Did this fight with my LS last Thursday.
We did 7 fights, of which only one Avengers dropped. >.<
Our setup was overkill but hey, we have a lot of members that are usually down to help out.
Tank PT:
PLD/WAR x2 Tanked Bomb Queen, just traded hate back and forth.
WHM/BLM
RDM/BLM
BRD/WHM Ballad, Fire Carol, Barfira & Barvira
SMN/WHM Aerial Armor, Stoneskin
DD PT:
WHM/BLM Barfira/Barvira
RDM/BLM
MNK/NIN
MNK/NIN
WAR/NIN
RNG/NIN
DD PT:
RDM/BLM

BST/(NIN or WAR, comes as both, don't honestly remember)

SAM/THF (The 2 /THFs helped the PLDs with hate control)
We also had 3 more people that came to help out. They just sat in a PT (I believe RDM WAR MNK) and killed any repops.
Basically what has been posted is very true. This is an incredibly easy fight if the summons are killed
immediately. Our Melee were instructed to save TP and unload on the summons, and just beat away at the Bomb Queen, basically letting it die when it died.
Having all of the Fire Resistant spells helped a lot. None of his -Agas that got through hit for any decent damage, and we were never in any trouble.
Pretty sure this fight can be done safely and easily with much less people if they are careful and are able to kill the summons quickly.

First off, I'd like to list the pop items because there always seems to be some confusion about this ; ; , then I'll list other info to help out as well (btw, my linkshell did a few battles with this NM a couple of days ago, so I know for a fact this info is correct :P ):
Spawned by trading: 3 Bomb Queen Ash and 1 Bomb Queen Core to the ??? at I-10
The NM summons 3 bomb NMs which explode and respawn every 10 seconds: Bomb *******, Bomb Prince, and Bomb Princess.

You need 3 Bomb ashes that drop from Volcanic Gas and 1 bomb core that drops from Volcanic Bombs. P.S. go bst!
Did 5 runs today.
Bomb princess and Bomb prince always used self destruct and usually did so within minutes of spawning.
Bomb Queen can cast spells such as Fire IV, Firaga III and its highly resistant to stun.
What we used was an add party to take care of the BQ pops. Hope this helps some people in future runs :)

The Prince and Princess the Bomb Queen spawn is immediately after you kill them. This is not to be taken lightly, you'll all wipe if you can not kill the Prince and Princess ASAP.
The trick is to set up a boom squad party. I'd go 3 or 4 blm's and a brd or rdm refreshing their mp. They'll cast Firagra II or III a lot. You want to kill them ASAP.
But what about keeping hate away from the blm's from the Bomb Queen herself? You'll have a seperate party with a thf and then a pld or nin tank. You'll want a theif for even better hate control so the blm's can keep up the Firagra II or III.
I'd say you should have at least 9 players. At the very least 9. To be save go a full 12. All at least 68+.
One party should be set up like a normal exp party. The other party is a healer, 3 or 4 blm's and a brd or rdm. Keep the XP like party on Bomb Queen detail, they do not attack anything else. The blm's take on the prince and princess.

my Hnmls took Bq down tonight almost died at 1 point cause nin went afk, -.- i had to tank DRG/war (not tank material) our party set up wuz drg,nin,whm,blm,war, and rng btw we got claws woot!!! yay /hurray

Well, my brother was fighting the Bomb Queen, and as you may know it rapidly summons the Bomb Prince and Princess. Well, all of a sudden rather than summoning them, it summoned two "Bomb *******"s. They both checked Impossible To Gauge and were much stronger than the others. They wiped with a full alliance after they popped. Look out. -_-;;

i was wondering if the babies could be sleept.
if so, why not sleep 4 or 5 then get 3 blm to firga3 them all at once XD save alot of mp i htink and posibly stop them from spawning, i was wondering if a full alliance 70+ could take it on with a good chance of surviving (generealy)
im interested in getting the ring, but do not want to get 18 people or more killed cause i want some ring >_>;

we did this wirh paladin tanks and had everyone but the tanks and rng use weapon skills on baby pops. of course barfira is a must at all times and stonskin for the mages. what helped out a lot and sped things up was firaga it would knock babies down to half health and do good dmg on bomb queen. yes you can stun bomb queens magic spells but cannot stop spawns. hope this helps have fun

I got 1 Bomb Queen Ash dropped from Volcanic Gas. Would anyone suggest me how much should i put it on Bazaar, Thank you ^^

WOW after reading all this i was skeptical on if i would get drop. I just did this with ls 5 kills on Bomb Queen and 3 of the 5 kills we got Avenger's :)

ok this NM is force spawned. you spawn it by trading 3 bomb queen ash and 1 bomb queen core. you can get these by killing volcano gases or from buying them from bazaar's they CANNOT be placed on ah.
ok so now you have the items now to get to her. enter from the western most yhotar jungle entrance (forget its pos) you should see old opo-opo in that area your enter from. anyways use powder and oils and follow the path til you reach a tunnel. hug the left wall until you are out of the tunnel and you are in a big open area with a lava pit beneath you. (coffer spawn is on your right) make a right and hug the right wall til you see a room with a lava pool in the centre and there are hekeyes and volcano gasses in this room. waste them and trade the core and ashes to the ???. ok she will spawn.
now the fight. Divide your melee into 2 groups ninja, thief and everyone else. the ninja and thiefs must NOT engage the children. everyone else should. her children have like 1500 hp max. so killing them is easy. also bomb queen cannot be stunned to dont even bother. ok well her children like to pop 15-20 seconds after they pop so you must kill them fast cause they can do a good 500 damage with +99 fire resistance so its best to kill them. have your whm cast barfira and your brd cast Fire carol (is that the actual name?) anyway raise your fire resistance to as high as you can. bomb queen likes to spam her chi;ldren to pop so always change targets asap. bomb queen has a TON of hp, im guessing 30k or so. but its not hard to bring her down if you take out her children whenever they pop. Ring is 100% drop, avengers is 20% and either bomb queen ash is like 1% drop she doesnt drop it.
she can pop again 15 mins after her TOD so sit there and heal up, just remember to kill the gasses and hecteyes in the area to prevent adds. i suggest an alliance of 70-75 x 12 at least. have 2 ninja tanks a thf and a few blm and other job names i listed above. not much to it if you have the right people.

We fought her last night 4 times. Shes not hard to hit but the beeeotch has tons of HP. Its suggested that melee do not waste too many WSs on her or risk pulling hate. Most WSs should be saved for the children she spawns.
Overall, was not a difficult fight, just gotta pay attention.

Hmm! Anybody who's done it, can you say how often she drops Bomb Queen Ash? Hope it's a 100% drop, means more pops and more rings. =)

In Strategy guide, it says Bomb type monsters are weak to fire...and when we fought Dark Spark (bomb type NM) lvl 75 JP blm was using fire IV it and blowing it away...hmmm
I know its against popular belief, but bombs are classified as Arcana. Arcana is WEAK to fire. It doesn't make much sense to me why you would cast Fire spells on a Fire creature, but the arcana thing does make sense. For the most part, bombs are classifed as Arcana. There are the few Bombs out there are are NOT weak to fire; ie. Bomb Queen.

I wouldnt say that. I did a round with her last night and Fire spells would hit with no resistance. aga's and Fire 3 would all land with good damage. I think I even hit over 1000 with Firaga III on her a few times. It doesnt make sense but its true. This bomb is weak to fire...
Think of it this way, if youre a giant sac full of gun powder and gasoline, youre going to avoid matches.

The Ring is a Guaranteed Drop; the Avengers are not. In ten straight runs we only saw one pair.
