Where is the EXACT spawn point of this thing?

Is it in the room at (I-11) on the second map ( The one after you drop down the hole with the NPC) with the two Haunts in it? or is it on another map?

Both times I've fought him, he's spawned in that little room at I-11, the one with the two haunts.

soloed as 74thf with blood bolts and wing sword.

hits for about 9-10, wind damage 25. spirits within 540. drain bolts about 50-100

mugged him twice for about 8k. dropped 18k and 45exp.

easy kill. did not need utseumi to kill. 25 minute fight

Yah I also solo him about 6 times for Jelly ring for Plds that need it, just drain him to death... Fight a bit long even with mousse add lol.With eva 260, marksmanship cap fun fight.

Genhanen is right, i just got done trashing this fool. 75 ninja/warrior

Nin/Blm would pwn him.

there are 2 placeholders (2 closest to the Haunts room), they spawn 17 min roughly from death, he will pop in one of their places.

He can't hit ninjas, i took 0 dmg the whole fight, blinked everything with no problems.

Phys dmg did 19-25 per swing.

Ninjitsu wheel i did 135 dmg per ninjitsu so i had him killed right before the other placeholder spawned again. About a 15 minute fight, no dmg tooken, and completely thrashed him.

Cake walk for 70+ Ninjas.

Solo'd as 71NIN/WAR. If I had BLM leveled, I would've gone NIN/BLM to kill it faster.

Worked my way down to H/I-11 and started killing the Mousses in the area until it popped, then pull ed it away from the nearby Haunts. Pulled with Kuriyama and followed with Hojo. Physical damage is massively resisted - I was hitting for 9-12 damage. I used Blade Retsu when I had the TP for Paralyze, doing about 45 damage or so.

Just kept going through the elemental wheel (hitting for 124/unresisted) until it fell over. Hit me twice for a total of 235 damage. War Shinobi Gi & a Pear a Laut were more than enough.

Now I have a Jelly Ring.

My pld friends been begging me come and kill this NM and today I finally help him, it was him a 65 pld and me 72 rdm. I never really got the point on why rdm own this NM so bad until we fought it last night. Anyway he told me to bind, gravity and nuke. I ask if he was going to do anything and he said Ill just voke O.o lol. Anyway we camped it and after 1 and half hours it popped he claimed it and the NM hit him as I casted bind, gravity and Fire 3 his a$$, I got hate right away and then pld flash him and I just repeat the process bind, grav, nuke. Too Weak to be worthwhile lol.

this nm is level 65. i sent a correction, but i figured i'd mention on here. just killed it solo as 75 rdm/war rather easily. he gave me 12000 gil, 3x slime oil, 1 jelly ring, and 25 exp. making him 10 levels below me. also, i cast barwater to see if it helped against fluid toss/fluid spread and it seemed to, but i can't confirm as i had stoneskin up.

friend of mine wanted the ring, with effort, we managed to get it. a lot of effort, and a lot of deaths.. not so much on the mob itself, but the gettin there.. oh well, now we know there are trapdoors at this place ^^

Well, after hitting 67 PLD, my friend Hoseph 75NIN helped me camped this sucker. Needless to say, with a Ninja, camping this thing is cake, as nothing will be able to hit a NIN for long until his blink is back up.

But, it took us quite a while (about 3 hours) till he popped and with my trigger fingers, Flash claim him. And our battle with him began as his name turns red. I enfeebled his slimeball into oblivion with Paralyze/Slow/Dia2 with halfpowered Blind.

All was well, we dragged him into the small corridor before the room he popped in to avoid 2 Haunts that'll aggro when they spawn. A Mousse decides to move in on us, so I engage SS to keep claim on him, while my friend takes on add.

15 minutes later and some heart palpitations, Jelly Ring drops and a Taru dances. Please everyone on Ragnarok wave to Hoseph for me, I can't thank him enough after helping me previously on my PLD AF3 (and dying twice :S ).

Thought i would share a most enjoyable night i had with soloing this **** slime. After the server update i logged on and made my way to Bostaunieux Oubliette. I charm a Easy Prey bloodsucker and head to I-11 (the sewer syrup spawn point). There i can see 2 Haunts and 2 Mousse slimes with about 3\4 bats. This is also a third slime a little further up but i ignored this one. I take out the slimes by releasing my leech and charming the slime. Then i attack the leech and a bat to take the slime down. When the Mousse is dead i charm the leech and attack the bat, then when my timers are ready i release leech and charm bat then sneak and release again. With this tactic i was able to kill off the placeholders very easily. After doing this for about 1 hour 20minutes, Sewer Syrup spawns. I wait till my leech is at full health then fight Sewer Syrup.

