I'm lvl 54 SAM/RNG. DRG and SMN were the only jobs I hadn't done. The dragon is dead. Solo.
I'm about to do this with a 30BLM/WHM <me>, and a 49DRG/WAR LS friend. wish me luck ^^

We destroyed Cyranuce with the following party:
34/17 THF/MNK (using dagger)
34/17 WAR/MNK (using 1H axe)
35/17 WHM/BLM (using hammer)
1. Warrior bought pear au lait and fishkabob
2. Thief bought pear au lait and meatkabob
3. White Mage bought melon juice and meatkabob
4. All 3 got 300% TP in ghelsba
5. Enter battlefield
6. All 3 eat food, WHM casts prot II and shell
7. WHM rests, THF and WAR boost
8. WHM stands, all 3 drink their drinks
9. WAR charges and provokes
10. THF takes position behind
11. WHM debuffs dia, slow and paralyze
12. WAR uses raging axe
13. THF sneak attacks and skillchains with viper bite
14. WHM uses seraph strike
15. THF has aggro, uses perfect dodge
16. When PD is gone, war provokes, uses defender
17. WHM regens war
18. Battle proceeds as normal fight.
No ones health ever hit yellow and the whm walked out with 263 mana still left.

You can kill this guy easy with a level 30 party if you prepare and have a good party setup (basically, a good tank and a decent WHM).
Breath attack can be avoided if the non-tanks stick to the sides/back of this guy. You are given time to eat food/buff after the cut scene, so don't panic.

i just fought this today with a DRK and a RDM helping me. they were at least lvl 54 with their 2 AF pieces. after the fight which was pretty easy thanks to them it showed the record of being arond 54 seconds on Seraph. who set that record and who did they have in their party?

beat this with 1 lvl 60drg and 1 lvl 55 drg, all i can remember in the fight is seeing cyranuce die and breaking the record...

My brother can solo this dragon and detroy him very quick. I have heard of many people die from him beacause they were to weak to kill him. Well i guess if u have the right equiptment and know how to play your roll in the party you should do just fine! Goo luck to everyone whow wants kill Cyrannuce.
at the time i was a 40rng/nin. i tanked this guy! lol. a 55 rdm/blm from my LS helped me. i almost died, but only b/c i opened the fight with barrage and then piercing arrow and i was just plain spammin arrows until my utsu wore off and he actually started hittin me, then i laid off^^. once rdm regained his attention, i recast utsu, and recommenced the onslaught of arrows.
funny story---the whole time im fightin, some guy was /tell me "whats inside the hut?" "is this where the missing kid is?" lol
i didnt realize that other people saw us just standin there at the hut while we were inside fightin.

ok im a 45DRK/22THF
Do u think i can solo it seeing as how my attack is 234 and def is 179 with no protect
i lay out an average of about 190-280 and so far my record with all my buffs with a sneak attack is 484 critical hit

an average of 190-280 against what? IT mobs? too weak mobs?
this guy is 5 levels below you and is a notorious moster, meaning he's severely over-leveled
even if he weren't though, do you think you can solo any easy prey at your level? as a samurai, I lost my ability to solo EP mobs around level 30
also, he will aggro you as soon as he spawns, there is no way you could set up for a sneak attack if you go in solo

picutre this: urself and 5 drgs in full AF (2 61s, 2 62s, and a 67) facing down this guy 5 penta thrusts, 5 jumps, 5 high jumps, 5 super jumps and he was pretty mutch dead

Super Jump does no damage, just removes all hate...they all Super Jumped and let their wyverns and you tank?
i just fought em earlier, nice pt of 51 pld, 31 war, 39 rdm, 50 rdm, 40 drg, and a 30-something thief. PIECE OF CAKE. this sucker went down in a little over one and a half minutes. we almost beat the record, but we finished 8 seconds too late >< oh well. this thing is actually pretty easy if you have a good pt.
Me and 4 LS friends fought this a few nights ago, config was:

The WAR died within the first minute from an attack that did well over 400 damage, then about 30 seconds later the RDM from a slip of the finger, hitting his provoke macro, the WHM used Benediction and me and the other THF both voked and sneaked it, it died and amazingly the WHM lived! It was a really fun fight, we didn't break the record though :(

my pops kealgso just killed this thing in like 10 minutes with him being a lvl 46 pld/23war 46whm/23blm 46mnk/sam it was AWSOME!

