Solo'd as 74 pld/rdm, thank you stoneskin & phalanx. Best method to doing that is to use a staff for as long as you can(which for me was 85% of his hp), just keep using spirit taker as much as possible. As has been said before about this NM he really is no joke... He has good acc & really high defenses and hits nice & hard. During the time I was using my staff he hit anywhere from 33 ~ 100 w/ phalanx up and did crits of about 75 ~ 175 (at most). Best art about him is that he doesn't interrupt spellcasting too much (interruped less than 40%of the time with no Interrupt- gear on), so I was able to recast SS most of the time while he got a couple swings on me. Kept Dia II up at all times, used Sentinel in between SS when available, and was glad I 2hr'd when he did.

Towards the end he started spamming Cure III alot which did nothing but kinda make me /sigh. At about 15% hp I whipped out sword & shield to get this over with as I was also low on HP & MP. He hit for about 15-33 on blocked attacks and did about 50 (57 was his max crit) on regular hits.

All in all abit of fun, was nice to start my day with ;P
Felt kinda like a maat fight all over again, tok me like... 40 mins to kill this >.>

the bugger hits hard. regular ~85, blocked ~30. crits ~175, blocked crits ~70
all with Defender and Protect III on.

Ore Toss is what really gets you

Vorpal Blade hit between 100 (With Protect III up on him) and 250 (Berserk up on me, Hauby on)

Flash is your Friend, as is Dispel.

Solo'd it at DRK75/NIN37. The quadav was actualy pretty difficult so drag some people out there with you to help.

just letting you know, a nin lvl65 can solo this with little trouble, just did it for a friend of mine and he hit me maybe three times.

Solo'd as a 75 PLD/WAR! I could've went PLD/NIN but I wanted a little bit of a challenge and I got one! I used Chivalry once to get full mp back but I was never really in danger of losing. I just kept my HP up over 85% to keep my Parade Gorget latent in effect as long as possible. Towards the end I ran out of MP but the victory was no longer in doubt at that point.

i solod this on my lvl 67 smn, first time i kinda kited him into a massive group by mistake + zoned into the BCNM area with like 100hp left and bio and poison on me, second time i took the fight slower and killed it np, the first time i faught him, he used invincible at about 60% or so, second time at about 30%. he was hitting me for 150ish, and didnt miss too often(with capped eva for my level)

I just fought this fool with my drk/nin 74. I used my nin as sub cause i thought i may need it and with utsu ni i thought i would totally whoop its azz. man, was i wrong. I even had my npc with me to heal. This fool did protect 3--it was the only buff he used. It was hitting me for 100+ dmg every time. To my surprise I was only hitting him for about 50 dmg each hit. I got kick azz melee gear. I drained him every time drain was up; even used my 2hr. My npc seemed like an idiot and wasn't curing me when I was in the red. My npc cure 3'd me twice before I got my azz handed to me. My weapon skills only did 200-300 dmg.

I got it to about half hp before i freakin died. I am so pissed. Idk about other melee jobs, but this thing totally owned my azz even at lvl 74 and casting utsu ni and ichi. Looks like I'm gonna need some help or at least a 70+ pld. I thought the 2 war af1 nms would be harder than this guy and I stomped the 2 nms. F**k this Nestfender mofo. I'm gonna try and again tonight.

I ran head-first into this with my 75MNK/WAR.. Despite having healthy merits and decent gear this was still very close. He has very high accuracy and Invincible negated 1/2 of my Hundred Fists. His DEF isn't too bad but he has a ton of HP. He got me from 1906 to 150 by the end, including a 280 chakra.

If you have a high-level NPC or friend, bring 'em along. I was tempted to pop Radille out but I wanted to save her for the leeches.

this thing is so not lvl 53 he may give the exp of a lvl 53 but this thing is a beast. 65mnk/war32 he was hitting me for a good 100 which i didnt think to much about then he started doing nothing but criticals of 250 i zone to shrine and call in the calvary. its sad to say i was out damage by courier carrie my good ole friend Sickofwork a 75 beast master helped me kill it. His courrier carrie did about 150 each hit. i was doing a good 75. so dont try this guy without the proper help.