I kite it to the bloodsucker area where i let the easy prey leeches die and swap between 2 DC leeches. When the easy prey leeches respawn i use them and let them die also. This ensures you only have 2 leeches near the entrance and therefore helps you keep aggro free. Use sic as much as possible as the leeches normal hits are only like 10 damage at a time but Drain kiss for example uses 250hp. If you use sic though you will get hit once by the Sewer Syrup so don't Sic too far away (stand next to them)or you might waste a leeches TP move. The most annoying move Sewer Syrup does is digest and he does this alot. I used this tactic for 1 hour 15minutes and he finally dropped leaving me with 19xp, 12,000gil and a Jelly Ring ^^

Notes: Keep sneak, blink and stoneskin up at all times. Also try and stay out of yellow or red hp. Leeches don't aggro to low HP but just be safe and don't chance it. I also was careful where i rested and did not rest near a leech so i don't know if they aggro to resting.

Incidentally i did this as a 73 BST with +41CHR gear (i only missed charm once)

So, A friend of mine wanted his Jelly Ring. For those of you who are not aware, this is a great piece of PLD equipment. -5% Damage is great for almost any mob, much better than +3 or +4 VIT (usually). The mob that holds this ring is very difficult, its a Jelly around level 69, but it is still very hard. As usual, I do some research on whats needed to camp it and come across this sentiment:

Its impossible to kill this NM without a 67 RDM or BLM in a PT

I can understand why this might be true. The mob (Sewer Syrup) dishes out alot of dmg and can take alot of dmg. (The bsts reading this understand this concept very well) It also does a TP attack that does AOE dmg and 1 hit Crit dmg for around 500+ HP to a ~70 PLD.

We decided to try anyway and the only people available in the LS are 68 PLD 68 WHM 68 DRG 60 DRK. "No way!" I can hear most of you say, and that's what I thought too. I really wanted one of our excellent BLMs to get on... Alas, the traffic jam at the logon page prevented them.

The plan we developed was for the PLD and the DRG to use Spirits Within and Wheelin Thrust (ignores DEF) and the WHM would heal and DRK nuke as much as he can.

This plan, although cute, is not what worked

We got trashed and ended up Teleing out to save ourselves. We went back with a different strategy. No one would hit the mob but the PLD (cause melee attacks were worthless and only made the mob use TP faster), the WHM would nuke, the DRK would nuke, and the DRG would cast Dia. Thats right... just dia. (most of you know why anyway)

Guess what? We won. Very easily. I used electrum rings to bump my up to 170 and used 2 juices. Lumiere (my wyvern) healed the Tank and the WHM bust out with some ~400 Banish IIIs and Holy.

Damn Jelly had no chance.

Moral of the Story? Try something new. Make the whm nuke, make the melee heal... just don't make the DRK tank.

Well, I went back for my second chance and got the ring last night:

Party setup: Solo BST67

I drug him down to the leech area since they are the best pets down there and had at him. It took 2.5 hours to kill it, but at least I don't have to do it again. Probably would have taken me 2.5 hours to make an alliance for it anyway. ;)

If you're BST and interested in this, I'd say for various reasons BST67 is minimum to solo. If you want to make it a little less painful for yourself, go as a BST68 duo so the highest Leech are EM and it dies faster.

Soloed this today on my 2nd try as 73rdm/blm

The first time I fought him, I was /nin (only ichi) but ran out of mp very quickly, and had to escape out when he was at 50%.

This time was /blm. Wasnt really planning on soloing sewer itself, just to pop it. Happened to log in today and another group had wiped and CFH on him, so I waited for it to go unclaimed and engaged.

Strategy was basically like any other mob - melee with joyeuse + enfire (enfire hits for 27+ per swing) and keep recasting blink and stoneskin (blink saved me). I used Bio 2, Poison 2, Frost, and Shock on it for some extra damage. Drain was netting me ~275-300 hp every cast, and with haste I could reuse it every 43 seconds. Good damage and saved my *** a few times also.

