This does not have true sight, as I have never been spotted and/or killed by it except the time we tried to kill it with a pld tank. One cool note though, This guy is excellent for mpking gillsellers in the amemit room. So many good laughs.

This sucker has true sight. The other day I was omw to Cape to pt. I didn't know the way so I was on Auto-follow behind the whm. I see him and click him and say <T> on LS everyone shout's RUN! I'm like why I have Sneak invs on well I found out soon enough. He runs right up to me and hits me twice once for 572 and then for 582 I had 575 HP at the time friggin over kill. I dleveled and had to wait to get a raise. Then the rdm got aggroed by a crab and guivre was coming right at us I warped without thinking twice and then had to blist half the pt cuz they kept calling me and noob and that I sucked ***.
When I get my HNMLS high enough I'mma gonna over kill his *** right back to hell its my life goal. Him and the Sea Horror on the ferry I hate them more than anything else!

LOL when you get your HNMLS high enough huh? Better start checking the background on mobs otherwise you won't be a successful LS. I watched a few 75 NINs smoke him the other day. Was 2 NINs and 2 others not sure of the others, he's not that tough of a NM actually, speaking from their lvl perspective.

He doesnt have true sight. I was actually walking next to him with sneak/invis on. I watched him slaughter a party and we bothed laughed.

Have an interesting story...
Was skilling up in Kuftal with my 75 and 62 PLD friends (I am 62 WHM) and Guivre came running by like he usually does, wiping out all the xp parties there. 62 PLD runs back to Rabao and changes to his 74 THF, we have our 75 RDM friend and 70+ BRD (not sure of exact lvl) and a 62 DRK come. THF tanked, PLD sub-tanked by Flashing when THF needed to get shadows up, all RDM's enfeebles stuck, BRD used attack speed and evasion up songs, and DRK absorbed stats and used Stun. I was restricted to Regen and Haste because of the amount of hate my cures would do (compared to the little damage melees were doing). I recorded the whole fight and it lasted about 34 minutes. The DRK died in the beginning of the fight and was raised by another WHM standing by. Other than that, the only casualty was Guivre himself...34 minutes and he was dead.
I was completely shocked, I thought it was a death wish going into it, but I said, hey what the hell, it should be fun to say the least! Working on an LS website, gonna find a way to put the video on the site.
We were so elated that we actually did it, no one really cared that we didn't get one single drop =P

Yep.. I saw this guy the last two times I tavilled through kuftal.. He killed at least 3 partys members each time (including me).. Let me tell you this guy can really ***** up your partys if your not prepared. I dont think he has true sight..

he doesnt spawn very often.. like once a week?

This guy just spawned in Kuftal, and ate my party...hit our RDM for 571, I put on a silent oil and ran.

Lol I finaly got my revenge this thing puts up a tough fight though >.<. My Self and a 75 war were skilling up the other day when she poped and started killing a bunch of low lvls. so we gathered a few ppl and set up a party to fight it. full party of 75's and it still killed us >.<. then an other party of 73+ came and attacked her just to get wiped out lol. well they were fighting we raised and called in re-enforcments got an alliance of 70+ was a little over kill but it worked. Its a useless NM skull is only worth about 80k on my server but i wasnt selling it. i got a trophy for all the time this @#$#$ killed me well i was doing my NIN AF long ago lol. Fun to kill though and ppl will always volenter cause all want revenge and i am stoked to have got mine.
Oh and a party of 75'S can beat it But it would be best to have NIN tank with BRD for double evasion pld wont work to well cause it hits for 300+ and it attacks fast.. First time out pld tanked and got wooped.

Its great when you actually go and experience things for yourself. Sneak, Deodorize, Invis, while a bunch of lvl 55s shout your going to die, only to have the /target you while you run right up to guivre. And never get agrod, simply because your smart enough to back off when your sneak, invis, or deodorize, starts to wear.
If your going to follow guivre around, remember, it moves quickly, and has a VERY odd habit of stopping, looking in every direction, then moving again. My guess is, most of these tards who say he has true sight, let invis drop, then guivre stopped, spun around, and they went down. If you think im lying, go ahead and see for yourself, but i know for certain it does NOT NOT NOT have true sight. Ash dragon in ifrits cauldron, now thats a dragon/wyvern that does have true sight >.<

Ash Dragon does not have true sight, i have pictures of myself standing in front of it with sneak/invis on and waving at it while it walked through me to the other side of the room.

Little note about sighted mobs that aggro (different then sighted mobs for you thf's out there that steal and hide:). They will aggro if you bump into them. Don't know what the deal is, I have had some near misses, but everytime I have run through a gob, or other sight aggroing mob while invised, my invis drops, and they get a good whack on me for bumping into them. Now, personally, I have not run into this mob (literally, or figuratively;), but I am sure that was the case for the ppl who say this has true sight. just give mobs a fair distance when invised... bumping into them can cost you your life.

well i was pulling in kuftal and it was my frist time. i get in the big room and see a crab. i start heading towards the crab and see what i thought was a sea monk. but then it got closer and i realized its a dragon and i was only seeing its wings. so i started running back to my party...... pretty scary sight

Wow, we saw Guivre last night while exp-ing. I initially had no idea where it spawned, but I remember reading something about him being near Amemet's spawn point. Then we saw Amemet...
We were in the middle of fighting a Robber Crab when I saw "<name> was defeated by Guivre" and I knew trouble was up. Very fortunately for us, we were the other side of the hall against the wall and he didn't come close to our party. We were trapped in that room at one point and couldn't Escape because elementals were everywhere. Not a nice feeling, stuck between a huge wyvern and 3 - 4 Fire Elementals.
Guivre runs around the tunnels in a circle, it won't deviate from its strict route unless it aggros someone. Another party decided to set up camp where Amemet spawns and before we could warn them, ol' bad boy appears and starts killing. I did so many Tractors last night, I actually skilled up doing them... :)

Just today there was an alliance of ALL my favorite gil sellers on Shiva- the Gards, Superstars, and -Wangcais fighting Guivre... and dam did they get owned. Every time their nin tank lost hate, a mage died in 2 hits. Their tank lasted about 10 mins, then a thf/nin tanked it before about 8 were dead. I was omw to a pt so didnt see how it ended ^^ but it was at the zone earlier so im guessing they died again. And Amemet was there behind them too lol. I was Omw to Valley of sorrows the other night and there she was Sneak and Invisable she didnt aggro but guy who ran past me wasnt so lucky bam one hit dead so scarred i got lost in Kuftal running bc i thought she would see me but didnt i ran right through her 61rdm ?

I rember one day when i was on my way to escort my friend 2 the cape when all of a sudden this big *** DRAGON cpmes out of no where and arrgoed me.So i stared to fight it and got owend in like 5 turns.then came back wit a party and waited for him to spawn and then KICKE ITS *** BABY!!!!
What I've heard about this mob, and what I've experienced is that he does hit for over 500 per hit. 531 on me to be exact, but I'm just a level 58 blm. Also, I've heard he has true sight so sneak/invis doesn't matter, he'll still agro you. The best thing to do when seeing this mob is to escape out, or get an alliance of 75s to take him out. I don't recommend coming anywhere near him as before you know it, you'll be looking at the sky (Elvaan) or eating dirt...
I saw this ******* 2 nights ago (Pandy) xp'ing in Kuftal in the big room where alot of Sand Lizards spawn (and I think that one NM lizard Amesomething.)
