<~ Was murdered TWICE by this damn NM. Took me 3 tries to get my mask for my AF >.< Never wanna fight him again. ^^;;;;;;
I killed this guy last night with a couple of jps... the pt setup was 75nin/war, 70+ whm/blm, 61drk/thf (me), and a 53 rdm/blm. This guy was a mean sob.... his aga spells burned threw shadows like a hot knife threw butter and he spamed Dimensional Death quite a bit. The battle was going well until he 2hred.... needless to say he went threw shadows fast but it was ok cause the nin was kiting him ^^. In the end we won with no deaths, though i took a DD near the end and went into orange hp with 1 hit..... (damn guilotine ^^). I'm uber happy now cause i have full whm and drk af ^^.

i was wondering if i need to be on my whm to get this done or can i get it done as any other job kinda like the pld af3 where u pop it and u lot on the item u need ???? i like to know so i can get my whm af3 who is 56 and well store it away since if bugging me lol anyhows

A few months ago, after a failed attempt to fight him full on in a regular fashion, I asked a 61RDM friend to help me zone-kite him.
It was a fairly easy job, He just likes to regen his HP fast, There is no links on the way to zone. A JP 75RDM offered help when he was about half HP, He went down in about 2-3hours of kiting total. We had 4 deaths in this time, never losing aggro on him. The 75RDM died once, I died once(as 60WHM) and the 61RDM died once. To finish him off, a party of 74WHM 75WAR and 75NIN offered us help when he was at about 1-2%HP, and our 75RDM was dead.
"Paragon of White Mage excellence."
It was a fairly easy job, He just likes to regen his HP fast, There is no links on the way to zone. A JP 75RDM offered help when he was about half HP, He went down in about 2-3hours of kiting total. We had 4 deaths in this time, never losing aggro on him. The 75RDM died once, I died once(as 60WHM) and the 61RDM died once. To finish him off, a party of 74WHM 75WAR and 75NIN offered us help when he was at about 1-2%HP, and our 75RDM was dead.

So it's possible for me to bring 5 Lv 75's along with myself and kill this bad boy?
What would you reccomend for a party setup?
PLD,DRK,RNG,RNG,WHM,(me WHM)?
I was told this didn't require an alliance and from reading lots of people's posts they have all brought like 10+ people, I would think the smaller the party the better. I will try this party make up and hopefully all goes well.

I'm the other BST from the duo with Bullet that killed this guy a while back. I never really responded with the story because I was unable to come up with words to accurately express how amazing the experience was.
I do have one thing to add that may be helpful to normal parties that attempt to do this NM, however.
One of the beliefs I had going into this fight is that a large reason why he's so difficult for many people is that they take an alliance to fight him, resulting in massive amounts of TP generation and of course Dimensional Death spamming and tank death. So I thought that, if we were just two BST throwing jugs at him, it'd be no problem and we could alternate Courrier Carries, kiting him around with the indigenous mobs in the meantime when Call Beast was down.
It turns out that his DD usage is not gated by his TP. It is really quite true that he SPAMS DD. Many times he'd DD two or three times in a row on the same pet. Carrie could only sustain that many before dying, and a solid DD would one-hit pretty much all the charmables in the zone, though the ~55 bats could probably survive one.
So my point to those of you who are trying this is, do not make assumptions about DD being gated on TP. The ability is just part of his attacking and he'll spam it like crazy even if only one person is hitting him.
If you are a BST or a small party looking for specific advice on how we managed to defeat him, please ask here and then send me a PM so I can know I have to look and provide a response. :)

OK so we did this fight 4 times with 12 people of the following jobs:
69 War
59 Whm
59 Whm
65 Pld

I'm wondering if a 75 Red mage subbed Ninja can solo this mob? anyone got a clue? He's a Taru that soloed the bird NM for the Samurai (Which a 60+ Pld, Blm, Sam, 50+ Whm, Sam x2 died for)afII and a air elemental (that poped outta nowhere) and ended up with nearly full hp.

