Windurst Special Forces LS took 17 people on the EF we got rid of 4 banners until we fought the goblins at the upper banner and got owned by a rng, drk, bst, whm
Out of the 4 flags available for the Kolshushu EF in Buburimu, these guys seem to appear on the southern 2, and the gobs on the northern 2. If you are gonna fight these guys, highly suggest taking out the summoner first. He has the powers of a normal summoner....and lets just say half our PT got killed by Ramuh's special attack. =) Then I'd take the White Mage, followed by the rest of the ugly freaks.
