lol i killed him 6 times in a row yeterday with no drop, 6 times, thats six hours. so angry ive become obsessed with killing him.

Just want to confirm Leon's post. From what i saw, and i was paying very close attention, the crypt ghost *does* spawn every 27 hours VD time, if not exactly, it will spawn relatively close.
CG's spawn is based on the bat's spawn. I believe someone posted something about him spawning on the 5th bat spawn, and that's about 27 hours game time.
So, to sum this up, both of you were right, I was counting how many time the bats pop in between and it came down to 5 bats.
btw, if you want to make a little more money when you're camping this mob, take a little trip over to the Spook's spawn after crypt ghost spawns, it's not too far, and it spawns a good 2-3 times, so you have 2-3 chances at that traveller's mantle each time.

I've camped this guy a few times, alternating between him and Goblin Gruel, and not sure if it's happened to anyone else but I've had him pop on me mainly between 23:00-1:00, anyone got him at any other time other than around midnight? Cuz that's mainly when he pops for me.

Im currently 1/2 on this guy, he's been very nice when compare to Spook (0/13). I was camping Spook just while ago and I got 1 spawn then lost the 2nd so I went to check CG. I see a high level THF killing the bats and I see my LS friend is dead on the floor and afk O_o. I go to /cry over him and I see CG hovering to my right. I quickly Provoke, use Manafont (since I had used all my MP training things on the way to the tomb) and kill him. He drops slacks and im so excited and the THF never knew he spawned. So while he's killing the bats im going back to Spook and coming again 2 game overs later to hopefully claim him again. :)
Well this monster is now my best friend, currently 3/6 on him, 0/18 on Spook. >_> I'm never touching Spook again.

Right now I'm 0/4 with Crypt Ghost. He skipped a day for some reason after first spawn, 3rd spawn some *** got him, 4th, 5th and 6th I got him, no drop set the 6th time, was revival tree root. Trying to make some dough here. I actually got this one guy in trouble.... when he kept coming to bother me, he was a ***. Was harrassing me, My friend called a GM on him. LOL. Well still camping for a few more hours... maybe i'll get him. he's a 27 hour spawn, Vanadiel time, I've noticed
yeah usually anyways...now when ppl ***** up the bat times it gets messed

i'm a blm and i'm 0/5 on this guy (3 of the 5 was in a row)...someone told me that the slacks wouldnt drop (or dropped less frequently) if magic is used to kill the crypt ghost rather than physical attacks. anybody know if this is true? if so, its gonna take me 5 minutes to kill the thing :/

i guess i just have incredibly bad luck with this thing then. i'm somewhere around 1/15 give or take. theres gotta be some reason why my friend can get 3 in a row and i get nothing 10 times in a row

i am 5/10 now...ran to it after spook...others went to gruel and i went to him...was sitting there...err...floating there, i took, killed, got slacks :D

Not that i use voke...i been taking it with poison...just got stun for drk so will be using that now

Your best bet is to not use an auto-target macro.
Considering, if a dragoon was camping with you with it's wyvern....you may target the wyvern instead and lose your pull.
I suggest you simply press CNTL+J then press provoke, that way you're only targeting mob's in that area. Now, this does include the tomb bats that spawn, but, it's not all that difficult to press tab, or right or left (depending on wether you use pc or ps2) Worked well for me last time i camped, beat that damn DRG to the pull, beat a friend to the pull too (same party) she was using auto-voke.
Now, normally I would use auto-voke, but then i noticed it's kinda slow, and if there's npc's around, like the tombstone at the "Spook" camp, then you have some problems.

i use no special macro...just cast poison on it soon as i see it spawn...not much competition usually!

How the hell do they do it??? I have been camping this ***** for 3 hours and I have only gotten 2 with no drop, and that was only because I was alone. Whenever the things spawns by the time I can target it the thing it's already been taken! It isnt my connection, I just checked. 100 Mbps. As always. What kind of macros are these people using? It cant be just

Press CNTL + J and select provoke, helps to keep a tomb bat in the area targeted until the spawn, that way you can see all your surroundings.
But if there's nothing to target while you wait, then you gotta do it with that screen in your way.

Umm... this isnt really NM... it just has a good drop... took me 3 days to get this but i made good money from all of the cotton but the thing is evil T_T (sorry if i make a mistake i kinda got a bit of a headache)

This guy is pretty fun to camp. first time i camped it(yesterday) i got the drop. I was so happy since it was my first sucessful drop. ermm.. continuing.. didnt get anymore drops that night but the nexted morning i decided to give spook a try.. When i got there about 3 peeps wer camping it. i was like Sh*t i aint going to get this guy but with my hard head i dicided to stay (thank god i did ^^). all 4 of us waited til night fall until it spawned. didnt get it that time but wait theres more >:) ... The second time it spawned this lvl 17 warrior grabbed it i was like bah.. but then she used mighty strikes. When she used it i knew something wus goin wrong so i looked at her HP. she was dieing (woot)n the spook kept draining her life making him gain hp. eventually she died and i picked up the spook before any1 could. Guess what! traveler's Mantle :D

the 3 other's i guess wanted cg so badly that they dicided to try n distract me with skele's carbuncle n examining me. lol they looked so stupid but let me continue. while they were busy trying to distract me i wus focusing on cg to spawn. lol guess wut it spawns right in front of me :D i voked it hella fast, nexted thing they knew i wus me kickin cg's A** they were like u aint gona get the drop.. lmao guess wut it dropped XD it wus the funniest thing lmao at first they didnt believe me so i showed them. send good luck on the nexted spawn and logged.

All I have to say Aryis, is your a fool, I'd hardly consider what Sebastion and Tribalrsf were doing as trying to distract you, more along the lines of alleviating our boredom, nor was I doing anything aside from sitting it the corner contemplating my toenails. You've also wandered off to to CG any number of times while we've been camping spook.
But yes, a good NM to camp, it was fun watching you kill the bats.

I go in here sometimes when im bored to trash things and get bone chips walked up on this guy and stomped him.I was a 34WHM at the time he was easy but no drop. So i thought i would stick around and see what else popped 4 peeps walk in an ask about him so i said yeah i just owned him.
they said u get slacks and i was like no stuckaround another hour or so and bam there he was dropped second time too!!! so far im 6/8 on em not bad for a easy 20-35k bad thing is i just startd lvlin RNG now i need a pair. Off to the tomb tonite!!!

Man I guess i just got good luck with this guy or something because there is never anyone down there when i hunt Crypt Ghost. I have gone 2/3 with him and going to try for more in a bit. Also i think i was so lucky was because everyone is too busy doing the summerfest thing.
