I was nothing short of pissed off when I got out of this one. I was told to literally go in the middle and voke Harry. I knew how stupid it was, but with Rank 6s and 7s there I figured why not, surely they have something up their sleeve...

Nope. The party was dead in a minute, maybe even less. Seriously. The only consolation I got out of this was that it wasn't my seals that were wasted :D. But I really would like to do this one again sometime with people who know what they're doing.

These guys can tend to be a bit difficult to charm...but they ARE charmable. This is the BCNM that my 6x BST parties do so often...everyone charms a rabbit and sends it after Helltail Harry (one person occupies the remaining rabbit with his), then we use Leave one by one and kill off the remaining pets. 6x BST BCNMs general take 8 minutes or less.

Hmmm 100k for uts. NI wow.... Siren NI and erase is the big money... 700k range each... i remember when NI was 350k and Erase was 500k not that long ago... but now the two compete for the greatest price.
Uts. Ni might go up more... just BC40 4/6 times and got 3/4 erase no Ni ... Ni seems to be a rare'r drop ; ;

Over a year time difference in the posts. I think Ni is around 900k on Garuda now.

Here are the items you get for killing this BCNM... as you can see it is quite worth the climb.

Scroll: Refresh, Scroll: Phalanx, Scroll: Ice Spike, Scroll: Fire Spirit, Scroll: Erase, Scroll: Absorb-STR, Guarding Gorget, Goshenite, Gold Beastcoin, Enhancing Earring, Balance Buckler, Scroll: Utsusemi: Ni, Survival Belt
Are these trainable?

the regular rabbits are definitely charmable, but high Charisma is required to do this.

Most BST in this will have a Monster Signa with them for this reason. It's kinda funny to watch a whole pack of 'em running to the BC with their Signas, knowing how little chance of failure they have. ^^
actually

Actually, it has no items listed as drops because in BCNM battles, the rare items are not actually "dropped" as normal. If the players win, a treasure coffer appears in front of them, and they open it and collect the items.
BCNM

It doesn't have any better items because it is one of the minor enemies in a BCNM battle.
No drops, only partially an NM
# Jan 28 2004 at 9:36 AM Rating: Decent
If you hadn't noticed or guessed from the location, Cottontail and Helltail Harry are from the Horlais Peak BCNM40. (And possibly one of the easier ones)
Hmmm....
# Jan 27 2004 at 8:11 PM Rating: Default
It doesn't make sense. There has to be some item for this NM. To think about it, this NM is twice the level of the surrounding enemies (such as orcs...many orcs). Also, who would climb up there to kill this NM for rabbit meat and earth crystals?
drop

does this also drop the rabit charm found on jiggly ear jack?

No only Jack drops the rabbit charm. As it is one of the most heavily camped NM's on Bismarck, bnext to Lizie and the Emperor > good luck getting it, it is worth the effort
