I camped this yesterday as a 62THF/31NIN and killed it in about a minute or less. Hit it with a couple acid bolts and 2 1k Danving Edge's and it was dead. Just got 3.5k and a cobalt jellyfish. Mugged for 500+ gil.

Alrighty, stayed there for a 2nd pop. Was alone the whole time. Seems like his pop time is about 90mins to 2hrs. Killed him just as quick. He dropped the Ampulla this time along with another 2.4k in gil and a Cobalt Jellyfish. The Holy Ampulla currently goes for 100k on Siren as of right now. Happy hunting for everyone. ^^

Just killed this punk not even 5mins. ago. Took 2hrs to pop. Owned him as a Taru 70MNK. Auto Regen doesn't even affect you if you can do enough dmg to him quickly. Dropped 2.4k in gil and a stupid Cobalt Jellyfish.

2/3 on Holy ampulla drop. Both times I got the drop, it aggroed me first. Don't think that has anything to do with it, but oh well.

Well, I finally have a happy NM story.
Was heading to Norg to pick up soem katanas for NIN and decided to swing by this guy's spawn and kill one round of Spring Sahagins to see if he'd pop.
First repopped, another spring. Damn. Second popped... holy sh*t, it's him.
I had 100+ TP built up on my 60DRK/30THF already, so started off with a nice 850 damage guillotine, then proceeded to drain, aspir, absorb-tp, and smack him until about 60%, pulled another guillo, repeat, Last resort + guillo'ed him to almost nothing left, then a couple more smacks and he was mine. (I ignored the link while he was whiffing on me.)
I prayed, and holysh*t, I got the ampulla. This is a cool 200k on Ramuh right now I think, but I'd rather use it on WHM. My first good experience with an NM.

For everyone else, I recommend what I do with most NMs now. If you're in the area, just kill off the PHs once and wait for a round to repop. as 61WHM/30BLM he destroyed me (i was wearing mostly melee gear and had STR 43+23)
his auto-regen basically mitagated all my attacks which averaged 90 per hit. Used WS 5 times for 300+. His hits were doing about 30-55 on me
His hp never dropped below 70%
My advice, for fellow White Mages... use MP only for Stoneskin, Paralyze, Dia II and Choke (or whatever you prefer). Paralyze works well on him, and Dia II coupled with Choke will help bring down his regen. Also, grab a DD, because well, you're gonna need some strong damage to keep his health down and not climbing back up so damn fast ><

Killed today, pretty easy fight, had lvl 52 npc with me, I was 60 nin/war. After we built tp, did a 968 Blade: Jin and sc with npc, then he was at 28% or so, and did casted curga 3 times lol, but still went down after that. Got him with a link too, killed that first. Niether of them hit me =D

I tried camping this guy months ago when Ampulla was selling for like 110k, but now it's down to 60k, and it's easier to just go kill Goobbue Gardeners in Zi'Tah for two or three of their Tree Saplings, which are currently selling for 25k - 30k each, and just buy the thing on the AH. I guess SE finally kicked out the two Chinese bots that were camping it continuously, because the price dropped 50k in just a couple of weeks. Only North Americans are camping it now (I don't think the Japanese care about camping it, and the French don't really know about it yet).

I was camping Masan for the pigeon ruby when someone ran a train buy me and i see the nam wuur. So i come here and see that it only lvl 46 so i run and pull him from the train. I take him to Norg zone and begin to fight. im 74 brd/nin all i needed was paeon x2 and i never droped under 1000 hp but it toke a long time like 45 min for me to kill because of his auto regen.
I used two dagger Heatsnatcher latent still on and Taillefer's. my Dagger skill was only 100 and i got 10 skill lvls for the fight to bad he didnt drop. But it was a fun fight.

i just seen someone saying they put him to sleep ..i dont think you can sleep this nm i tryed as my 61 rdm with elemnt seal + sleep2 and nothing and i dont think you can silence it as well as i tryed over 10 timer per spell and as for where he pops am not 100% sure but i think he poped in H-9 H-10 for me hope this helps you git this fun nm Good luck on the drop

Just killed this nm i was doing my nin quest and agroed him so i tryed to kill him My God hes got a ton of life and his auto regen dosent help at all i got him down to 1/2 life befor i was out of mp and had to convert just as fast as i can convert and heal his life is back to full ..so then i called a ls friend 60 drg me and him killed it with np got the drop and gill 200k i think i can solo it if i was subing nin with 2 swords rdm61//blm30

