doued this NIN + RDM. his sleepaga2 and poison is EASILY dealt with. (think about it).
and he drops divine log somtimes to. id post SS but srry i dont use winodwer programs so no have the drop SS.
if he depops you need to wait about 30 mins or so for the saplings to repop then kill them again and he pops again. no need to wait the full window, saplings will repop about 30 mins or so.
What if it depops?
# Nov 17 2006 at 7:17 PM Rating: Decent
What if u wipe and he depops? do u have to wait 60-72?

Tonight I decided to see how far I could solo it. Only took it to 88% because he did Entangle as his first TP move, and 50 HP/tick poison on a NIN/WAR puts you in danger fast. After his first Sleepga II, he went for 2 minutes without touching me until the sleep wore, and I hadn't even thought to put on my evasion gear yet.

His TP moves are pretty nasty, but if the NIN is the only person in range of them and there is a mage that's good at removing status effects, this guy is a pushover. NIN/WHM/BRD party, and you've gotta be trying to lose this fight.

Hum, Well Pinecone Bomb[AOE] Does about 400+ DMG. He Spams Sleepga2, Not to mention the 50HP a tick w/ Poison. With a Few Stunners' he Can be Easy. But this Guy does not **** around. He pops when you Kill all the "Cherry's" or w/e there called. Anyways, This is not a easy fight at all 6-9 ppl w/ the right set up could kill this. PLD or NIN BLM BLM BLM WHM RDM BRD - Should be able to pull it off. Either way During the day he has Mass regen/ alot of HP. Be perpared to have a bumpy ride. Giving him TP can make the fight Turn Ugly fast.
Anyways Dont listen to this NIN about "oo this guy is a Push-over" He has never killed him.

killed it with 2x war/nin tanks. we needed a lot of curing though, he has some nasty moves. our ninja took 1400 dmg from a tp move at 95%, so thats how we ended up tanking.
2 Kills

Fairly, only death was our Blm (Me). Everyone had 300%tp at the start and we made light w/ Mnk and Bst I'd MB him for 1400 pull hate and kite him around the upper area where he spawns until nin could pull hate back. Stun is a *MUST* for sleepga II. If you do not use it and the whm gets hit accidentally the fight is over and you lose :P.

The only melee on him was the Nin to help build hate. We didn't want the monks to hit him repeatedly to give the mob TP which we were doing at the start when we ran into trouble. The other melees used worms for TP until @ 150%+ then made a sc which I'd MB. Our nin is awesome, basically our Whm's job was cure the other melee and paralyna the Nin. This fight is no laughing matter if you are unprepared.

This guy has an insane amount of HP, my Thundaga III mbs only did 5% or so on an unresisted one (1300-1500). We had to have me(74Blm/Whm) main heal abot 75% because we didn't know how much HP he had and the whm had burned 3/4 his mp.

Drops sucked, but it was fun, we got the next pop on him and got nothing on drops again lol.
Wow.......

My Ls just fought this guy. we got it down to 1% and we wiped.... The reason was that no one was listening and just did whatever. We did good in the begining but then someone died and everyone freaked out so the deaths started rolling in. I'm still not sure how we got it down to 1%, but w/e, we werent ready for this, and because of it we all died

What kind of person goes online to gripe about their LS's performance? Pathetic. Sure hope you aren't the leader.

Btw - we got it down to 1% because everyone didn't "freak out". Some of us actually did let the kiters do their jobs and got the hell out of AoE range. Unfortunately, when the remaining mage was out of mp with no way to rest, and the ranged attacks stopped doing damage, there wasn't much else to do but die.

HNM's are called that because they can and do kill alliances. Stick to JeJ if that thought unsettles you too much.
mnk power!

killed this thing last night, the pt set was made of 3 mnk/war, rdm/whm, rdm/blm and a brd/whm, while we were exping in KRT one of the mnks targeted this thing somehow, so we were like lets go kill it, the other mnk said we'll need nin tanks to kill it, but we wanted to take our chance, so we went up, killed the little cherry saplings, then it popped, once it popped the, we all had saved our tp and just started of with asuran fists then me and one of the mnks 2hred, a few more asuran fists flew in, the whole fight took around 5-7 min, was fun and close call but so damn worth it, crap drops but the excitement so worth it and we all got the title Mon Cherry ^_^

Killed this NM, 75Ninx2, 70+Mnkx2, 74rdm/nin...why he subbed nin I will never know, 73Whm/blm, 75thf/nin...the reason it says nin beware...I died!!! Paralyzga, Graviga, Pinecone bomb all take all shadows. even worse...there is an attack called Leafstorm which dispels everything including food and leaves you slow

If this Monster wiped out other parties but 2 SMN + 1 BST can do it, then I'll have to take this tree out of the ground. I have 3 SMNs who are in my LS and we go around killing things together. The Club this NM drops hasn't sold on Fenrir yet, excluding the purchases for 1 gil.

Yes this definitely does indeed drop Divine Log. It's a rare drop, I've killed it many times, and got my first Divine Log last night.

every 21-24 hrs, 6-8 cherry saplings spawn in the area up the stairs in the catacombs area of king ranperre's tomb. you will know you are in the right area because you will be back in the daylight. there will be armet beetles that aren't found in any other part of the tomb. in the back portion of this area, you will find the cherry saplings, which aggro to sound and are DC to a level 64. kill them all to spawn Cemetery Cherry, a Treant HNM. it used paralyzega, graviga, slowga, and sleepgaII. i was told it 2hr's, but i was caught up in buffing and debuffing and thusly didn't notice what the 2hr was specifically. it had tons of hp, and took a good 10 minutes to slay. also used normal treant moves constantly, like pinecone bomb (hit hard) and drill root (never went through blink)

pt setup was
75NIN x 2
75 RDM
64 RDM < yo^^
50ish WHM
67 WHM

we were never in any serious trouble throughout the fight. just be aware that it will cast sleepga constantly and therefore needs to be stunned or sleep will have to be cured off. watch out for armet beetles during the fight, which can aggro to sight. it dropped an ebony log, a rosewood log, and a petrified log. also, i got the "Mon Cherry" title for my incredibly sexy mithra RDM self :D

treant type NM, pops in the depths of king ranperre's tomb. i don't have the exact coordinates, but you will know you are in the area if you climb some stairs that lead to an aboveground area with armet beetles, tomb worbs, and cherry saplings. unsure of respawn time.
