My friend and I were just farming spiders when we ran into it. It was a pretty fast and easy fight. We got 4 webs and The Spider Torque ^^ Roar!
Saw Dune Widow while running through Eastern Altepa to get to the Quicksand Caves entrance (East side of map). He was in the very middle of the map. I was wondering if my and my party (Party level 45-47) should try and take it on, so I followed it for a while. After a bit, a 66 DRK came up and killed him, she didn't get the drop she said.
Dropping a Spider Torque is just a nasty rumor spread by the opposition ><

It's a spawn based drop. I have camped and killed it over 20+ times and got drop once. One day I was camping and I saw a JP come and camp it as well. He gets pull so I warp out. The next day I look at price history for the torque and he sold it. So then I gave up on camping it for a while, then I came back and it poped on the same spawn the JP killed it and I got drop aswell. So leading me to think that it is a spawn based drop, thus making it a "Rare" drop.
What do you mean "spawn based"? I know how many placeholders there are (trade secret) and I've seen it pop in each one several times.

hey can someone plz give me the spawn area for this nm plz.!!!
Found this while leveling bst today on widescan. Called my friend out (70blm/35RDM) we had some trouble but killed it within 3 minutes. A fun fight but we only got 3 spider webs. ;_;
I went out to help a friend get this last night. I was L60 RDM/29 BST for widescan and she was L66 RDM/15 THF.
She had just killed one solo (without much trouble, but she does have Phalanx and Stoneskin) before I got there. We camped for three hours before the next one popped.
I found it on Widescan, tracked it and went charging toward it. I got it, and we were very excited as we killed it - only to have it drop 3 spider webs.
I went back today and watched a L71 NIN take it down (;;), and he didn't get the drop either.
I think it's a rare drop, and it seems to have a pop time similar to Emp (2-4 hours).
Well spider torque is pretty much a torque for any rdm that can't get enfeebling torque. So its a lower lvl enfeebling torque and a pretty damn good piece of armor for rdm.
Where does this thing spawn at?
i was running around altepa when i saw this nm, so i decided to take a SC, then she aggroed me. x_x i was 40 atm so i ran for it. but i found it in the middlepart if the map

Killed it at 56 with a 56 WHM, and it dropped 3 spider webs. Plech.

I showed that dune widow who's boss. I was cutting thru the desert and saw it with my level 32 whm. Knowing that it would be so inferior to my taru-ness, i got really far away from it, casted Dia on it and then ran like hell to zone. I tell people all the time that I picked a fight with the dune widow at level 32 and lived to tell the tale. Take that, stinky dune widow!

She drop Spider Torque [Neck] Enfeebling Mgc.+5 Lv64- All Jobs
and when i kill her, she give me 3 Spider Web
