- A widly known BCNM, but I thought I'd post a little something on it -

I got 3 blm's from my Linkshell and headed out.
We used the same strategy as a lot of others.

The second all 3 of you are in the battle field, start runnin for the Center, You have plenty of time to buff when you're in the Aspir phase. Buffs that are on you outside the BCNM fall off when you trade the Orb. Its not like the 2-3 dragon where they stay on.

Phase 1 - I'll take that Mana, Thank you! - Aspir:
1 person (Leader) Elemental Seal: Sleeps - The elemental Seal is for a timer. not necessairly for better sleeping. All 3 mages get into a Triangle around the circle far enough away to not get hit by Paralyzega casted on one another. But close enough to still cast spells on one another. Keep sleep on it at all times. the second it wakes up, somebody should sleep it. (We took turns, which worked really well for the next phase where it gets a little hecktic) Aspir the **** out of him until you have 1:30 - 1:00 left on the timer for Elemental Seal - Keep in mind that all the mana you use in this phase is free mana, cast barparalyza, Aquaveil, Shock Spikes, when you have about 3 minutes remining. That way you're full when the fight begins. and free Aquaveil, Protect, Shock Spikes, etc. ::: NOTE ::: You don't have to suck the SOB dry, trust me. Just get him low enough so he wants to conserve his MP more. He didn't cast Cure 3 once the 5 times we faced him.

Phase 2 - The Fight:
Once you Aspir the last time.
Mage 1 - Bind, Shock, Slow
Mage 2 - Burn, Paralyze
Mage 3 - Choke, Bio
It is now mage 2's turn to watch for Bind, It only lasts about 10-15 seconds each time. and REMEMBER to keep in range of your buddys! Keep him bound as much as possible. Just cast Blizzard, and Water 2 (Our Blizzards were doing about 80 damage, our Water 2's about 120-130)
The little ******* hits you pretty hard, about 60-80 per hit to a gimped blm (about 105 def). Its important to stay in that triangle, move only when he is still in attack range when he is bound. and move INTO the circle, not away. The aggro shifts around a LOT which is really really good, the longer he's moving from person to person the less damage he's doing. which is why its important to be as far away from eachother as possible with still being able to cast at one another.

First time, we lost because we weren't watching the time closly enough (we just started nuking it when we started getting 0 mana from Aspir). Bad idea. Ran out of time
2nd time we had somebody DC on us for about 3 minutes during the Aspir phase and we still managed to beat it.
3rd time it was easier, we got it a bit faster with only a couple close calls.
4th time was a damn walk in the park. We casted at the same times, It looked like a ballet. It was flawless. we beat it in 9:32
5th time I moved away from my buddys to avoid getting attacked by the bound Bitoso, he attacked, aggro didn't shift, and I de-paralyzed myself instead of taking the dice roll and trying to cure myself, I died. we almost still won, but we ran out of MP.

You won't land a silence, so don't even try.

Good Macros for this fight

Yagado Drink Useage:
/item "Yagudo Drink" <me>

(Just eat the pie when you're in the aspir phase)

Second to rng/nin, Blm/Whm is almost the best way to get this one knocked out of the park.
I have a Theory. I think it will cast cure 3's if he has 1/5 MP or More so if you can Aspir him down to 1/5th total mana (about 25-30 times), you should be fine.

a little help would be good me and my friends will try this on sunday so i want some advice and what u think about what we will do...

to say first i tried 2 times this bcnm with me as 30whm/15blm a war30/drk15 and a drk30/war15
the first time we got all owned by his cure 3.. drk alone couldnt do the damage needed and silence didnt get on him (after i saw that damn is resitent to silence).
sencon time we almost got it. i after 3 tries i could silence him.. we got like 2/3 of his hp but i was with out mp (even with juices) and drk died like a milisecond before my benediction got activated... at the same time silence was over and well u know got wiped again.

this time will be me as blm30/whm (drk magic 72)
whm30/blm and a rdm30 (dont know if it will be war,blm or whm his sub)
what u think we can do to take this ******* down
i will sleep and aspir and do some debuff and nuke... but only me using aspir we cant take all his mp... so i really apreciate some advice

