Big window? Been here for 5 hours killing everything in the room, even the beetle, 70RNG/NIN and 75BLM/WHM. No pops yet -_- I don't advise camping this guy, I'll stay here but it's probably best to just pop in kill a pld mob and see if it pops, if it doesn't it probably wont...

well right now i have killed him 3 times
1st time was me at lvl 54ish RNG, had a 75/MNK and a 63/WAR, went down pretty easy. mnk took EEX for about 700 damage. sag. dies no bow. so we leave.
next day back down there this time 56/RNG(me), 75/MNK, 69/PLD. again no bow. so at this point we al pull out our NPC and do some lvling there. few hrs later he pops again. kill him once again very easy. and yet again no bow... made about 4k gil and some cheap ores.
No i'm lvl 66/RNG and i'm in a XP pt in Bibiki Bay and my monk friend is helping somoene with the coffer and Sag. pops on them. they take it down and the one time i'm not there the bow drops. -.- so i'll be back in the caves soon for my bow.

Heeeey, I was there lving 47-48 pt: rng/nin (me), war/nin, pld/war, blm/whm, rdm/blm, whm/blm. We were the only party there and he spawned, first thought was "Wow... that's a pretty big ant"... so after a while we decide we're gonna move camp, and we'll give him a run and just zone if we have to. Well I think we got to a point where none of us were willing to give up. He EESd our pld at about 3/5 life but didnt do much damage, like 450 or so. war and I both 2hrd and rdm had to convert in the middle of the fight and cure for at least 1/4 of it because other mages ran out of mp. I was stoked because I figured they would let me get drop since I was the closest to being able to use the bow... but it didnt even drop ; ;. We got about 180xp, 500g, antican robe, 2 iron ores and a dark crystal. I must get this bow now...

My party soloed it as 6 ppl lvl 47-50, very easy fight, only thing that hurt was EES, we had somone die, but RDM instantly raised and was back up in a few mins. Got the Loxley Bow and Adaman ore ^^.
Just soloed him. Was leveling my NPC and had her leave. So, i was running through caves to leave and I ran into him. EES did 580 dmg to me. I went MNK/THF hoping for spider web drops. No bow, 15 Limit Points for a 75 MNK and about 4500 gil.

Semi-Soloed with my lvl 50 NPC as a 62 Mnk/War with Hundred Fists. EES did 590, Magnetite Cloud for about 400, both covered by back-to-back Cure IV from NPC. Ended with 666/1529 hp, darksteel ore, 2x iron, robe, and dark crystal...
Maybe I should say I duoed it...

Me being my normal self a 66 monk at the time see a nm spawns near where i was camping for a map. seeing that it was rough for higher levels i wanted to test my luck and see if i could kill it. So i kill place holders for about 20 minutes and he spawns with about 300 hp missin I start layin in on him he keeps missing so I see no need to use hundred fists after I get him 1/4 down he starts hitting 75's so i hundred fists by the time he EES he had me down to 1k hp and that took me down to about 400 hp doing roughly around 600 hp with EES. a few seconds after he dies and drops his bow. I being my normal self have no room so it doesnt drop to me right away I give it to someone else who needed it no adaman which is what i was hoping for. ive killed him 3 times only 1 bow and not a single adaman ore ****.
well im still at this guy 1/10 on adaman ore 7/10 on bow and boy is he fun to kill.

This NM, is fairly easy. I'm a 68rng/34nin and i duo'd him w/ a 68whm/nin tanking :P. 2/4 on Adaman ore and 1/4 on loxely bow!. At least i got it. This bow is insane for pulling. I macro this bow in and can outpull just about anyone. this bow is also good for if u get links and need to sleep an extra enemy fast. This bow is just about instant and i love it for campin NM's also.

Almost completely soloed this NM as RNG57/NIN24.
I was pting with a NIN60 in Quicksand caves for about 5 hours trying to get this NM to spawn, we got a couple coffer keys. We decided after 6 hours and 30 minutes to leave, I came back as RDM48 (about 5 minutes after I left) to find coffer and get my map of Quicksands.
I run around Quicksand looking for the coffer and guess what I saw... Yes, Sagittarius spawned... RIGHT when I left...
I warp to Rabao, switch jobs, NIN goes to Quicksand before I get there and tries to solo him, he had to zone with about 1/4 his HP. I go in while he rests, shadow up, pull the NM and range it while its away (until 3/4 hp).
I shot 6-7 times, Slug Shot, he comes near, I shadowbind and run back. NIN zones in with 720~ hp, gets near Sagittarius, gets instant hate (Shadowbind switches hate to whoever is nearest) then he moves back because he had to shadow up. I Barrage > Slug Shot, this caused Sagittarius to Eagle Eye Shot the NIN before he had utsusemi up, he's left with 8 hp, zones.
I shoot around 5 more times, then Slug shot. Sagittarius dies. 1/1 Loxely bow ^^

i was messen around in quicksands the other day looking for a coffer and got my map then i find this guy. tryed to solo it with gimped subjob but could only get it to half life before i had to zone. so i had a blm friend come to help me kill it. we manged to kill it but it was a close fight when it was dead i had 117hp left and no mp and my blm firend had no mp left but it droped the bow and some iron ore.