Meeeh, thats crazy. I soloed that bird at 65ish (smn/whm) and it only took me about 10-20 mins also. I would "guess" that a rdm/nin could if the whm stayed out of AoE Sleepga range and was ready to cure when needed and the rdm was good at their job. I'm hopeing to try and solo him soon in a lvl or 2 (atm 72smn/whm). GL with your new AF piece and let me know how the rdm goes ~.^ .

This bad boy was no probem. Me and 2 other whms got a full alliance together. We had about 6-7 plds. We fought this thing 3 times, but only lost 2 players throughout all 3. We then proceeded to help all those plds get their item in Davoi....fun...
Killed this NM as BST/whm 63, BST/whm 63 and WHM/smn 55-60ish. On Phoenix
Suffice it to say, it took a loooong time and we had quite a few deaths. At one death I HPed back to jueno to get supplies while the other BSt kited him around the zone.
This was probably the most insane thing I have done yet in this game.
good job to Suji, he was the leader for this fight and he did an outstanding job.
At the end I had gotten seperated from the others and the NM charged at me. He got Sleep on me with red health and as he ran to me, he died from Dia 2.

We did this fight 4 times. I was the only pld, We had 2 monks&drg that did hella damage jacko and jebo, this helped a lot. I parsed the battles, it this mob has roughly 20k hp. He does curse, sleepga 2; and did aspir on me at begining of each fight, ack!! We were successfull but had a few deaths. Make sure you bring a full alliance of 58+ AT LEAST. We killed miser murphy on the way ... he was pretty bad too...

lol i was in Fei'Yin with 2 friends to do bcnm 40 yestarday, and i saw some guys fighting this NM, was kinda lika, WTF?!?! O_o, hehe, i was just standing there and watching like a fool. then while i was watching his name turned from purple to white, then i reallized i wasin danger cause it passed by me and if it would aggro me i was dead meat XD. hehe. thanks god it didn't!
Just did this with a friend, alliance of 56-73, i hardly did much and he hit me with Dimensional death for 912. almost died. what level is this guy?
Bring poison potions. First time we did it, we got sleepga'd, 3 died. Second time, each of us had poison potions. Piece of cake.

We had 4 white mages (52-63), two mnks (60+), two smn (58 & 74), one blm (59), one rng (62), one drk (58), two rdm (57 & 60), 3 Pld (57,58,53), two war (57+).
We had to fight him twice and the battle went rather smoothly. Hate was taken off of the tank by the mnks though but all the white mages kept everyone alive.
To be honest, I would have to say that he is totally over rated. But I highly recommend bringing along a smn for the party with the main tank. Blink and stoneskin for everyone is very helpful. If you follow this tactic have all the higher level people who could pull hate be in that party also. But as long as you have enough healers this isn't a tough fight at all. ^^

I just fought him with a full alliance from 52-68. We fought him a total of 5 times and it was fairly easy. He does spam dimensional death but if your healers or on their toes he shouldnt be a problem. We only had 4 deaths out of the five fights, none of which were the mages.

Anyone know if Magic attacks give tp to the baddy? if so, is it as much as a melee? if not, does it sound wise to have 2 or 3 blms to nuke the SOB and not get 20-25 dimensional deaths as one poster noted?

We went in and fought this with a full alliance (18 people) for 3 white mages that needed it, and a 75 white mage. A 71 PLD tried to tank it, but it just became fun -- Which melee could deal enough damage to get hate and die? The rangers all saved up 300 TP and sidewinder >> barrage, trying to get hate, just for bragging rights. Raise 3 is a beautiful thing. This battle isn't too hard if your Damage Dealers let the tank do its thing, but loss of hate usually results in death. (On a ranger/black mage, 1 Dimensional Death is K/O...on a monk, 2 DD + 2 attacks = death...others somewhere in between). We counted, he used 20-25 Dimensional Death per fight. Fights lasted 2-3 minutes.
I'm hoping you're exaggerating... Once every 7 seconds?