My advice would be to not use that pt and try a different BCNM
First attempt
# Jul 22 2004 at 10:50 AM Rating: Decent
Well, I tried this with two LS friends yesterday. We had a 44 whm cast Protectra II and Shellra II on us (not sure if this worked, since this is my first BCNM, but I think it did), and we went in. Our setup was:

BLM 30/WHM 15 (Me, fully lvled Dark skill, I ate a Pumpkin Pie)
DRK 30/WAR 15 (Our tank, used a Meat Mithkabob)
BLM 29/WHM 14 (His dark skill was at 65, he used an Apple Pie)

We slept it and Aspir'd, but eventually started to worry about running out of time, and attacked it. Big mistake. I underestimated this guy's MP, it seems. The Cure III's didn't actually bother me much, we were doing a fairly good amount of damage...but the AOE Paralyga is NASTY. I was meleeing with the drk in hopes we could get off a lousy SC (Shadow of Death > Seraph Strike I think it was), but next time I think I'd stay back.

We lost, after getting him down to a bit less than half health. I was the only one who used my 2hr, tried to Cure II our tank, and was paralyzed, got interrupted, died in the next hit. So no 2hrs, essentially.

Our mistakes were:
1. We needed to have better food. I'm not doing this again without a Yagudo Drink or something.
2. Other blm's dark skill should've been capped.
3. We needed to Aspir him longer.
4. I shouldn't have meleed.

I think we're going to try again, since both the drk and I bought Sky Orbs. Hopefully this time it'll go better!

EDIT: Second attempt

Same setup, same people, which I think helped - we all knew a bit better what to do.

Here was our setup (before cap):

BLM 36/WHM 18 (Me, fully leveled dark skill, I ate a Pumpkin Pie and used a Yagudo Drink)
DRK 35/WAR 17 (Our tank, used a Meat Mithkabob and some au lait for HP regen)
BLM 31/WHM 15 (He leveled a bit before we tried this again, got his dark skill to 76, and used a Yagudo Drink)

We tried to sleep and Aspir it for as long as we could, but he started to become resistant to our sleeps, so the Drk cast Bio and attacked. We continued to Aspir as much as we could, we started attacking about halfway into the alotted time. The other blm and I stayed back this time, which I think helped a lot.

We got him down to 3/4 gone, did much better. Only the drk used his 2hr.

Our mistakes:
1. We wanted to try binding him, since he's weak to ice, and we didn't. Bind would have helped a lot, too much MP was wasted on curing me and the other blm.

We're going to try this yet again, it looks like.

this guy is ridiculously easy...i beat him all the time, heres how:
Ranger/nin
Ranger/nin
Red mage/white mage

the mage takes care of all the curative aspects (i.e. paralyna/cure) and eagle eye shot and barrage just beat down on the little wormy. hope this helps...now only if theis worked on the petrifying pair...

Wanted to note that the 3 BLM Method is fool-proof if you have no idiots with you. Onto business. (This is copied from my post on the BCNM page)

I added up all of our aspirs from this incredibly easy battle and it came up to around 1200 MP. This can be cemented by the fact that:

We each aspired an average of 40 MP.
We stopped aspiring after 10 minutes (after the first sleeper's ES timer went up).
40 x 10 x 3 = 1200 MP.

So just aspir him until your first sleeper's ES timer goes up then nuke the crap out of him. They do more damage than you'd think.

Also, to a fairly gimped (105 Defense) blm he does around 60 damage which isn't bad considering it is incredibly easy to bind him (he is weak to ice). Good luck!

I want to add, have each BLM stand on opposite sides so that paralyzga only hits one person when he awakes. Also wanted to add that doesn't take into account the MP he uses up during Paralyzga which I presume is quite a bit. He only got to cast it once between each sleep though.