Ended the fight with 50 hp, no mp, and convert @ 5 mins. It was very very close. Had to sleep a mousse add at the end of the fight, who killed me 2 seconds after I killed syrup (no mp left to sleep, warp, bind, heal, or wipe my nose) but I got the ring :D

Just did this with myself (63pld) and a galka 75 rdm/nin. I subbed rdm to keep myself sneak'ed up and galka did all the rest. I actually never engaged the mousses, as if i did the nearby bats would aggro me. i just sat there for 3 hours occasionally castin regen on him. When syrup spawned he just soloed him np whatsoever. Though it was a 15 min fight, he took dmg only maybe 2x in whole fight.... Besides the long spawn time this guy is piece of cake. If ur stuck, try doing what I did, shout for help offering reward. I did, and 3 hours and 60k later i got Jelly ring ^^

I helped a pld friend fight this NM and get his ring. This actually went a whole lot better than I had expected. Our party set up was PLD63, NIN70, RDM63, BLM58, and BLM63(me).
First we spent about 3hrs killing everything we could find, from the Mousse to the Haunts. Finally Mr. Syrup shows himself. The pld being excited pulled it rdm was d/c and hadnt come back yet and neither of us blm's had much MP, so that was a failed attempt. I also died that time good thing the other blm had enough MP to escape the rest.
The second attempt was more succesful. The RDM came back so we had full 5. So, we were fighting the NM not too far into the fight both us blm's went down. The nin was tanking it very good, they said it was down to about 1/6hp when the rdm went down. So now its the nin and PLD going at it against this thing. NIN still tanking, pld gets down to like 30hp+ and runs the wrong way gets haunt aggro, dies. At this point im thinking fight is over, but nin is still going at it strong even with the haunt aggro. Long story short the nin takes him down pld gets his jelly ring and it was a fun evening for me. We all hp'd it so that the ring would drop to the pld since nobody alive could raise, I think the nin killed the haunt too before using 2hr.

Did this last night for myself, 72PLD 70BLM 74DRK 68WHM 71BRD. Fairly easy just took forever to spawn other than that fight was super ez with a brd the whm did HexaStrike >> SpinningSlash for Light while BLM MB'd Flare or FirigaIII of course, like 2 bats and a mousse pop'd and aggro'd but was no big deal at all. Jelly Ring Yay!

What is about the lvl of this bad boy?...Can you kill with a full pt of 65+? Or ya need some 70's..? Anyways..i recomend for most PLDs to get this ring, it pretty dang good, though I wouldn't replace a Hercules Ring or Soil with it..Thought when I'm 66...I won't have any VIT+ in my rings..I guess Glutt will help, so oh well..

We camped at (I-11) for about 2.5 hrs and it pop finally.

Party setup is:
LV63PLD, LV60PLD, LV75BLM and LV44RDM

PLDs take turns doing "Cover" on BLM while he nuke crazy on the NM. RDM work as fuel tank and give "refresh" to everyone.

It went down in 30 secs :) and got the Jelly Ring!

Soloed it as 75Rdm/nin. killed the mousses at the corner space, and pulled the NM there. Killed it within 15min since the mousse havent respawned yet when I killed it.

Enfire causes more dmg on the NM than normal mousse which was surprising. Normally with my enhancing sword and dagger of trials I do 23 and 18 dmg with my enspell but on the NM it was like 48 and 37.

This NM is a little b****.
Camped for 3 hours and it finally popped.
The PT was me PLD 70, BLM 75, DRK 75 and WHM 75.
He finally spawns and we start to fight.
All is going good until about 50% HP when our BLM suddenly gets aggro from the 2 Haunts that sapwned and dies. So we had to take NM on with physical attacks aswell as hold off 2 Haunts.
We get it to about 10% HOP and I die but the WHM and DRK have full HP and can finish it np.
The DRK couldnt get hate so WHM went down but after doing a Spinning Slash > Hexa Strike = Light SC leaving the NM with like 1-2% HP. DRK on his own, 2 more hits and the NM is dead... what happens? 1 Haunt Stuns him while the other casts Quake... 550+ damage and the DRK dies.
Full party wipe with Sewer Syrup at 1% HP. -.-;

I call my LS to raise us then we zone the NM to the zone and all our BLMs nuked the f*** out of it and zoned out to reset hate. Fight took about 40 seconds with BLMs nuking with highest -ga spells.

In the end I got the Ring so meh.

My LS and I camped him, took about 3 hoursd total after killing everything in site, finally after losing a good chuck of people to sleep dep it spawned, it's fluid toss did 10-120 a shot and we were keeping up well after it reached 3/4 life mark we said ***** it two hour, so the sam chained with him self, I invinced, the drk went nutz and blood weaponed, and the mages that were left nuked the bejesus out of him. Needless to say fight done in 3 mins 100% drop I got the jelly ring all is good ^^ (73 pld)

killed this a week ago as a 64 rdm, with the help of a 75 rdm. we used a technique of bind, gravity, nuke, repeat. it died fairly quickly, probably much, much easier without melees causing it to gain tp. didn't take very long at all. watch out for the ghosts, as they will aggro your hp if you are too close.
