Battle Info as of 11/8/10

I just got my Pld to 60 and after a horrible time in Castle Zvahl Baileys, I decided that I would try doing this part of the quest on my own. When I saw the info given on ZAM, I figured the fight would be a piece of cake. I unfortunately didn't check the date of the postings. The information is dated and pretty much entirely wrong. I'm putting this up in hopes that someone considering soloing this fight or the such has a better idea of what they're getting into.

Let's start with Basic Info:

It is a Ranger, yes. But it has 10,000 hp. I don't know who counted 5,500, but maybe he was a lot easier back then.....

Now as for my experience, I went as 85WAR/SAM41 along with a level 70 Soothing Healer Npc. Based on the info from ZAM I figured I could just take out the RNG real quick and work away slowly at the PLD. I used Retaliation, Restraint, and Mighty Strikes off the bat, didn't remember Warcry. With full Tp from clearing out the zone beforehand, I let loose with Sekkanoki and a Raging Rush SC that totalled about 2400 DMG. This is about the point I realized ZAM had screwed me over and things were going to be more interesting than planned. I used meditate and let loose with another WS shortly after, continuing to cut away at its health. With Seigan and Third Eye I was able to dodge some of the hits coming my way, but together and on top of you, these mobs take down any shields pretty quick. When they do connect, both NMS hit me for on average 80-120 DMG. My Npc kept me alive for the better part of this fight, spamming Cures, I know I saw at least 2 Cure V's in there. One-Eyed Gwajboj (PLD) used Cure IV on twice to heal Three-Eyed Prozpuz while i fought him, gave him back 740 hp. In total I used 5 weapon skills on him, with a skill chain on the first, in the end was about 10,000 DMG dealt. On a positive note, if you kill him fast enough he won't get to use Eagle Eye Shot, at least he didn't in my case.

Hope this helps.
gona try and solo soon

yeah ive got 75rdm brd and war .. was going to try rdm/nin with my TP bonus sword and my joy sub. all my reg buffs and such. anyway i have read some places that you can totally disregard the rng nm and just kill the pld since thats all u need.
anyway im only 52 pld atm but i will try and remember to come back in a couple weeks or less and repost how the fight went.

While getting my surcoat, the RDM in my party thought it would be a good idea to let fly with a 300tp Spirits Within during the first 30 seconds of the fight. Prozpuz countered by using Eagle Eye Shot, hitting a 61 Galka RDM for over 1000 damage. In other words:

(Take care.)

As a 69 BLM it resisted an Elemental Seal+Sleepga 2.

So, if you plan to sleep the RNG and kill the PLD first...that might not be a good idea.

It's attacks hit for 70-120 on my, btw. Around 40-65 on a low 60s PLD.
