On Christmas Eve I trioed Ose with pld62 (me) a thf75 a rdm75 and this is how we won...
When it popped nobody was camping so thf shoots it,and tanks while rdm heals and I just swing and miss...2 minutes into fight rdm sleeps it and me and thf pull Torama and attack to build tp,we kill and thief sata and again we go...after about 5 sleeps Ose is hittin thf i voke and 2hr,Ose at 5% 2hr down Ose slaps me thf 2hrs sata Ose down and Darkcloud recieves his Assault Jerkin

Solo'd with my 71 bst.about 30-40 min to kill. Only one party xping there so i used toramas. As long as you convert your pets b4 they die you are ok. must have got the lower capped nm, b/c the next day i fought him again and 2 min later was face down on the ground. whiskers only ; ;

How lucky I was yesterday! Currently DRG69, I decided to camp for the 1st time Ose with LS mates. We went all there and began to wipe all Toramas ('Tough' to me) in the room. After 2 hours, Ose poped in the clear room. We claimed it and pwned it (we were 10 lvl 60+). Guess what? We got the Assault Jerkin. I lot : 7 points... But my LS mates lemme get it ^^
Well I'm 1/1 on my 1st attempt camping Ose, I'm on a roll!

Me and a party were here not too long ago. We had Me(MNK 61) 2BLM and THF, NINand BRD. We just happen to see him and BAM. Our thf pulled him without noticing the name. At fist i was stressing a little bit. So we started to engage him. All i did was miss and when i did hit it was for less than 20dmg. So with that going on the BLM's slept him and started to use AM. With this going on i decided to start boosting up for Chi Blast. This worked out very well, i was doing 400-500 dmg. About 5 mins later we only had his life down by half, then a couple lv 75's come strolling by. We pummled it after that, but the sad thing was no drop. I was kinda dissapointed, but that's how it is in this game.

I'm 3/6 on helping people kill ose. Got the drop myself and sporting it now on Leviathan server.
We made sure to do everthing everyone else stated below. Killed T's like crazy, ose pops 2 hours later and we take it with a 74 Drk. 74 Thf,70 War, 71 RDM. Thf gets last weapon skill to finish it and it drops. Next time it comes up he kills it agian and guess what ^^ yup it dropped. Thanks to Thunderkatz, we owned it. Thanks for the AJ guys ^^

im a 75rdm/37 w/e on the remora server ive solo'd this sob about 4 times never got AJ >.< god i hate this guy. i even killed it with my 75whm and 75 thf friends. still no drop >.> go me. <sits in labirynth for another 2 hours to get his woman her moldy earring> /sigh
i spent 8 freakin hours on this git...2AM it popped, no drop...my LS stayed there til 2AM just for me and the git didnt even drop the jerkin..im tellin ya, SE <3 to torture us...

this is not a 2-8 hour spawn.... i was there for 9 hours killing Torama befor this <******* sword> finnaly poped. took it down with me (drg65/whm) a rdm75/nin and a 70 bst/whm. got an Ose Wisker <All Right!> (-_-) better luck next time i guess

Finnaly got it. was exping in Bibiki bay and my rdm friend sends me a tell, /t Thisisi Ose pop. so i run my *** over there and 20 minutes later i get my *** jerkin. 1/4 on Ose ^^
Our HNMLS members were bored and decided to go hunt Ose and Moldavite. We just killed him on Seraph, Ose whiskers drop. Ose himself, if you have 10 people over 65 there is no challenge at all, if you plan on camping him just make sure to bring a paralyna, as his paralyze is very nasty. Make sure your tank (if PLD) is of somewhat higher level, due to Ose's high physical attack on level 65's. Hi ToD on Seraph is 12:50 A.M. We also killed Moldavite 40 minutes later if you're going to be in the Labyrinth area. Good luck hunting this guy, be prepared when you do^ ^
Just killed this guy while partying, alliance with the group next to use so it was 12 people 60-62 killed it pretty easily. jerkin dropped, but I didnt need it so passed. Grats to Squalllf for his new jerkin ^^. 1/1 I guess.

Not even close, he said for Warrior. Hauby rips apart AJ. STR+5 Att+10 Acc+10 > Acc+3 Att+18. I'm working on getting an AJ because I DONT have a hauby now, if I get it back the AJ is going in storage for a long *** time, cuz I dont think I'll be lvling DRG or THF anytime soon.
ose's a 2 to 8 hour lottery pop. Best way to get him to spawn is just keep the torama's dieing. Make sure u got a thf with you for th2 or good luck on drop lol

although one time he did take 9 hours to re-pop from the time of death but that's rare to see him take so long with ph's being constantly killed.

killed this 2 times with my LS friends but no drop.. {/sigh} i think it repopped in 2-3 hours^^

Ose is just like any other coeurl mob except for 3 differences: he has a lot more hp, and stronger attacks than the Placeholder mobs. Finally, the biggest most threatening difference (if you are soloing ose) is his normal attacks have a slight chance of paralyzing you as an additional effect (anywhere from 1/5-1/10 chance). Therefore, make sure you ALWAYS have blink up when soloing, and if you are in a party, make sure your WHM (or anyone subbing WHM)is always paying attention, a bad timed paralyze can devastate your tank.