I went to go tag team Titan with my friend then after that quick fight I came up with the brilliant idea of camping this NM. Me (75Rdm/Nin) and her (75 Thf/Nin) cleared the room for about 20 minutes or so and while we were ******** around he popped on us and linked on what we were fighting. We quickly wiped out what we were playing with and teamed up on him. I ended up tanking the fight and EES did nothing more than take out 1 Shadow and my Stoneskin, 0 damage to me. Killed while we were still a bit low from the other fights but still killed him with ease. Dropped Lox Bow and a bunch of ores. Now to just lvl my Rng like I planned on past 20 :\

Was messing around in quicksands looking for ??? for teleport altep quest/ duoing beetles with a 44 whm friend of mine(cornema). A 75 pld/nin was here killing the anticans in the room for an hour to an hour and a half with no spawn. He left and we killed on princeps. Right after we killed a beetle this guy pops and i send out a call to my LS for people high enough to stand a chance against him to head to the caves. Only person of the right lvl was a 60 war/nin(ragnarokzero or Rags). I was confident we could manage to beat him.
The war got there and we managed to get him alone. We got him down to about half and I told the whm to get Rags' health above half cause he would use EES soon. I say this and not ten seconds later he wastes rags with Eagle Eye Shot for 550 dmg.I fell shortly thereafter and cornema ran for the zone and made it. One day I'll teach this guy to mess with me and my friends.

Just tried to solo as 69PLD/34WAR...
EES and Magnetite Cloud were too much.

Maybe if you time Invincible with EES, but still a long shot.
Result 2.4k exp lost, lmao. Got him down to about 20% HP though.

Well, the other day I was helping a RNG friend of mine camp him. I am a 56SAM, and my buddy is a 73RNG. We killed the Princeps for over 5 hours (and the other ants and beetles as well) and the NM never spawned. Thankfully I was there to skill up more than anything, as he didn't need my help, so it wasn't a total waste of time, but yeah, he was nowhere to be found. I took it kind of personally, so I am anxious to get out there and camp him again.
On another note, I have killed this guy before in an xp party of 47-49 or so. We had some excellent mages, and we calmly and easily took this guy down. It was a pretty long fight, but there was never really much danger. His EES did roughly 400 to our PLD, no big deal. We got some iron ores, a robe, some gil, and some xp. I am 0/1, my RNG friend is 0/5. We'll get it though.
UPDATE: 8 hours of camping and he finally spawns. What does he drop? A robe and 2 iron ores. This guy is a jerkwad. In fact, while setting up our Penta Thrust >>> Slug Shot Skillchain, I turned him and promptly got a face full of his Eagle Eye Shot. It did ~700 damage to me, a hefty chunk out of my 1111, but not enough to kill me. Sadly, it left me in a low enough state that I later got blasted with some Firaga II from a Signifer and bit the dust. I suppose in the long run he got me dead and didn't give us his bow so he won, but at least he has to live with knowing he is a wuss and couldn't take me down himself.

i camped this foo for the last week to get Loxley Bow, and i finally got it after 6 tires. He pops very fast, like after the first 2 placeholders are killed, but only if his window is up from the last time he was killed (has to be at lest 4 hours). EES did 650 damage to lvl 75 war/nin.

