so i'm heading to the manaclipper and Intulo is up unclaimed. I engage just as a DRK/WAR was coming from Clipper dock. He curses, I killed it with 2 pred. claws and get the slacks.

This guy is a joke! I've been camping him lately and everythings gone just fine. No slacks yet, but I'm a patient camper. UNTIL NOW! I dont' know how or why, but he hasn't popped in 7 hours!!! I give up, a 1 mil item just isn't worth it.
And no I didn't miss him, I had someone camping with me who never once left the ramp.

I fought this a few times as 63thf/nin. Very easy NM , he doesnt touch me at all during battle. I get about 20 exp at lvl 63.
Anyways, there are 7 eft spawn points, not 8. There are 7 regular efts and one PH, totaling 8 efts. The PH can pop anywhere in the area at the bottom of the ramp. (if you go down the ramp, anywhere you can possibly go without going back up the ramp, and on manaclipper of course, is the area PH spawns) It is the only one that does not have a small wandering radius, hence wanders all around the vicinity. Intulo will pop always right in the middle of the ramp.
There are 2 efts that are above the ramp, and not in that little bowl area, they are not PH spawns you can ignore those 2. (by the dhamels)

Efts have about 1100 HP ± 50, the eft NM Intulo has 4170 HP ± 360 (MNK73 killed with 700dmg asuran fists)
Efts use poison, stun, dispel, AOE and are sleepable and seem weak to aero
magic slacks going for 1M on pande, intulo didnt pop 1 hr after i last killed him. he did pop a few hours afterward at around the same time of vana morning. 8:00ish. on the ramp every time ive seen him. he does link every nearbye eft. BLM51 and WHM65 handled him safely after we zoned links tho. dont underestimate efts. tough lil fuggers.

I am currently a Lvl 37 bst. i accidently charmed this guy to kill a few bird. realising it was an NM i zoned and rested HP.
@ 303 Hp (out of 650) i zoned back in and decided to kill this thing before someone else claimed it. it took about 20 or so minutes, but i soloed his *** to recieve 200exp ><
i was a BST/NIN. i beleive the shadows made me succeed where the other bsts failed. All in all, im quite happy with myself, considering lvl 60's are getting killed.

no real problems killing it at 61 pld. seems to be a 3 hour spawn, spawned exactly after 3 hours evey time i camp it unless someone else is camping it when i get there. ph seems to be eft that spawns on the ramp since that seems to be the only place he spawns.

concerning NM-level: lvl52 seems to be too low
i had problems with my rdm62/rng8. at the end it was very close and i lost :-( Maybe i had the wrong tactic and subjob ranger is too low (but i need it for ph identification), or it is higher than lvl52. For me it was like even-match+, i think i would have got exp points at the end :-)

been hunting him on and off now with a friend of mine, we've killed it... or i should say he's killed it like 11times now and no slacks yet. anyway i was bored and waiting for a pt so i figured what the hey and went to wait for pop.
about 30mins later i see him, cast flash and the battle begins, im a 62whm, i started with full mp and i'd say about 85% hp, during the fight this drg comes up and watches ok no big deal, so im fighting it... and fighting it... and fighting it... and this is taking a long time, cuase lets face it whms arent the best melee. i get down to 47hp and im like sh*t so i cast benediction, then the little bugger does nimble snap and took out like 400more hp, at that point i figured i was screwed, so i invited the drg to pt and was like 'help ^^' he joined and jumped and killed the thing nearly instantly, and all the ******* sword dropped was an eft skin... evil evil NM

Ya, I've been reading the post here and as fasr as I can tell half of them are wrong. Ihave seen him pop 6 times today all on the ramp. The PH (placeholder) is the one right off the ramp, sometimes on the ramp. And as far I can tell he pops anywhere from a hour to 2 hours after TOD, but I'm not a 100% sure on that so if I'm wrong please dont be made at me.

im 1/2 fighting with my party and 1/1 soloing. When i was fighting alone i was 64RNG/NIN. He hit me once for about 50 dmg and i only had to recast shadows once. I hit 1 barrage and 2 Sidewinders with a few ranged attacks to take him down. Took 2 minutes.
Any time im in Bibiki Bay i always check for this guy on the docks, and the majority of the time he is there.

Heh. I went to Bibiki Bay as a Lv. 39 BST to get some scythe skillups and saw Intulo standing down near the dock. I'm used to seeing people camping him, but the person standing there wasn't trying to claim him and I was close to the zone, sooo...
It was hilarious. I'd send pet after pet against him and he'd chew through most of them pretty quick. The stronger dhalmels and ravens would keep him busy long enough for me to rest MP for one or two ticks.
I managed to wear down about 25%-30% of his life, but then he knocked me into the red while I was getting another pet on him. I had to zone out and rest.
When I went back in, there was a Japanese Lv. 50 WHM trying to solo him and was getting her *** handed to her. She called for help and I set another pet on him and told her to (Run Away!). Again, he knocked me into the red before I could zone.
I warped back to Windy, switched over to 68 WHM and went back out to clean his clock. I must've used Hexa Strike five or six times before I killed him. I figured there'd be no drops because of the call for help, but the payback was nice.

I Soloed this little bugger as 66DRK/33THF. Had no 2hour no mp and was missing around 200-300hp out of my normal 1250 hp and was also wearing my Haubergeon that didnt help with the -20 to EVA. at the end of the fight i had around 300 hp left.
But i got the Magic Slacks and the Curaga Earring so im happy.
Currently 1/1 on this NM.

first off the level range has to be changed on this guy, i'm a 64 dark and recieved 15exp on the majority of my kills. Second WTF!!!! is with these drop rates, 0/36 as of last night with many more on the way i'm sure. I'm starting to think they either changed mobs for the magic slack drop or i'm just unlucky. On seraph these go for about 800k-1mil (but then again our economy changes daily) happy hunting all!

The place holder can pop anywhere from the left of the big ramp to the square dock.
The placeholder roams through all the areas.
once you know where all the regular efts spawn its easy to spot the placeholder because it is the only that roams from one area to another.

Well, killing efts for a few hours, and i decided to check for a PH. I kept killing on that spawns on the ramp, only. And after 2-3 kills the NM popped. Idk if its a ph, but i would most likly think it is

2: The efts on the wooden deck where the NPCs are
3: The efts that are on land and sometimes on the deck where the NPCs are
What I find easies to do and more successful is to simply pull one, run all around the area and link all the others and simply kill them all on the platform where Intulo spawns. Apparently he doesn't like massacres of his kind and will pop shortly after 2-4 massacres. At least, this seems to work for me.

Well i recently have been killing Eft's while i wait for partys in Bibiki Bay and sometimes catch this guy. well im 2/3 on Magic Slacks and 1/3 on earring... and each time i had my NPC out when i got drop... so idk if that has a Hidden TH effect or not... just luck im thinking but anyway
