i saw this guy in west ronfaure and i was only level 8 and decied to attack it lol , i got slaughtered
i love to camp nm's and i recently heard of the 3 guys in outer ruins. so i go there and within 20 min the bomb king spawns in my face. i claim it and give him a painful death within the stone room.drop! yay^^.

I have killed the doplegangers and got the drop 6/6 times always droped for me ^^ and i didnt even have thf subed cause i got tired of lvlin the thing :P, killed the bomb king and got drop 3/4 times bomb ring sells for 20k lowest and 25k highest in AH on asura, cruel scythe sells 20-21k, spear sells for like 10k, also the spawns were always 8 mins apart, one time i camped them and they spawned like 6 times in a row(the doples)

Me and my friend just tried camping this guy for a while. I can confirm that there is a random spawn in one of the 3 rooms every 8 minutes of either Balloon, Doppleganger Dio, Doppleganger Gog, or Bomb King with Balloon being the most common, the respawn time is slightly longer after killing one of the 3 NMs. I was in there for about an hour before I saw my first NM pop, Dio- no drop. about an hour later Gog spawned and dropped Cruel Spear (my friend got the spear). another hour later Dio popped again, still no drop. about 45 minutes later there was another Gog, dropped the spear again, this time I got it. then the waiting started... 2 and a half hours without a NM pop then... BOMB KING, and no drop. the moral of this story, do not waste 6 hours camping this thing.

Its been taking quite awhile to get a spawn but i have 2 ps2s so i have one character in one room the other character in the other and a friend in the 3rd one. took about an 1 1/2hours just to get one spawn. Dio was the only one to spawn and no drop.. the thing is he spawned in the room that bomb king is supposed to spawn in acording to this site. anyway. anyway about an hour after i killed Dio i was logging off cuz it seemed hopeless. at about 10seconds remaining Bomb king Spawns right in front of me.. i freak out and stand up real quick own him real bad (only loosing 7hp) and i get the ring.
oh btw i keep updateing the stats so the no drop thing really dont make sence anymore but at the time it did. woot for 5 nm spawns in a row

Talk about the perfect spot for a ranger/theif to NM hunt and farm at same time!
I go in the ruins...do a widescan and seek out the balloon. After he is dead, head outside and kill all the crawlers in the area...and bees too. hey, the beehives rack up quick out there at 3500 a stack! go as far as the edge of the cliff and do a widescan....you never know when spiny spipi is gonna pop! then head back to ruins.....balloon is place holder for the three NM's in the ruins there...and they pop 8 minutes on the dot! this small bit of farming kills your 8 minutes. have fun!!

the Bomb Ring pictcher they have is wrong, i bought a Bomb Ring and equiped it, its the same picture as a Courage Ring or Sardonyx Ring, i know, cause i used to have both. the bomb ring became worthless as a MNK, no need for any HP at all, let alone more than i have. Think a 28 MNK/WAR could whoop Bomb King? i've got almost the best equip for my job/level

heh i went in there w/ my DRG lvl 32 b/c my friend wanted a cruel scythe as a wedding pressent and i didnt wanna buy for 10k and i found bomb king so i was like wtf? and i killed him in 3 hits but only got bomb ash :( then i found the NM War and had like 200hpleft and no drop :(

Campede him for 7 hour got nothing ... can anyone help me get 2 rings ... (Midgarsormr)

Spawn time in that room is 8 mins. Every time you kill something in those rooms of bomb king and the gangers, 8 mins a mob whether it be a bomb or an NM will spawn. NM spawns have a longer time period. I've stood in the center of the area near the main entrance with ranger subbed and just kept widescanning. It helps to have flee as well. So best bet is thf/rng.
Camped the 3 ruins nm's for a half hour before finding this NM. Killed him in a short time, taking minimal damage.

In the wild irl, females usually dominate over males. Dont know y the kiddies are super strong though O_O
What I want to know is why the Prince and Princess are stronger than the King. Seriously. Those kiddies could royally kick daddy's ***. ;)

Had to go to Windy, thought I'd visit the Outers. Found Bomb King after about 20 mins of killing things. 0/1 = Thanks for nuttin' oh wait, I lie, I did get some lovely Bomb Ash and a Bomb Arm ... nah, still thanks for nuttin'
Just killed Gog, thanks for the Revival Tree Root, will sell nicely ... /cry 0/1
I would give advice on how to do this properly, but if you're still looking for help, you best be reading these posts a little more slower. Drives me crazy to read half way through the posts messages like "HELP ME WHERE DOES IT SPAWN" when like the first post was the exact coords, and as if the picture didn't help out or anything. Those type of people should be sticking with there google searchs for answers!

Been here 2 hours, Balloons are spawning every 8 min on the dot. No Bomb King, no Gog or Dio. WTF .... i started on Windsday and watersday... whats up...

I was there for 3 hours today ... only for balloons all the time :( but good thing there was something good to watch at tv between every 8 minutes :)

Ok, I'm camping these on darksday....
I'm killing the placeholders and everything..
for like 4 hours. Not one bomb king spawn but
2 Dio spawns and 2 gog spawns. Is the bomb king the rare one? Or maybe they only spawned cause of "Darksday"? Because i though the dopplegangers were the rare ones. Well anyway can someone tell me which is the rare?..or if the day matters?..Thank you!

hes is 16-18, but hes a nm, so he is much harder than other 16-18 mobs. u should generally be 10 lvls over the low lvl nms to be safe.

i think i figured out the spawns of the NM's down here...
ya gotta kill the baloons for them to spawn (like everyone didn't know that), but i think that if anything spawns in the same room you killed the last balloon in, it shold be an NM...not 100% sure, but i've camped down here for a couple hours now and my theory is 5/5, got the ring twice, and the scyth once...hopefully more to come!

ring is a rare, so you can only hold 1. o.0
Boo! To all you people who say all the cardians in the rooms have to die. I found that if you just kill the place holder cardians (in each of the smaller rooms, usually higher lvl than normal cardians, I know this because normal card's take one hit kill at 27, others take 2)that will make baloons/bomb king/Dio/Gog spawn, whichever you're camping. It's true, they're spawn rate is usually about an hour, but maybe be earlier in some cases, just make sure you keep those placeholders dead!

I think I figured it out. Baloons in my experience only spawn in one of the 3 rooms and that is the NM that will spawn.
