I saw 2 notorious gilsellers in Davoi fighting this (they had probobly stolen it from some poor MNK). A RDM and a PLD (lvl 60+) were trying to take him down but they got links out the *** and they slowly died. I claimed it thinking it was that NM that dropped an Axe.
The fight wasn't all that bad but the guy had loads of HP. I had to repeatedly cast sleepga to handle the links.
It took me quite a few minutes to kill as a RDM73/BLM and once it died I was shocked to see, "Deathfrance gains 11 experience points."
So yeah, lvl 55 it is not, although it was about as strong as a lvl 55.

and saw this guy my friend <51 DRK> tried taking him on <cuz she thought his name was stupid ^^;>
it happend near the exit
he droped her to 70 hp before i even got there to watch <5 secs!!> hes that! strong
so anybody fighting him be careful

Actually, you will know that most people just Solo these NM's. Well, not really solo the NMs, but the Quest.
With any level job, you can just get to the place with sneak oils and prism powders and use a scroll of reraise. Pop the 2 NMs, Die, reraise and reinspect the tent. And that is it.

I'm a 55Thf/Nin on the Lakshmi Server, name is Malek if you ever need anything. To the point though I just did this fight last night with my static mnk and I wanted to give a tip on this mob in particular. He is fought for the Mnk AF2 (feet) and is paired with a Pld Orc as well (although he is a wuss compared to the mnk, our Rdm tried to sleep the Pld with a resist, and he bounced back and forth between our Rdm and Whm, with them both casting Blink and StoneSkin) this Mnk is "No Joke" Around 25-30% Hp he will pull Hundred Fists out, and it's gonna hurt. We had a setup of lvl 55 Mnk, Whm, Rdm, Thf, and a 53 Rng. Rng and I did our usual Piercing Arrow -> Viper Bite, the "instant" he fired his arrow for the WS the Orc threw up Hundred Fists and killed him in under 5 seconds. My Viper Bite didn't mean squat to him because by the time my macro had hit he had already halved the Rng's hp. When fighting this guy take extra care against him, once you start getting him down there "MAKE CERTAIN" the tank has aggro. If he happens to come running for a mage he'll decimate them before you can even realize it happened. After we took him down the Pld was a breeze. He will, like his sibling NM, throw up his 2hr at 25-30%. Although when we encountered this problem it just became a waiting game, the mnk kept provoking while we all took a small breather, the instant his invincible failed we finished em. It was an awesome and fun fight in a dangerous area, I just wanted to give all the upcoming mnk's out there a heads up to take this guy seriously. ^^
