I spent quite a while looking for spiny but so far no luck :(

Hey im about to start camping this thing seems like bad drop rate but if anyone has any tips or pop times/day tell me

killed it like 15 times. droped 5 times. seen him in many places but alway along the wall from the tower to the end of the river. somtimes like 10sec more down the street. a method that works: kill it and be back in 1:30 kill crawler and he WILL pop from 2:05 to 2:15. if you stay after TOD and kill crawler you can down his respawntime to like 1:10 ... fastest time i ever got was like 50min.
if you know that and TOD you dont have to stay long... like 30min and you got an almost granted pop.

ive seen him like 12-14 times near the road. 1 time at the end of the river and 1 time in the middel of the way done the river. many ppl are keep telling me they saw him most times at the end of the river.

never got the cape below 50% of Moon 3 drops at full moon.
and 13 of 15 pops at night... why ever.

it goes 22k in jeuno 30k in windy but sometimes up to 50...

btw.: you should be level 13 better 14 to kill it. i level most of my jobs there until they dont get exp. whats lev 15. its really good mony. Silk thread or Chips are good to farm. but dont fight bees in the critical time. i got many of them cause somone killed bees or looked in widescan too long ;)

would a 9blm/whm kill this thing?

I spent a little under two hours camping this NM. I was using my lvl 37 MNK and subbing THF. During the time, a few other players would run by, but none stuck around to give me any competition.

After running around the area where Spipi spawns, I noticed that the crawlers do not always spawn where they were killed at. I don't know why this is, but it was interesting to see that they could be killed at one spot and pop somewhere not even close to their ToD.

Anyway, Spipi popped as I was running along the path, northward toward the river. I was surprised to see how much bigger he was then the other cralwers. After two hits and one Backhand Blow, Spipi fell to my gimmy MNK. I got two silk threads and the Mist Silk Cape.

So far for Spiny Spipi, I'm 1/1 on the cape. And during that time, I managed to collect a stack and a half of silk thread, two stacks of chips, and a stack and a half of honey. I may have to camp him again for a cape to sell because I needed the cape for my mages who will be lvl 10 soon. That's the only reason why I camped him.

Ive camped this little bugger for 2 days and i never found him. Was jw if anyone knows the spawn time on it

I can't get the drop! am lvl 16 THF, kill him easily but don't seem to get it!

I haven't had much luck yet with camping the Spipi; been camping for about 4 days now, maybe five hours a day, here and there. Outclaimed once; killed her once with no drop, just silk thread >.< Last night someone got her before I knew she'd popped, and no drop for them either.

But the last couple days have been really frustrating because I haven't even seen her pop since like the second day.

*sigh* Anyway, I'm not giving up, I came all the way out from Bastok just for this, so I ain't leavin' 'til I get what I came for.

Edit: Oh yeah, and both pops I saw were by the rocks near the river, and the time she popped last time (when someone else fought her) was in that little piece of land near the waterfall.

ive been camping this guy for about 2 days now, im 1/2 so its pretty good but i only get to camp for 2 hours a day so one spawn a day for me >.< anyways i checked jeuno b4 i went to camp em and the cape was going for about 50- 70k but when i checked windy it was at 100k-160k so check windy's AH after you get the cape cuz you could make a good chucnk of change you wouldnt have gotten plus windy is only 3 minutes away. on to camp hoo mjuu to make myself crazy trying to get the signa

You guys are too silly. He spawn exactly somewhere within the listed area....preferably the road. its not rocket science to pop this guy... i mean, i have been just walking by and tere he was minding his own usiness and grazing. once... it took me up to 45 mins and i gave up cause im not all that patient. but he spawns regularly in no time and i am 2/3. THF subbed. and omg.. please... never mention the lower the lvl the better the drop. THAT SHIZNIT IS NOT TRUE!!! everyone has the same drop rate unless you have T1 or T2. silly noobs.

After several attempts at camping this NM for Cape, I gave up thinking it was a lost cause...only to find it last Saturday chillin on at J-7. I jumped off my Bird knowing that a taru was around the corner comming from the stone monument, I Killed it as a RDM 30/RNG 10 (I was camping a few other NM that day), did my dance for joy and then ran back to Windy...God that was a great day!!!!! 4 out of 5 NM I hunted that day dropped items, but the best is this cape woohoo.

I saw him yesterday for the first time! I killed him with a THF13 and no sup job! So for me its 1/1

Does anyone know if this mob only spawns during the day? :/

i got the cape and i got it by two resaons killing a crapload of gobs and other cattepillar things plus i was only like lvl 12 the lower the lvl the better the chance of a drop

everyone need a good laugh? my bro has camped spini for a week now, and teh last four days never once seen him pop XD, and i hate this thing as much as everyone else 0/42 i have no clue with NMs T_T

ive been here for hours in and out of the 2 locations and i havnt even seen any sign of it...is there anything a little more specific bc i want it but its just a cape

I have killed this nm 3 times and got the cape each time. Very easy camp, and whenever i hunt for him, no one is around. 2/3 spawns were in the little dead ened area east of spawn location. The other time happened right in between the little cluster of rocks near the river. I have mailed off the capes to my mules so i can kill him while I farm for beehive chips and silk thread when i am bored. Sold 2 of my 3 capes for 190-200k on the Bahamut server. Actually, as of writing this, I got my 3rd cape the yesterday. Now if only I could be this lucky w/ Monster Signa >_<. I would recommend TH for this guy as I have yet to miss a drop w/ it. GL.

Meh it's an aite NM but he's no big deal.

I camped spini earlier the day before for about an hour and then tonight for about two hours before she finally spawned south of the river in J-6. Didn't get the cape just the thread...but this kill was purely payback!!!

I am 0/4 on this bad boy of camping it 4 days, really, this thing is the worst to camp period!

O.o im 1/1 on this little bastard went to camp hoo mjuu the torrent no luck there omw back i ran into spiny got the claim beat him almost as soon as the fight began then bam Mist silk cape and a silk thread not bad 200k on hades in jueno when i sold mine since my whm didnt need it anymore

i have killed him 6x and only droped a silk each time

So far it has spawned 3 spots in J-I7. 30THF/5RNG when i got the drop and so far I am 1/4

i found this at J-7 and i was 13 SMN/WHM...no drop...just a stupid silk thread ; ;