Tried this last night with a Ranger/Nin, BST/WHM, and a WAR/NIN. We were owned. It was sad. I the ranger had guns, and was pounding away on him. I forgot to use my bloody bolts (DUH). /cry. We got him down to:

|--|---------|

BST used +1 jug for the little crab pot thingy. War couldn't pull hate from me. No time for nin blink.

Gonna try next time with BST/WHM, WAR/NIN, WHM/NIN with dual clubs, stoneskin, blink and nin blink to push through the benediction. WHM/NIN will use attack gear, and dual clubs, pixy mace and squire's mace. I'll do a elemental seal silence, maybe that will help.

We Tried this tonight...got killed..we were really close to killing it though..it had like 1/4 HP...but we did things all wrong..I did my two hour at the beginning of the fight, and the tank didn't have any Fishkabobs...we're about to do it again though xD
Setup
Mithra Lvl 30 Dark Knight/Thief (Fully Subbed)
Elvaan Lvl 30 Dragoon/Warrior (Fully Subbed)
Elvaan Lvl 29 WhiteMage/BlackMage (29/10)

We almost had it..>.<
I was hittin' this S.O.B for 100+ damage with Sneak Attack constantly...We got killed when the Dragoon died...so..yeah...we needed a better healer figure xD

HP on this guy isn't much..it's just he casts cure 3 on himself way too damn much

Maybe we should use a Summoner/White Mage??

I've fought this guy once. The party was War/Sam, a Whm (can't remember sub), and me, a Mnk/War. We killed him in one try, not much trouble. We got him to about 1/3 of his HP, and we each had about 1/4. The Whm then used Benediction, I used voke and Hundred Fists to take back the hate, and the War used Mighty Strikes, and he dropped a couple seconds later.

Me and two LS buddies have tried this guy twice in a row and have failed. Both times we went in as RDM/WHM, RNG/THF, and MNK/SAM.

The fact of the matter is that fighting this guy can either be done two ways: You can either try to win a war of attrition against this guy, which is practically impossible without Aspir'ing the hell out of him or bringing in armfuls of Potions or Ethers, OR you can just shoot for the moon and try to deal it enough damage to counteract the CONSTANT, CONSTANT Cure III spam.

Silence sticks, but not for long at all. And I'll be damned if anything interrupts this guy, Hundred Fists didn't even phase him.

But yeah, trying to beat it by tanking won't do JACK, it'll just keep spamming Cure III over and over. I HATE THIS GUY.

Fought this BC 3 times with a couple friends. We went in NIN/WAR, BLM/WHM, BLM/WHM. Our plan was basically to have the NIN tank the thing while we two BLMs Aspired him every minute to drain him of his MP (yes, you can do this and yes, it will stop his incessant Cure IIIs) and also cured, nuked, and rested. Well, this worked fine, never were in any danger of dying at all, but we did have two problems: 1, the 15 minute time limit. argh! Aspiring the crawler out of MP is great and all, but we always cut the time close and 1 of the 3 we timed out ; ;. and 2, the drops were completely awful. We each put in 30 seals and came out of it with maybe 6, 7k each. I learned that you're not even guaranteed an earring drop ^^;; you won't find me doing this one again any time soon.

Hiya all, first time poster but I had to share this with you. First my name is Darkicon on the Diablos server and this is my attempt at Bistro.

I got to of my LS buddies:
War/Mnk
Rng/War?
Blm/Whm

When we entered we had a game plan. I would get as much hate as possible and they would pound it to the ground. Well we were wrong.

With protect 2, and defender I was still taking on about 50-150 points of damage. The ranger was giving it all he had, and so was the Blm. Well I died first. I waited even on the vokes so I wouldnt die so fast (share the hate) but I died within 3 mins in. The Ranger was soon to follow. The Blm ran away and left the BC.