i'm currently 68sam and i'm subbing RNG. i can solo this pretty easily if i take the right steps and be careful about it.
first of all to pop him, you have to kill the antican princeps which is located in the room. from its time of death its respawn time is 16mins. exactly.
i don't think i would be able to solo this NM without my 2hr and RNG sub.
when it pops this is my routine-
-make sure no other ants around that can link
-meditate and cool down timer(usually do this before or while waiting during the 16min. spawn time.
-make sure i have all the RNG equipment i'm going to use. i.e. emp pin, leaping boots, drone earrings.
-i use my mychin kote and use tonosama r.balls for def and att.
-pull NM close to zone just in case things get ugly.
-at this point he isn't meleeing, just launching arrows.
-half the time he misses, so i use persikos au lait for regen
-just continue to launch arrows at him at a distance, i use demon arrows so his att goes down.
-at about 3/4 health he will come up to melee.
-begin sidewinder routine > sharpshot > sidewinder > meikyo suishi > sidewinder > sidewinder > meditate > sidewinder > wait > sidewinder > and if he's still alive barrage > then sidewinder.
- at about half health he will EES, usually you will see an animation of dust whirling up beneath him. just watch for that and third eye.
-if he happens to hit you use potions accordingly.
after the battle im usually down to a quarter of health. its a risk i take because usually nobody is around to help me because i'm constantly camping this n/m. i am currently 0/7 on this NM, sadly.
Is the bow worth the trouble i'm going through? probably not.
But its fun and I'm enjoying it for what its worth and the challenge.

the bow is Phenomenal for camping. the delay is really low and with rapid shot its just that much better. prolly as fast as all those quick claim abiltites. i saw a guy using it yesterday at LL and decided to ask him where he got it. its not too good for damage, even if you chain arrows he said its not really worth it. but if youre looking for a way to camp as RNG while still subbing thf for TH, then this bow is the way to go.
Took this bad boy down yesterday with a full PT of 48-49. Went easily and no one 2hred. Though when it 2hred, one of our members died. I was the WHM (fun..) and we got the drop! And some mythril ore and lots of iron ore. Since I was the only one with RNG levelled, I got the drop! ^^
The Loxely Bow is good purely because of its Delay which is 120, making it the fastest bow in the game. It can beat Dia and is useful for RNGs camping Leaping Lizzy and VE to use as a quick claim (since it has more range than provoke).

I was exping in Quicksand right by the zone earlier today, when this thing spawns RIGHT FRIGGIN NEXT TO US. It linked with the Antica we were fighting and totally raped us. =/ our RNG even 2 houred and it did total crap. Pally two houred, that didn't help. RDM used chainspell and nuked the crap out of it, all that did was pull hate and she died pretty fast. The other BLM and I died shortly afterward, leaving the pally to get raped by her lonesome. I'm gonna kill this thing, eventually, just for revenge. It'll make me feel good =D.
dang... we took him out a 50 or so EXP PT (maybe lower) a while back, not too tough and I dont thin anyone 2-houred.
I was tanking as PLD at the time and don't remember any Eagle Eye Shot >.>guess I got lucky. We did get the bow though, even had a ranger who was leveling something else that needed it ^^
Any decent EXP should definitely go after it though has some good drops and a nice change of pace for level grind.

Just fought it yesterday with 4 LS friends
61 RDM, 59 MNK, 56 RNG (me), and 50 BLM.
We did kill it but we suffered a death to all but the RDM. (The monk and I tried to solo it before hand but both died and wasted our 2 hours then we called ls friends to come and help so the RDM used his 2 hour to finally finish the fight ^^)
Unfortuneatly, no bow drop =\ not even the good ores. From what it seems this NM isnt THAT tough its just the Eagle Eye Shot and fast dagger hits that'll hurt you ^^ hope that helped.

1. 70 rng/nin. I destroyed him. I was using Hellfire, and the fight went something like this:
Utsusemi > Barrage > Slugshot. He was half dead after this, so he EES'd me. Re-Utsusemi > 5 shots > Slugshot > Win. I didn't take very much damage. I got adaman ore.
2. 71 rng/nin. Found out I need Loxley Bow for something other than being a jerk in Ballista. I used O-bow and the fight was WAY harder this time and it went like this:
Utsusemi > Barrage > few more shots > Slugshot. He was not halfway dead after this, and was not pissed off enough to EES me. So I freaked out, I did not have my 2hour, and Utsusemi was off. I tried Shadowbind, it held long enough for a recast and that was it. My main problem was running in all cocky... like I owned the place. Somehow he ended up EES'ing me and I blinked it! After that (and most of this fight was me running around like a maniac) I Slugshot, and the fight looked like it was in my favor. So I started spamming Darksteel Bolts at him. I won, with under 200 hp left. I got Loxley Bow, adaman ore, and darksteel ore.
So, now for my crappy advice; if I was 68 rng/nin, I would do this:
Start fight with 100 TP and Utsusemi. I suggest using O-bow, or whatever. Slugshot > Barrage > EES. If you do that I'm 97.35% sure he will use his EES. And once he uses his EES, you are safe, so... Re-Utsusemi > finish him off.
I hope this helps. Good luck all you RNG's who want this. I can't wait to shoot 30,000 arrows at Genbu for 0 damage per hit... in under 5 minutes.
