I was leveling my SAM to 12 here, and while I was fighting a mandragora next to the outpost, another mandragora agroed me. I was like "wtf?". Then after I seen his name, and the fact I only had about 3/4 HP left, I wasn't really sure if I could defeat him or not. I managed to beat him, with 53HP left, 3MP left (SAM/WHM ftw), and without using two hour. He gave me 75 exp (with the empress band on). This guy has A LOT of HP. I was hitting him for about 40-45 a hit and his health barely moved.
All he dropped was Saruta Cotton though :(
and a two leaf mandy bud, wowww..

This was my very first NM and I ran into him by accident as a lowlevel MNK. I got killed very quickly and thought what the **** was that. After checking up on him and leveling up a bit first I got the drop the third time I killed him.
When my son got his own ID and characters and we could start to play together this summer we were at one point doing some Windy-mission and he got killed. We were very low level, maybe 7 or so, at the time. His homepoint was at the Outpost and suddenly he sends me a tell that Tom Tit Tat was there. New and eager as he was he claimed him and started fighting even if I told him not to so I ran over and we both got killed. Both our homepoints were at the Outpost and this was just behind it. So we continued to fight and got killed again and again. Some passerbyers thought we were crazy and maybe we were. He was so close to die, but when I finally lost a level we gave up and someone with a higher level finished him off with one blow.

tim was infront of me like 5 feet i killed him in 2 shots as 51thf/25rng... got the fruit punches 1/1
they were listed as 6k in a.h i put em up for 10k in windy and was sold b4 i got back to sandy.
not worth the camping.
but if he is there as you pass by kill him. 10k is 10k... but i wouldnt waste time camping as i could make 10k alot easier

umm... these fruit punches are about 50k on fairy. my brother says we have about the best economy.

yea, usally i go THF/RNG and farm silk, but every now and then i see him and thats an easy 15k on Caitsith Sever. lol dang push over, big headed, dummy mandy....

I was camping Nunyenunc in West Sarutabaruta as RNG/THF(100% drop but nice for farming silk) and I see this guy on scan, I get claim with shadowbind and kill him, then less then 10 min later I see him on scan again and run kill him. Must have a special respawn time.

Well i camped crawls and bees and was like why not kill tom while im at it. It was 1530 firesday and it was on the east side of the tree still on starfall hillock so the iceday thing is just plain wrong. Got the drop first time 1/1 with my lvl 18thf/9rng.

Did u get the good drop or the crappy knuckles? The 4-leaf mandrgora bud is a drop that increases chances of rare drops on NMs when you have it in your inventory. I would perfer to have this over the other any day.

Thee 4 leaf mandy bud will drop off the Mandragoras. Not the tiny ones or whatever, but the normal ones will drop it. You just have too kill a few hundred. I know because that's how I got it ^^. Then I ate it (or gave it to that one guy for the quest?) and had to get another one. Took 30 minutes or something for me I think.

I wondered to myself hmmm. what should i do. so i askd a lv8 whm to help me n i charmd a mandy, mandy died n then i charmd crawler.....crawler killd it n i got the drop ^^ if u fight NMs longer u get a more successful drop rate but sometimes u dun.....once my lv33 friend saw it n he killd it in 20 mins but he still didnt get drop.....be around lv9 n kill it slowly n i will guarantee a drop for u about 75% i would say. he runs around I-6 sometimes goin to I-7 n H-6. I fought him once got the drop n sold it for 25k to a lvl 1 mnk ^^.well gl to u all in gettin fruit punches. ^^/ BTW U DUN GET XP FROM NM WAT EVER NE! SAYS!!!

I was levling thf whit a rng sub, thouth I could try to get Tom at the same time. Spent the entire iceday looking for him and killing mandys. It sucks to kill mandys at lvl 11. He didnt pop. can somebody comfirme when he pops.
I was farming as BST24 with a jug CrabFamiliar (hunting for Crawlers, Bees and Yaguda) the other day and got little Tom on my Wide Scan twice in about three hours of time. I didn't write down the exact time, but given the fact that I saw him twice in three hours definately means at least one of the days wasn't iceday. I believe that is a hoax. The area indicated on the map seems to be correct. First time he was to the SE of the Twinkling Tree (near the campfire with the three Yaguda), the second time he was right next to the tree on top of the mountain.
Both times I nailed him. First time my pet killed him and he didn't drop anything (don't know if that was a coincidence or a consequence). Second time I killed him myself and got a ball of Saruta Cotton.

BTW, you won't get tropical punches off of this guy, ever. He drops fruit punches. Crafters turn the reasonably worthless fruit punches (cesti are good, cesti +1 are better) into the very worthwhile tropical punches. And the tropical punches +1? Those are beautiful

25k Isn't much really, not for camping an NM. You could spend the same amount of time farming, mining, or w/e it is you like to do, and make well over 25k.

An LS bud and me were camping Tom out of boredom a lil while ago.Me 35 THF/7 RNG him 33 MNK/WAR He popped after approx 30 minutes of innocent creature slaughtering. Spawn time was 20:00 Windsay so i guess that the 2:00 Iceday theory is debunked. At any rate we raped him but didnt get drop, all we got was a 2 leaf bud >_<; Also he spawned near the Outpost, not on the hill

I have only seen Tom once and it was closer to the road in H-6, slightly west of the area circled above. and he had no drops for me when i killed him either.

I was bored in Windy so I thought I'd poke around for Tom (I didnt' want to compete for Spiney).
4 hours and no pop? I was the only person remotly near the area the whole time. Am I just unlucky?

Fought him the other night around midnight on iceday. He wasnt too far away from the tree at the top of the hill, but he had wandered quite far. Killed him with ease, no drops though. At least i got to fight him.
i was camping this guy for an hr today (lightsday) It didn't show up. I will try again on iceday ...hope i will have some luck.

I was in the vicinity of Windurst and was looking through quests to do. Saw this guy in Notorious Monsters. I've got Monk at level 5 so the drop would benefit me nicely! I equiped myself as THF31/RNG12 and took up camp on Starfall Hill. Only one other player there, BLM7/nosub so I'm guessing he wasn't there for the same reason as I.
After about 15 mins of killing Mandragoras, I see Tom Tit Tat on Wide Scan! As with any NM, my heart starts pumping as I Flee to his position. Just as I get there, a passing Tarutaru BLM75/WHM37 was in the middle of casting Freeze on the sucker. Wtf?!
After crying my eyes out, I /sit under the tree. The Taru /sits next to me, looking gleeful. It ruined my day and my life.

i was lvl'n war in sarutabaruta (lvl 7ish), saw it, thought, "what the hell, its gotta different name, imma go after it." so i attack the sucker, he beats my ***. i get pissed at it, and i go to MH, switch jobs (to thf, my main, which was at about 19ish, considering i had subjob then) and haul *** back to the outpost. my luck, tom was still wandering around, so i go up, beat his *** with thf, and pick up the fruit punches drop. ^_^

the four leaf mandy bud is dropped from mandys in taronga canyon<i cant spell it> and this NM just gives u a chance to get a definate 4 leaf and the real prize, the fruit punchs which r then crafted into the awesome tropical punchs

I was farming the area of mandys looking for a four leaf clover and hoping this guy spawns. 30 mins later he spawns and i steal my four leaf off of him Hurray.

Actualy it seems that the 4-leaf gives you a litle %% bonus on drops when in your invent (from what i have heard). But i must say its without a doubt true as since i got it from this NM, i get this much more drops and well its fun when at low level and your farming silks ^^
Since i got this, i get to make stacks of silks and beehive chips at low levels this much faster.
