Yeah, so I got bored and decided to go kill this dude for the axe he drops (not that I'll ever use it). Killed the 3 scorps in his room and next pop he spawns right on top of me. Took him down with about 30 pet swaps.
The only danger in this is charming the raptors if you don't have enough CHR and just plain dodging aggro. Once you let a few pets die off though aggro is easily avoided. BST/NIN btw.
No claw :(

Well, I'm on my way to Nightmare Bats to see if I can get myself some Dragon Blood when I see this guy. I'm BLU/NIN, so I figure "Why not give it a shot?" It was a rough fight, but I ended up getting him down to 55%, and I probably could have kept going, but at this point, I had 7MP. Long story short, I died. Could have killed him if I didn't run out of MP, so I'd say maybe with some Yag drinks, or duoing with a RDM, it would have been done.

Just Soloed this babyas a 75 nin/war yesterday he put up a very good fight ws cold breath does around 500 dmgand goes through shadows earther pounder about 128 eats shadows Wild rage kills all shadows and does around 100 dmg No drop but hoping for better luck next time. There's a safe spot where u don't arrgo bombs on one side before the tunnel to Lindworm also where u won't get arrgo if u kill PH before NM. Takes about 12 minutes for a ninja to solo. Suggest Antidotes maybe use food I didn't though.

Killed it recently, and to re-confirm for anyone who has doubts, he does still drop a V Claw. ~ Duo'd with a NIN/WHM (myself on RDM/BLM). ParalyzeII and SlowII mess this thing up, and i imagine BlindII would really help lower its 'allready low' accuracy.

Just duod the other night, myself as 75 Blm and 75 Nin. We had no problem at all, it almost never got through the ninja's shadows and didn't do too much damage through it's TP moves. That is the key to winning this fight, is having as few melee as possible, and not giving him TP to use on people.
I just enfeebed the mob a bit, and did some DoT to him, including Frost Bio 2 and Poison 2(which always got resisted) and the Ninja just wore him down over time. Didn't take long, and we pwnd it hard core! Got the Lohar for my warrior, was good stuff! GL

Just solo and killed it as THF/NIN, was FUN fight. I just no engage and only range attack on it, when get TP100 just engage and WS, do it again and again. Took me like 40min to kill. It miss me alot, my Evasion skill is 284+27 ( Boxer Mantle, Mst.mitts and Evasion torgue ).

I tried to solo him today as a 75 summoner, only got him down to about half HP. Eclipse Bite was hiting for about 700 dmg. If I had brought more drinks, maybe I would have won, hard to say. I may try again once I have more merits and better gear, cause the placeholders are too weak. All I had on me was 1 Yagudo Drink & Astral Flow. Teamed up with a War, Thf & Rdm after I died to kill him. No drop of V. Claw. Thanks for the fun, Rogue, Roc & Kyow. ^^

Just killed this thing today it wasn't an easy fight but it wasn't hard. Killed it with a 75NIN/THF and 75RDM/NIN(me) he does paralyze a lot but not so much aoe and you can land enfeebs on him really easy, again he wasn't super easy but he wasn't hard you just have to make sure and not mess up too much.

My LS got word that this guy was up, so we grabbed who we could and tried to take him down. Group was 75PLD/NIN, 75PLD/WAR, 75NIN/WAR, 75THF/NIN, 75WHM/BLM (me). We managed to get him down to 9%, but we eventually wiped. A big part of our problem was simply that we were giving him too much TP. Myself and the PLDs being the only healers, and with no Refresh... the TP attacks owned us. His Numbing Breath would do about 300 or so damage, and his Cold Breath did about 500. Earth Pounder was fairly weak, but stripped shadows; same with Wild Rage. I had Reraise III up, but used it shortly after dying in the middle of the fight. I didn't put it back up after reraising because I was trying to keep the remaining people alive, so when we wiped we had to call another WHM out to raise us. Before he got there though, 3 JP NIN/WHMs came along and killed the thing, so we didn't get to try a rematch. :/

Easy fight. I only got hit a couple times from AoE w/e pounder. Turned around to stop giving it tp so whm could recover MP for haste, protect, w/e. Overall easy fight just have to be on the ball, and keep debuffs on it.
Whm, Gwendy, did a good job of flashing after pounder move so I could recover shadows.

i sent out garuda for pred claws once in a while, and carby to hold out until bst can find a new pet
was an overall fun fight
the bst tried to solo him before i came, he got it to half then aggro (he coulda done it)
then he reraised, invited me, and i tried to do pred claws every minute or so, but that ended in failure and both of us dying, so the monk came after that
then we finally beat him, after many close calls and about 30-40 mins of work, but we did it :)