Blood Bath. Those who want to try this becarefull. But I have idea for next time. Two Blm/Whm and me. Worth a shot.

fool for a day
# May 18 2004 at 3:08 AM Rating: Decent
*posted this in bcnm forum but i want this to be know worldwide how big a fool i am. my party couldnt stop laughing at me after this*

Well guys I must say I'm feeling pretty foolish, just took on Bitso for the first time. Read this for a good laugh and also a good strategy. My party was a BLM/whm, pld/war, rng/nin(without blink) and honestly i think this is one of the best parties for this nm. Here was our battle plane

1) Open battle as normal, ranger build tp while pld holds aggro, i act as healer while pld heals himself as needed.
2) when ranger tp has sufficient tp he lets load with barrage for massive damage, immediately afterwards pld uses invincible
3) for the 30 secs of invince i nuke the hell out of it while the rng builds more tp.
4) after invince wears off go back to step 1 until he starts spamming cure 3, at which time ill counteract with nukes.
5) when it is near dead rng unloads with ws and finsihes it with 2 hr (insane damage)
Sidenote: blm also dispells paralize as needed and pld uses shield bash for a cure 3 or two to speed things up. also the blm will need juices for enough mp and when/if he runs out he'll bust out manafont so he can cast without usin mp while mp is being regened.

The paln seemed foolproof, well that was before u saw this fool. (Let me say I'm some wut knew to the healing bizz before hand) In retrospect we realized that for the first 1/3 of the battle i was actually curing bitso...and also since i had my eye on the pld's hp i somehow mistaked his mp as my own. so as u can imagine i thought i was out of mp when actually i had was near full for the entire battle, annd my manafont macro wasnt working so we wnet a good 30 secs with no heals. with all this we still managed to get it down to half life, thank you and goodnight.

i cant believe it, but I actually can make a post. My name is Invincible and im on the Ifrit server, gee could you guess? I've viewed here for a while but haven't had much to post on. Anyway I was off leveling my character with a very good group when i happened to come upon a few BS which got my total up to 30 so i decided to get one of these. I asked two of my friends from the XP group to go with me since they did so good. Well we went to Giddeus and fought this thing and we just absolutely raped it. I mean no contest, and it was all on us, because i went back with a differant group and we got raped. If you want to take him out heres what you do.

Get 2 BLMS and one damage taker with voke. Stand on both sides of the arena and use the Ping Pong affect. Both us BLMs had Rolandberry pies and pineapple juices beforehand also. Using this we just killed him, would have had the record too if we werent so damn scared before we actually hit him. Here is the stats and list of drops.

Also i would like to give props to Avoloc and Shinobii the fellas i did it with couldnt have asked for better partners.

BLM/WHM - Invincible
BLM/WHM - Avoloc
MNK/WAR - Shinobii

And of course what you really want, the drops.

2 Silk Threads
1 Silver Ingot
1 Scroll of Magic Finaly (Bard) Worthless
1 Warlock Earring Sells for around 80k-100k on Ifrit, so that is his rare drop, and damn worth it for 80k i say cause if you do what I said i can almost guarantee you an easy win. Good Luck everyone :)

Anyone try a BST with a jug pet? I think a 3BST pt with pets could take this thing since it would be like a 6 man PT.

Is it possible?

Ok, two of my buddies and I tried this guy last night, lets just say it was a one-sided battle....
We had a RDM/WHM <me>, a WHM/BLM, and a SAM/WAR. Well we tried it twice, First time, we got raped, not knowing what to expect, this being my first time, it didn't last long. The second time though we did relatively good, we had bought countless pies, and milks and kabobs etc., and I casted refresh, on myself and the whm, before the battle, we did good. We were gonna try to outlast his mp, the whm and I traded healing jobs, we both had paralyna, so we kept the sam free of paralysis. The sam did a nice amount of damage with his weapon skills, meditate was nice! But a little bit into the battle, the whm started gaining hate, and his mp was low, once the sam got the hate back, the whm was resting, and I was on full healing job, heh. Well my mp was already extremely low from back-up healing and my enfeebling attempts. So my mp ran out, and the sam died =/ Then it came for the whm, and he died =/ then it was my turn, it was brutal, a helpless taru rdm taking Bitoso on by herself.....

Does anyone know if silencing potion works???
None of us had enough gil for some, but if we did we would have tried!!!
Has anyone beat Bitoso yet????!?!?!

