i camped him today for about 30mins to an hour, as to my understanding i had competition with a jp party consisting of 2 drgs around lvl 60+ and an rdm 60+, and a mnk with the jujitsu gi, i was pld57/rng5 lol. so i stood on the same spot, let others kill the orcs around. anyway it spawns so i run quickly to it and flash it, i claim him, as pld i wasnt doing much dmg even though my sword is capped, anyway poisonhand starts using hundred fists, after abut maybe 1min i kill it and i get drop ^^ 1/1 on this... whos needs thf subbed lol. i think though the lucky egg helped alot
Anyone know the specific placeholder? Or is it just a random spawn? I've read previous posts, but they don't really shed any light on the subject...
I do believe the drop rate was nixed in a recent update. I started 3/4 on this, and am 0/11 since, and have not even seen anyone get drop. This is a great NM to camp though, because you can camp Hawkeye inbetween pops.

Just spent 5.5 hours camping this thing for the 4th time with no Gi drop. First two times were several days ago and took less than 2 hours to pop got the Gi on the second pop. 3rd time didnt get the claim. This time only got the sitabaki and renewed my hatred of NM camping O_o

55 Ranger here.. This thing ownd me heavily.
Used Shadowbind to claim so i couldnt use it to prevent hundred fists. (/slaps herself.)
All in all with EES Barrage and Sidewinder it was down to about 10% then used hundred fists and raped me >.<
Pretty tough Nm for my Lvl.

I'm going to eat this fugger alive.. 60MNK Style.
I've killed it twice in 2 days as 61MNK/26THF, I only lost about 400-600 HP either time, didn't use my 2hr.
I didn't throw Dodge the second time when he 2hr'd, and I lost maybe 200HP more than when I did.
Easy fights, and I got a Sitabaki the first time, and a Gi the second. Guess I can take MNK through Riverine now. ^^

Is it easier to camp it or buy it?
Um...I just started camping it part time on Ragnoark. There are usually about 2-3 others always there. I think the spawn is about 3hrs or so. I've managed to get him twice. I'd say if you have the gil, just buy it. There are war machines that spawn in the same area and drop decent drops (10k gun) and the treasure chest spawns in that area as well...so if you are the patient type you could camp him and get some extra gil from other stuff as well too....it may take a while though, so I guess I should say if you're really patient.

yeah, i have nothing elaborate to add on camping this. nope. got it when i chi blasted a Beastrider, and he decided to tag along, so i killed the beastrider, and i was down 200 hp, focused poisonhand, me and him were trading blows, then he decided to get mad when i raging fisted him, he pops his two hour, i pops my dodge, and he missed 3/4 of his two hour, and just to see what it looked like i popped my 2hour, guys, it was really cool, i had a crowd watching it, and everyone was kneeling, they were saying that it was impressive, but dont get me wrong he is nasty, he does make some dents in your HP, be careful ^^

I just wanted to post my experience...maybe it could be helpful to others. I fought him as a 55/27 DRK/THF. I guess my hp was about 1075 or something like that. Anyway I pulled him with stun and start fighting (an amazing pull, but since I didnt get the gi no need to hype it up)
He is hitting me around 30's-50's with a critical of about 90ish. So I get around 800hp and drain. Everything's goin good...then he 2hrs.
After his two hour...well during his two hour I redline so I use Blood Weapon and Souleater, which manages to outlast his two hour and get me back into the orange...a lil more than half life. Can't really remember where his life was.
Anway...I happened to have some acide and bloody bolts which I used, or attempted to use. I hit him with one acid and like two bloody...not for lack of trying...I guess he is a little high for my puny 90 something markmanship skill.
Anyway...long story short I finished the fight with about 30hp left...this is with about 3 drains and 2 bloody bolt connections...I barely survived. I very intense fight to say the least. Check my equipment. Its pretty good, but at level 55 for DRK this is a hard fight. Hope that helps a few people.

Any competent RDM 51 and above can solo this thing with ease. Just sleep it when it uses 2 hour, and turn around. Keep stoneskin phalanx up at all times, and you will use a total of about 100 mp and you will take no damage. It really is a simple battle.
By the way, that is me in the picture ^^
Got a Jujitsu Gi on that fight too, currently 400k on my server (Bismarck).

i'm a level 56 BLM/RDM and had a friend (55 RDM/BLM) there camping w/ me. We waited for about 3 hours and finally were about to leave. So, we decided to take out a few Footsoldiers. Just as we suspected.. As soon as we engaged the Footsoldier, Poisonhand's popped. Rdm runs over and engages him and i Sleep II the Footsoldier. We take him down to about 60% and we both use 2hour.. Poisonhand uses his 2hour and begins beating the life out of me. Fortunately Chainspell + Cure IV keeps me alive through his 100 Fist... Unfortunately after we kill him the Footsoldier awakes just in time for both of us to be out of MP.. i should of just used a few AoE's towards the end and problem solved. Furthermore, no Gi... just the Sitabaki..
0/3 on this mob. It's pretty regularly camped by at least one or two other people. But I've figured out at least four of the spawn points and it's not that hard to beat them to the claim.
Or you could always just report it to a GM. PK is supposed to be a big deal for this game. So yeah... goodbye to the monopolization attempt. One by one, all will fall.
to fix the training problem use thf. train on them and hide. or do they see through it??? if they cant see threw hide and let them use escape. then let the other mobs go back to where they came from. if the ls comes back train and hide again.