My Main Job was RDM70 and I took up warrior until I could bring myself to fight Maat again.
I hit 50 and after soloing my AF1 I was ready for AF2. I shouted for help in Jeuno with no luck. All I got was ppl asking for money. I never charged or even took money offered for help therefore I refused to pay. I got pissed and dusted off my RDM gear and made my way to the mines. Killed everything in my way until I had 300 tp then buffed. I cast sneak on myself right before popping the quadav and crossed my fingers.

This was bar far not as hard as I thought it would be. Fight was simple.I debuffed the crap out of him and made sure to keep him paralyzed. Hit em with Spirits within @300tp and full HP for max Damage.Used rememdies whenever he got a flash off and kept dispeling his buffs as soon as he put them up. Made sure stoneskin and phalanx were always up. Didnt bother with Blink to much and just kept myself refresh. I drained him for hp and mp when I needed it. Found he was rather weak to dark magic and drain was taking about 140 to 170 hp from him. He hit me the hardest (critical hit) for a measely 109 damage. his regular hits were between 50 and 17!!!! (Gotta love Phalanx :p)
when He used invincible I made sure he was paralyzed and converted and healed with a cure IV. Then proceeded to nuke his @@$ like mad til it wore off. One last Aero III and he was done for and I got my egg. Ended the fight with 533/1033HP and 311/702MP (I didnt bother healing myself after convert as I knew he was done for) This is pretty much the same Difficulty as soloing the 2 NM's for the AF1 axe was but just one mob. For those about to do this make sure your tank has a hell of a lot of DEF or EVA. He hit me for a few hard shots, mostly critical hits, but he also missed a lot. Key to fight was keep him enfeebled and keeping myself buffed. Good Luck to anyone about to do this and as far as the lousy ppl who only want to help for money on Hades server I DONT NEED YOU! Now to Kill some leeches :D

Tried it once with this setup:
71rng/nin (prodigy rng, beat maat record at 66)
50war/nin (me, just kinda sitting there)

Don't think that you and a high lvl melee can take this thing, definetly need a mage of some sort, preferably rdm for dispel. Getting raises right now and then trying again with a 58blm/whm and a 60whm/blm. Probably will win with ease this time. Warning once again, bring more than you think youll need, cuz youll need it.

for all the melee's trying to take him down solo, his defense is immense. When I did it:

75 whm/nin
60 blm/whm
51 rdm/whm
51 war/nin <-- me

I spawn it and we start fighting. the whm is trying to hold hate with flash and cures, but i keep grabbing hate. He said "dont voke!". I go "i havent". anyway, we're hitting for like 20-30 a hit. then the rdm has a great idea and casts dispel. he hadnt cast anything, but it said "Protect affect wears off" we started hitting for 50-60. of course this was at his 25% hp, so it went fast after that.

Duo'ed it twice :

1st) with a 70 Smn
and
2nd) with a 74 Thf/Nin

Why twice? Cause I had my inventory full the fist time and I lost the egg. I am that kind of morron/idiot/noob.

he kicked my ass. i was 50WAR and it hit me for 150 ; ;! definitely not 53

I was helping my lsmate get her kazham keys when we wandered into the nest. Found the lesser NM and I killed it with ease, being a WAR32. I came back maybe 20 minutes later to ANOTHER NM, Ni'Ghu.

can remember all the subjobs >.< but wasnt too hard. we owned it twice in a row with no difficulty ^^.

as expected with this pt, Ni'Ghu was no match
also, there is a short time for it to be able to spawn again, around 3 minutes or so

Just fought this sucker, was alot harder than we were expecting. He's immune to Silence by the way, or at least, he resisted two Elemental Seal+Silences, so...

We had all lv 52:

WAR/THF
THF/NIN
RDM/BLM
WHM/SMN
BLM/RDM

And it was a very challenging fun fight. Didn't have any deaths, but very close.

just got a jap tarutaru 75 warrior / 37 ninja to come with me and kill it, was like a 10 min fight.

The mob's name is Ni'Ghu Nestfender. Not Nickel'Ghu.

Also, at level 63 he gave me 8 experience in a party of 5. I was surprised at how hard he was able to hit me. A few regular shots landed for 90 damage, that after I had eaten a fish mithkabob.

i had helped a LS buddy do this we had 51WAR/52NIN/51RDM(me)/55BLM/53NIN/52BRD
kicked his ass in 3 mins...of ccourse we all had 300 tp and did wicked skill chains and MB to jack him and this chump didnt use his 2hr which was dumb of him not to use.
