for all the melee's trying to take him down solo, his defense is immense. When I did it:

I spawn it and we start fighting. the whm is trying to hold hate with flash and cures, but i keep grabbing hate. He said "dont voke!". I go "i havent". anyway, we're hitting for like 20-30 a hit. then the rdm has a great idea and casts dispel. he hadnt cast anything, but it said "Protect affect wears off" we started hitting for 50-60. of course this was at his 25% hp, so it went fast after that.

i soloed this guy at 75 ranger.. i almost died, he took me to 1/4 hp, i got him to 50% hp. so i ran zone in the bcnm area. he hits me 100+ a a hit with tons of hp. my sidewinder only hits 500+, and didnt even look like i took 1/8 oh his hp.
Duo'ed it twice :
1st) with a 70 Smn
and
2nd) with a 74 Thf/Nin
Why twice? Cause I had my inventory full the fist time and I lost the egg. I am that kind of morron/idiot/noob.

Took my buddy to get all his WAR af. I'm a cocky ****** so i said we didnt need any help. (65rdm and he's a 52war) I was wrong. He hits very hard.Killed me after about a 10 min fight, and the war died right after. He asked if we should find help and i said no.... (remember im cocky) Changed sub to NIN and went back. Told the war to stay away cuz i didnt wanna lose hate to him and have him die. Soloed him with ease. He may be 53 in lvl but he hits like a truck. Also woulda been nice to have a BLM when he used his 2hr.

Wrong. I killed him at L63 BST with a L60 RDM and got 9 xp (with 30% xp penalty because of pet). That makes him 10 levels lower than me - 53.

Sure I understand you are happy to have your boots, but why would you feel a sense of accomplishment for killing something without a challenge? I just don't get the psychology behind that, I guess.
did this as my level 51 warrior with a Lv61 drk, 60 white mage and 70 paladin. He went down w/ ease, got my egg ^_^

I was helping my lsmate get her kazham keys when we wandered into the nest. Found the lesser NM and I killed it with ease, being a WAR32. I came back maybe 20 minutes later to ANOTHER NM, Ni'Ghu.

I can kinda verify this, I solo'd this NM being BST71/WHM35 on my second try:
On my first I used RR2 neck, Tav Taco (i knew I'd get hit), Fungus, blink, stoneskin, and gathered 300 tp... stupid WS from fungus missed, I had to use 2 fungus and still died when NM was @ 4%... was pretty pissed.
Second try, no RR neck, meat mithkabob (cuz im cheap), Fungus, and all the same as above, Fungus managed to land Spore, which owned, got the NM to 10% then fungus died, poped a second one and owned the damn thing, just remember to have full mp, i did used it.
We did this last night for a LS memember.

it was ALOT harder then we though it was going to be. It was hitting me from 60 to 90 and its TP moves for around 200+ I would take a 60+ Pld for sure or have a rdm or brd for refresh I ran out of MP and so did the whm. It had alot of HP and we didnt hit it very hard so I would have a blm as well. And get everyones TP to 300 before you fight I'm sure that would have helped alot hehe

When I was going into Palbourgh I saw a PLD level 57 I believe and he was out of mp and HP was down to at least 1/10 so then I"m ok and walk in and the begining is swarming with Quadav and this guy at lvl 32 MNK with mining equip he hit for 2 355+ hits and killed me after I"m hit by about 500 nukes

We were a little cocky going into this thinking he was a 52 no problem. Big mistake. He was hitting our pally for 125 almost everytime and he had used defender and a fish kabob his defense was well over 400. Anyway it got to the point where i had to dem us in the middle of the battle(ghetto escape) to save everyone from dieing. When we got to DEM our pally had 5P. Whew!!! We decided we needed some more fire power and came back the second time with this party:

This battle was alot easier. The 60 pally tanked and even with the MOB using invincible there wasnt any problems. We had to fight him twice(for the 60 pally friend who wanted the egg also. We didnt do anything special just hit hard and fast. I can confirm that I also tried to silence him with elemental seal twice with no luck. He might have a resistance to silence. I had enough time to take to take some screen shots. I sent them in I hope it gets posted.
If anyone ever needs any help in Gilamesh send me a tell.

Just fought this sucker, was alot harder than we were expecting. He's immune to Silence by the way, or at least, he resisted two Elemental Seal+Silences, so...
We had all lv 52:
WAR/THF
THF/NIN
RDM/BLM
WHM/SMN
BLM/RDM
And it was a very challenging fun fight. Didn't have any deaths, but very close.

I killed him last night with my LS. He was pretty easy.
Took us about 2 min and he didnt even get his 2 hour off. Because of our blm. (Gotta love that ancient magic)
Party setup was 50war/mnk <me> ; 63 blm/whm ; 62 rdm/blm ; 53 sam/mnk ; 63 thf/??? ; and 50 whm/blm.

This mob sucks a$$ i was helping some friends get the key for kazham and we ran into it on accident...it hit our 56 rdm for 200 and our 58 pld was getting raped by it...me being stupid hit it for 2! lol anyways it hit me for 498 (30 thf/nin) that's crazy amount of damage and this thing does link as well! when i saw it coming after me there were like 400 bazillion other quads behind it...btw someone add me on msn im' bored emilee_milburn@hotmail.com ^^ lol
The mob's name is Ni'Ghu Nestfender. Not Nickel'Ghu.
Also, at level 63 he gave me 8 experience in a party of 5. I was surprised at how hard he was able to hit me. A few regular shots landed for 90 damage, that after I had eaten a fish mithkabob.

I can confirm this. I was wondering why several websites list it as Nickel'Ghu. It is indeed Ni'Ghu Nestfender.

i had helped a LS buddy do this we had 51WAR/52NIN/51RDM(me)/55BLM/53NIN/52BRD
kicked his *** in 3 mins...of ccourse we all had 300 tp and did wicked skill chains and MB to jack him and this chump didnt use his 2hr which was dumb of him not to use.

Nickel'Ghu Nestfender has a paladin job (mages keep it silenced)
Requires a full level 50-53 party to defeat it
Nickel'Ghu Nestfender will use Invincible halfway through the fight, so you will need a blm in the party. While Invincible is active, the blm needs to bombard it with its best Thunder spell (Invincible does not protect against magic).
My party (53 war, 51 war, 52 blm, 52 whm, 53 pld, 52 thf) defeated it handily. we had to defeat it twice because it only drops 1 quadlav egg and both warriors needed it.