Duo'd this last night with a NIN. 75NIN/WHM and 70BST/WHM. The NIN (Kaouri) did great. I charmed and 2hr'd T Sulfur Scorpion and played pseudo-WHM with about 200MP. Tunnok got nasty when it had like 25% HP left and spammed a lot of skills, but nothing really major at all. No Venomous Claw, but I got the Lohar.
No real strategy here other than to just beat the NM up. The NIN kept Stoneskin up all the time to help with the damage from it's evil skills. I simply Paralyna'd, Erase'd, Regen'd, Barstonra'd and Cure'd every now and then while I left my Pet fight.
The fight didn't last too long. I didn't get a time on how long it took, but, after we killed him, we sat around for about 10mins thinking of something else to do, we walked out of Ifrit's to the OP in Yhoator, screwed around in Bastok gather some items, OP warped to Li Teilor and went to join some more peeps to fight Ancient Goobbue and I still had 1hr left on my 2hr. Ok, he definitely does drop the V-claw. We were on our way through Ifrit's Cauldron for ZM5 and saw this guy. We decided to take him out for fun and boom!... a V-claw drops. We were pretty shocked. Anyway, thats a nice mil for everyone after all is said and done.
75 MNK/NIN, 75 WHM/BLM, and myself 75 RNG/NIN trio this whenever he pops while mining, quite easy. Most BSTs attest that it is difficult to solo, hence, it will often be up unclaimed. 0/4 on V-Claw.

Word to the wise: If you have lots of melee on him, he spams WS like c-r-a-z-y, I was tanking as 74THF/37NIN and in a matter of about 15-20 seconds he erased my shadows with Earth Pounder, missed me once with Death Scissors, then immediately used death scissors again and destroyed me.
Someone with /whm is a must for paralyna, barblizzara would also help, cold breath did 500 damage to me @.@
He isn't all that hard though...he rarely got me with shadows down and my evasion is underleveled at 235, you just need some people who don't /panic under pressure.

You will be the only one hiting it so he won't be spamming WS's, just bring some juice to keep your MP up, Regen on, with Auto Regen should keep you pretty full all the time.
One question I do have though.... anyone know his pop time/conditions?

this scorpion is a baby... just killed him today only 3 ppl in pt.... 75NIN 75BST 71RDM. i took care of the bombs and meleed while the NIN tanked and RDM healed. took maybe 10 minuted to kill him was a joke.

Why does this axe blow so much considering its from a HNM? Has same damage/delay as kabrakans 10 lvls earlier.

i highly doubt TT can be solod by ninja/whm.
nin/whm, still no go. his breath shots are 500dmg a shot. earthbreaker from him takes utsusemi off, and sometimes goes for death scissors after. (sometimes). im a 75nin ive killed TT about 15-25 times. n odrop on v. claw.

Well we took this thing on yesterday while we were there helping my friend get his damp eye.
We watched as 2 BSTs got demolished by it along with their scorp pets then we allied with them after we raised.
Group was.

We did about 10% damage on this thing before the PLD was demolished by a WS and we escaped.
So 80-82 seems about right on to me. That said had we had a high lvl WHM then perhaps it would've gone quite differently.

We did about 10% damage on this thing before the PLD was demolished by a WS and we escaped.
So 80-82 seems about right on to me. That said had we had a high lvl WHM then perhaps it would've gone quite differently.

Yep,just that the drop rate is very low.I heard its much easier than serket and amikiri though,not sure if thats true
This NM drops Venomous claw too.

Tyrannic Tunnok is level 74-77, not 80-82. I'm 0/14 on Venomous Claw drop but a BST friend of mine got the claw first kill. It's an easy duo for MNK/NIN and WHM/BLM or RDM/WHM, and probably doable by a solo NIN/WHM if they can keep MP up somehow (the breath attacks are nasty, Cold Breath 500 nearly each time). Don't get hit by Death Scissors... it's not as bad as Amikiri but it almost 1-shots a hume MNK. (1532 first time, 1634 another, and 1300 range most other times, it depends on Sharp Strike)

hey i was doing summerfest mining and i had seen a 70~ +? Nin and Whm killing scorpions there for about 3hrs, well eventually i come by and he spawns, 10 secs later he the nin grabs it and the nin and whm took it together THATS IT! just a 70+nin? probably 75 and 70+whm? probably 75
i got killed by AoE three times since i was lvl 1 lol, so i kept coming back and it took id say 45 minutes

I was told that this NM also drops the Venomous

Uhh..... No. We took it down VERY easliy with 3 75 nin, 71 rng(I think O.o) a 71 rdm/whm, and me, 62(at the time) rdm/blm. He was very easy, but our nins did have alot of NM/HNM camping/tanking skill. Anyway, me and the other rdm just debuffed for the most part, with the occasional cure and nuke. Still, very easy.