Just got him, was fishing for Nebo's but decided to give him a go. He popped about after 10 minutes. Unfortunetly his Auto-Regen was too much for me (Taru 63 blm) and .. i got a link. Invited a random guy that was leveling his npc. I couldn't have solo'd it I don't think. Killed him with the help, but only Pantam Kelp ; ;

When the servers came back up after today's update, I decided to get myself one of these since I'm too cheap to buy one of my own and WHM71, 36 levels past the Holy Ampulla. >.> Anyway... I killed placeholders for about an hour before he popped, and then went to work with my trusty Darksteel Maul... problem is, his auto-regen is so wicked and my DD capability so abysmal that I quickly realized that I'd run out of MP long before I wore his HP down to 0. I asked my LS for help, switched to Lilith's Rod for the Aspir effect (which also killed my DD so much that within maybe two minutes he auto-regenned back to 100% from 75-ish), and went into standoff mode: keep Stoneskin up and hold him there until I got a DD there to help me. I wasn't hurting him and he wasn't hurting me, and with the rate of the MP drain effect on Lilith's Rod, I probably could've stayed there until Wurr was out of MP. Once a friend got there, it was easy, and I got the drop, though I was on /THF at the time with TH1. Yay.
The moral of the story is: make sure you hit for more than my 30-50 per hit if you want to take this NM.

I was looking for a Treasure Chest and found this game. Easil soloed as 66 RDM/33 WHM (although, it aggroed me and Alla says this guy is level 46... weird, should've have aggroed).

Just a friendly tip, though you posted this 20 days ago, I think everyone could use this tip.
When you have an NM, and a link, unless you are ABSOLUTELY unable to take both at the same time...
/attack the NM, and when you have TP, use weapon skills on the other mob. You'll keep your claim, and still kill the add-on.
I myself have had way too many mobs stolen from me to not use this method.
Happy camping.
Add on to that make sure you circle the main mob so as the other mob is right behind it so as in it looks like this (ADD) (MAIN MOB) YOU that way you can block, or if your me Counter the other mob and are able to use your Ws's on it without turing or misfiring. Also if the link is mage or rng move your mob closer to it so that you can then do what i said above

Today I decided to camp it again but I had to help my mother, so I went downstairds, came back and the NM was attacking me with a friend of him o_O I attacked it, but since I'm extremely careful I decided to kill the Spring Sahagin first because there was nobody else there. When the Spring Sahagin was dead, a 75 NIN came and claimed the NM although I told him that I didn't need any help ;_; He didn't respond and walked away when he was finished.
7 hours for nothing, awh >< I hate this NM ><

after camping this thing for about 4 hrs getting one pop for a friend and he droped so she was happy. the next 2hr point came and a 70 some drk comes around and after 10 mins one of my friends /ts me and makes me miss the pop >.< i was so pissed i almost killed my friend. o and yes this NM is a pain in the ass if ur not a 55+

Killed him twice today, first time Enspell+Hornetneedle+Haste and Gust Slash spammed then slept him mid-casting when his AI kicked in at 15% HP for him to Cure IV, then Chainspell-Thunder2'ed.
Went to do LS run versus Garuda Prime.
Running down to the Silver Beastcoin door again, checked to see if he was up. He was, and he aggroed me (leads me to believe hes about 50ish, not 46), I pulled him a to a sahagin-free tunnel right there and began. Let me say something, most monsters (usually excluding HNM and sky stuff) have an MP bar like players do. They also have set HP bars too (Apple Pie found the HP bar count for like every mission NM, like 5-1 Archmage at ~11k HP).
Hornetneedle+Haste+Enthunder and spamming Gust Slash overcomes his Auto-Regen. Didnt bother to blind or slow, paralyzed him and tried silencing him, but hes unsilenceable. I knew I wasnt going to beat him unless I chainspelled or tried an MP bar trick, I instead started to spam Energy-Steal/Drain and Aspir.
-He will run out of MP!!-
He ran out of MP and I finished him with a Gust Slash.
Only dropped Ampula the first time, but I got a nice Bastore Sardine both times! Drops 2,400 gil exactly both times.