Was exp'ing here today. Our whm decided to have us allianced with a party next to us to kill it. Well, was a long battle, but we got it down. Jerkin dropped. Everyone agreed to just free lot. Well, everyone did, our whm got a 201, I got the highest with a 918. 'All right!' I said. Suddenly, I see on my screen, Lonn (our whm) receives Assault Jerkin. I say, Wtf? I scroll back up, I had a higher lot. What happened? Yeah, whm made himself quarter master after I got highest lot, stole it, and warped himself out. Tried to call a GM, though they probably can't do anything about it. I hear more about GM's not doing jack, than doing the right thing. Oh well.... Lesson of the day? Don't trust crappy whm's, especially Lonn of Ifrit server.
yea, my pt killed him when i was around lvl 62(DRG), and i lost lot by 34 points to the RDM... i was so upset, and still am ;_;

Ouch sorry to hear that man. The drop rate sucks and WHM doesn't even need it.
No offense, but there's nothing you can do, or the GMs could do. The best youc ould do is go to Lower Jeuno and make sure everyone knows what happened, honestly. In this game, most people don't stab eachother in the back because reputation matters. A lot.

Sorry to sound like a n00b and take this thread a different direction, but what does it mean "he made himself a quarter master"? I'm unfamiliar with the term.

a quater master gets ALL of the items, instead of it being pooled and available for lot. the basis of it is that the quarter master decides who gets what.

GM contacted me, and asked what the problem was. "I'm sorry, but that is the risk you take when partying." Just as me and my ls expected, nothing happened. GMs are totally useless, they allowed something like this to happen and let people walk away scott free. What really ticks me, and probably other people off is, that if a jerk like Lonn called a GM on us, NICE, DECENT people, they'd be all over us in a second. All in all, I've lost all trust and confidence in what GMs, and even SE can do to help us. Lonn, you greedy [******* Sword], you got away. ::claps:: You're luckier in a sense that I'm not a person like you, and would never do something like this to anyone, even you. -_-

And yet, when the GMs do the opposite - listen to every user's complaints and ban/warn/suspend users every time they were told to - there would be far more complaints about GMs being too quick to judge and too harsh.

there are crooked gms too. Like one that got fired for taking jp players to areas and helping them cap all their skills. So now our server has a few Uber-jp players running around

What's the spawn time for Ose assuming Toramas are being killed constantly? Ive seen people say 2 hours while others say 7 hours. Also, whats would the spawn time be if you're the only party there? Everyones going to Bibiki Bay now..

Well I was partying as a level 62 Ninja yesterday at this place and Ose popped. Another pt was there also so we decided to alliance him. Well they say Ninja tank and Pld back up just in case. I tanked him once before and died so I kinda scared. So they say pull and nobody moves so I run up and Provoke it and man did it love me cuz it did not wanna stop trying to him me lol I can say i honestly tanked this guy easily with the Whm and Rdm help keeping Silence and Paralyze off me and yep dropped the Assualt Jerking. So im 2/2 on this guy of course I passed so the Drg can get it but my Blm casts lot and gets it.... *sigh but anyways good times. Oh and my 2 hour did 933 at the end^^.

Camped for 7 hours, no spawn. Totally ridiculous. There was 3 parties there the whole time and not a sign of him.
Pretty aggrevating when every time I partied there he spawned but no one ever pulled him because everyone was scared to die.
So many people told me it's pretty much guaranteed to spawn every 2-3 hours assuming Toramas are being killed, but they can go ***** themselves.

a drg friend in my LS wanted the assault jerkin. i promised id help him with it on saturday. well. saturday came and we went to camp it with 6 ppl. in the end we were left with 70drk/thf 66drg/rdm and me a 75blm/whm.
ose got owned. last time i lost to him i underestimated his abilities. and got silenced and paralysed. i was prepared this time.
killed it in little over 15 mins and the dragoon my friend zhitobud now has the assault jerkin i told him id help with :)

was expin in Onzozo and this thing popped, took with a alliance of 11 ppl around 59-63 i think. fight went ok, no deaths, then dropped 3x lightning xstals 1 coeurl meat ose whisker and assualt jerkin. in the end after the lotting frenzy i got ose whiskers and the SMN got jerkin (lol?) someday i will return for Ose, cuz my next main is DRG. :P