Just to Forwarn anyone who might think of camping this on Hades. There is a LS that is trying to Monopolize this so if you see them be careful. The ~Koromaharu~ LS uses some nasty tactics. They like to pull trains on top of you while your fighting and use Escape. I camped this for about 4 spawns and they try to get you killed when your fighting the Firebelchers or the NM. I'm only level 51 and can handle the mobs right in the area of the spawn.. but they always pull groups of Gladiators, Footsoldiers Etc. I've died once trying this NM and now thankfully i'm 1/4 on the Drop so i can give up and let them play there games.

A word to MNKs who have Counterstance: Dear god, do not use it.
It reduces your defense so much that you're taking nearly twice as much damage per hit, took mine from 153>>45. Plus, I ended up countering about 10% more of the time. Counterstance will get your *** beat even more than before.

So does anyone know if Hawkeye was moved to a different location after the patch? Me and a ls mate camped valk for 4 hours it poped and we missed it... so we decided to get away from the crowd and to head to davoi for a little fun... so we decided to camp hawkeye since its a low value item drop and not cammped to much... well we sat there for what must have been 3-4 hours and not a single pop... my friend was under the impression it was a 2hr pop and after i read the site's info noticed its a 1hr 20 min pop.. whats up with that...

I fought it with a friend 2days after the patch. It popped next to the trees. It appears that now it replaces placeholders randomly in the same general area.
I'm standing at G-7 right now on the border to G-6 in the little crevice and Poison hand just spawned. My friends have been at hawkeyed for about 3 hours and no pop. The NMs in davoi have been moved it seems. I can confirm this one is on the immediate right when you turn off the path going tword his old spawn at the G-7/6 line.
Very funny story....
At the time, I was MNK52/RDM25 because I had just finished getting the stone monument for Batallia Downs and i snook throught Eldieme to get there. Well I get it and decide to go fishing in Davoi pond for terrapins.
I start fishing and after about an hour a lower level RDM and his friend ask me if I can help them with the PLD quest. So I'm like sure, I'll help. We start off and eventually get to the well with a couple pug aggros here and there because their sneak wore, etc. But overall, easy trip. One of them then warps back to Sandy and the other needs me to escort him to zone. So on the way back, we both sneak/inv ourselves because some of the orcs were still EP to me. Keep in mind I only had on the four fishing pieces and my tact. mag. hooks...THAT's IT. Well I'm leading the way when all of a sudden i hear....
"The Wolf Bat hits xxx for 36 points of damage"
So I'm like great..because there was an EP orc in the same area. So i proceed to kill the bat and everything is peachy until i hear...
"The Wolf Bat hits xxx for 30 point of damage"
Another random around 30ish was being chased by two wolf bats. So I, totally forgetting about the orc at this point, proceed to fight the bats, cancelling out my sneak and inv in the process. Right before I'm finished killing I hear
"The Orcish Footsoldier hits Geronimoo for 109 points of damage"
Great....just what I need. Well, luckily I had RDM subbed so I just slept it and proceeded to run a little off and heal, because at this point i had 11 mp, and i was gonna deoderize sneak and inv all over again. Well the orc wakes up before I can start regaining mp. So at this point, I ponder using Hundred Fists but decide to book it since there were two other orcs right there anyway. So this massive orc train starts forming when eventually I come upon Poisonhand's spawn area. I see a SAM55 just killing an orc and a 60+ WAR standing there so I think..maybe they will help me. Well, before I could say anything, I see him...... Poisonhand just standing there, unclaimed. The SAM was occupied with his orc and the WAR had his back turned to him. Meanwhile I'm kicking myself in the *** for forming the train and not bringing my combat gear. Well, I end up training Poisonhand in the process of running and eventually make it to the zone with about 98 hp left! Only God knows who got Poisonhand...but it surely wasn't me :_:
I guess the moral of this story is to always carry your gear around with you because you never know WHAT can happen. Learn from my mistakes, people :_:

Was camping other Orc NM for archeres knives, but after losing that I went around Davoi for the other NMs when I saw him. I claimed him, no other players were around, and 3 other orcs linked ;; After sleeping the other orcs I start to fight him and I was winning till he 2hr'd. Luckly I was able to kill him off before him and the other 3 orcs killed me. Didnt get Gi drop tho :(

From my understanding this is a lottery pop. Ive sat for 4 hours killing everything that pops and it hasnt spawned. I have had a firebelcher spawn about 8 times in that time though, sorry i couldnt be more help.
could a 47 pld/23 war own this if i use invincible when he uses hundred fists?

As a 51 pld i can beat this thing pretty easily if i'm full.. Hundred fists can be canceled out by Invincible. Just gotta be careful of Outside enemies joining in or being injured going into the fight.