When i was fighting Cyranuce M. Cutauleon i was a lvl 30 MNK and i had a lvl 58 DRG and a lvl 73 BST fighting along side me soo ya, that didnt last very long

this was an easy battle... I broke the record by 2 minutes, 30 seconds too lol My time was 2:32, soloed it as a level 51 DRG/WAR with a level 30 whm to stand there and cheer me on the whole fight lol Good stuff
Person in my ls named Lalaru set the record on siren as I still think its up. He beat it in 39 seconds lol.
I fought him last night with two friends. Our party configuration was as follows:
37 WHM/BLM (me)
36 MNK/WAR
30 RDM/BLM
I put up protect II and shell II on the party as well as blink, stoneskin, and reraise on myself. Our MNK ate a fish mithkabob, both mages ate roast mushrooms. The MNK started with combo followed by hundred fists. This put a significant dent in the dragon's health, but we had a long way to go. It spammed some special attack that dispelled our buffs. This was rather annoying as it made it impossible to keep regen on the MNK consistently, and of course I lost reraise. He was also doing about 200 damage with another special. The mushroom turned out to be a good idea as I spent a lot of time resting. We had it almost dead when I ran out of mana and didn't have a chance to get a tick of rest before the MNK dropped into the red. I was standing up to use benediction when it fell.
The battle took just over eight minutes. According to the log this was the server record, but I assume all that it really meant was that we were the first ones to kill it after the most recent update.

Just soloed it as a 45DRG/22WHM. . . the 30 THF hid in the corner and cheered for me.I was afraid it would not he wouldnt be able to hit it anyhow. It was a tough battle though. Be sure to cast aquaveil, AQUAVEIL, before you go in so that your cures go through without inturruption. once aquaveil wore my mana was useless. Also, be sure to start off with 300 tp, that initial doublethrust hurts it bad. I forget the time, it was forever though.

This thing is a cinch. I did it with a level 30 RDM and Im a 55 PLD and only needed one Melon Juice for mana...since I'm Elvaan. Other than that any melee job over 52 can take this thing without batting an eye lash.

56WHM/50THF/52RDM us 3 fought this big ugly mily licker and set a record with 59 secs!!! we fought it where the BCNM 20 is at we just paralyzed and silenced in case it got cute thf SATA i nuked and WHM did his thing very easy for hi levels to beat up :P
Can someone tell me the coordinates of where he spawns? Apparently the BCNM30 is here as well. Thanks.

ok i have done drg so i'm wondering can i sit and do him over and over for the items drop?
i killed it very easly,solo for sure. ( lvl 60 pld )
To beat Cyraneuce, you really don't need high level help, much like the battle with the leeches to unlock Ninja. With a well-balanced group of around level 30 characters, this fight would be challenging, but very doable. The big problem with this fight is that you need everyone to have either beaten him already or be up to the point in the quest where you are supposed to confront him (which involves a lot of travel, as you probably know).
When we did this fight, our party looked something like this:
(it was a while ago, and I'm going by memory)
40 DRK/WAR
40 BRD/WHM <- Me at the time
40 BLM/WHM
34 WHM/BLM
38 RDM/BLM
To be honest, I was pretty scared going into the battle. I had read how someone 50+ in a melee job could probably solo this fellow, but since our party had no real tank it seemed that things could go wrong. Our DRK activated Souleater at the start of the fight, and began hacking merrily into the poor fellow for oodles of damage. Myself, the white mage, and the red mage poured cures into her like none other while engaging the monster as well for some slight additional melee damage. The black mage mostly nuked, but it was quite a short fight, so he didn't get many spells off
II think that a well-balanced party of low to mid 30's would be able to do this battle safely enough to avoid great risk, but it would be still challenging enough to make for a satisfying battle.
I'm a level 50 Bard now, and I think I might be able to solo it...
And that's saying something!