Ok So me and 2 of my LS buddies went to do this today

Arzak (me) - Dark 42
Arcidius - Monk 30
FledgingPhoenix - White Mage 36

(of course lvl didn't matter cuz of cap)

1st Fight: We didnt know what to expect and the AoE of Paralyga so we didn't do too well - I was the first to go because I forgot to initiate Blood Weapon so as I'm dead the monk initiates Hundred Fists - not really a good idea considering i'm already did...on top of that the WHM didn't attempt to silence and also ran out of MP at about 1/2 it's HP. Needless to Say - We got OwNeD!

2nd Fight: Doing good - WHM managed to get silence on him twice during battle - We had him down to 1/2 HP then it continuously cast Cure III On himself i was almost dead again then I used Blood weapon to give em back some health - we have it down to like 1/3 HP then again with the continuous CUre 3's and our whm gets paralyzed - bring him back up to almost 1/2 HP again - we start takin a beating whm uses Benediction - then we just get our *** kicked cuz now our 2h's are gone....*shrug* Yah we got owned twice!

Conclusion: We would've won had the Monk not use his 2h the first battle we were in when I was already did...and our WHM should've had some juices!

I guess your right though - we did go in unorganized and the 2nd time dind't help much either - I'm sorry buddy I still luv you! ^^ hah
#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 27 2004 at 10:48 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) It has been done in 10 seconds. Ranger + Ranger + Ranger party. Each of the 3 rangers got up 300% tp before entering BC and opened up with Piercing arrow (Ranger WS which ignores enemy's defense) the followed with 3 Barrages (Ranger JA that fires multiple arrows at once) and 3 Eagle Eye Shots (the Ranger 2 hr).... BAM...dead crawler. Mob died in 10 seconds and the record is still there now. Rangers Pwn, provided they have best ammo and bow and gear hehe.

Why do people lie to make themselves sound like they know something when they don't. FYI, your TP goes to 0 as soon as you enter. I did this as a lvl30 RNG with a the best bow and arrows you can have at that level, barrage, 200% WS, and 2 hour only knocked off about 20% of its HP. And the thing can Cure III. So 3 rangers with no tank are most likely not going to be able to blitz kill this like you say. Still, 3 rangers all subbing NIN with utsusemi can bounce aggro around pretty good if they spread out and the mob will spend more time chasing than hitting.

And 300% TP? u relize u cant have any TP before u fight him? cause theres a zone right before u get into the shrine?..so your lying about that...and the 10seconds..it takes 5 to walk up to him and i doubt u can kill him in 5 more seconds and get the treasure chest in 10 secs....i woulda believed 30 =P

There's no mobs to get TP off of in Balga's Dias.

What if the rangers all were lvl 60 and subbed samurai? They all meditate until 300 TP...then get de-leved and go fight. Wouldn't that work?

Can you do this with a full party? So far I've only seen 3 person parties attempt this. Forgive my ignorance, please!

So from the post I read, I am planning to go for it and organise a party.

Bitoso is a Physical attack mob which has high HP passive, high Def boost active, strong resist enbeefing magic, will use Cure 3, Paralyse AoE.

Question here:

1) How is his magic Def to Elemental and Darkness?
2) How big is the AoE Paralyse area?

Here is my plan:

WHM30/BLM15 is a must (healing only, stand far away to avoid paralyse)

True tank is unnecessary, PLD make worst choice than WAR here. Melee should take damage equal with hate control.

WHM should use 2H on right moment and damage dealer should use 2H or anything to take back the hate (Souleater/Bersek/Last Retort etc.)

DRK make best choice, since we need more attack than Def, plus Drain/Aspir/Bio/Bizzard and slight resist Paralyse are bonus.

DRG/WAR/THF as main or sub make good choice too, they can take hate, use SA and still good as attack.

PLD make worse choice as main but good choice as sub since it can cast few cure spell.

RDM make worst choice as enbeefing is useless here.

I have no experience of NIJ/SAM/SUM here, so I leave all the comment open.