area (h-8) there are 2 Spring Sahagins. Their spawn time is 12mins. he is a lottery pop from these. i got him to spawn in about an hour. im 63rdm. this guy takes forever to kill if you arent a good dd. if you dont do enough damage his auto regen will keep him full health. i was using my dagger like i do all fights but his auto regen was too much, had to switch to sword. finished fight with 600hp and 150mp. still had convert. with phalanx up he still did like 5-15 damage a hit. sadly after a loooong 20min fight(i like dragging fights out), all i got was 2400 gil and a bastore sardine ; ; im actually farming this for a friend of mine, guess ill be here a while. /sigh
PS tried the poison trick but he never cast poisona :(

yeah the poison thing worked well. Instead of his usual cure 3 or 4 not sure... he uses casting turn on poisona.... so i'd say to solo safely youd want 55-58 DD or 60-65 mage
at 64 he wasnt much trouble just a long fight...

so im thinking he cant be silenced...

im levelling in I-9 off sahagins then suddenly im about to attack this mofo luckily a 68 bst friend of mine happened to be there and partied with and he brought his mindgazer pet which hits the nm by 243 a hit, to end it all the nm is dead before i know it and he gave the drop to me and he kept the pamtam kelp ^^
can a 52mnk/war take it? o and ima galka if that would help me any

Can this NM be silenced?
killed it easy at 63 - raging rush for 960; he does have close to 3k hp to it did take some time. he loved to spam dia 2 and other enfeebles a lot

Was farming Spring Sahagins for the Mermaid Head item for the Mermaid Ring quest, when I get aggroed by Wuur and get a linked Spring Sahagin. I didn't know Wuur popped around here. I fought him as a 55NIN/27WAR. The link and himself spammed dia II, banish II, and curaga II. Killed him at about 127/1101 HP left. Dropped 2,400 G and a bastore sardines. (Woo~ I killed the bastore sardine NM!)

just killed him and got drop at first kill

Soloed him 2days ago at 56RDM took 45min cuz he kept spamming poisona. Easy if u keep all DOTs that u can on him. Got 2400g and the Holy Ampulla first time.... Happy Hunting :D
My nin friend in my ls was campin for the mermaid ring drops, while camping he faught this guy a buncha times and got like 4 drops. 2 in one night. He was i think lvl57 nin/thf... Pretty lucky i'd say since i was crafting then he was like "Boo-ya, got that sh*t"

He's given me some trouble as an RDM60 because of his auto-regen and Cure IV/Curaga II. I find the best way to kill him is to poison him every chance you get- Sandcomber will usually waste his casting turns on Poisona.

it dropped 2400G and a smelly "Cobalt Jellyfish"
Fought him last night as lvl 57thf/28nin. I really wasn't prepared for that fight, cause he very nearly killed me. Next time I'll be sure to bring a xbow and bloody bolts. Think it'll also help if I wait till lvl 60 for Dancing Edge.
Fight took about 12 mins, and 40-some utsusemi. If you have a way to silence him, I can see how he'd be a cakewalk (mb bring a rdm or whm partner).
At least I got the Ampulla on the first try, yar!

I fought this guy last night as a Level 51 NIN/THF, but only got the Bastore Sardine. I did get 43 exp, though. So I guess that would make him DC to me, maybe?
Offtopic, Easy Prey. I was a few exp points away from my level a while back and went to kill EP's for 30-60 exp. DC is 60-100, EM 100 when soloing. lv 43-45 perhaps?

i beat this NM as a 62 DRK/THF with no difficulty. two guillotines and numerous crits took him out in short order.
dropped 3712 gil and pamtam kelp.
i'd estimate his level around 45-50

I just solo'd this as a 63/31 Rng/War. It didn't stand a chance, barraged for 1000+, eagle eye shotted for 1000+, sidewindered for 2000+ and it was dead. Dropped the Holy Ampula, dunno how much its worth. I picked this up on widescan and ran there as fast as possible.

so me and some friends were camping this NM, in the hopes of getting me a Holy Ampulia. Followed the directs as listed here, but sat there for about an hour, and it did not appear. I don't think it is camped very heavily, as there are never any in stock on AH, so is the spawn directions correct? and how long until it spawns?

I have a 65 (I think at the time) RDM friend that killed this with some minor trouble. It pops from Spring Sahagins.
From the Yuhtunga zone, turn left into the first room, and into the next- stick left until you drop down into a large room with Spring, Lake, Pond Sahagins. Once you drop, rather than staying left (for the Utsusemi quest), continue straight across the room and exit through the only other path (as opposed to the one with the Ornamented Door). At the end of that path, you'll be in a small room with 2 Spring Sahagins and nothing else, this is where it spawns. Straight across from this room is a ledge which leads down to a path which you follow to the unnamed door to Norg.
Not sure what level it could be since I haven't fought it by myself. The RDM had a link with a Spring Sahagin.
