soloed as a 69 rdm/blu using pro4 phal and cocoon and buffing melee with haste enfire, really easy mobs

Just attempted to solo these as 61Drk. Cleared the regular mandies out of the area, built TP to 300%, spawned the NMs and engaged. Almost immediately a regular mandy joins the fight, from out of nowhere. And then another. And another.
So I'm fighting 6 NMs and 3 regular mobs, DRAINing as soon as I could, pulling off Sturmwind as soon as TP hit 100%, the fight was looking not too bad.
Ripped out Blood Weapon after the first two NMs were dead, didn't stack it with Souleater though.
Maybe I lost track of how many I killed.. and I know I didn't engage any of the regular mobs during the fight, but by the time I died there were still 3 NMs left and the 3 other mobs.. I swear I took down 4 NMs and was close to killing a fifth.
I was losing more HP after each mob I took down, instead of the fight getting steadily more manageable.
Something very obviously went wrong. I'll call on a buddy to swing by and help me next time.
And I never got to hand in my clamming bucket either. First time I'd tried that too :'(

two things: my bro's took them on, and killed them as a 75WHM and a 67 RDM, took a bit of time, but easily done. They also appear to have an opo-opo necklace ability, cause they used a lot of dream flowers when they woke up.

now for me: solo'ed as a 73 SAM/WAR (woulda brought some healing, but I needed power...). Used 5 hi-pots, and a poison pot (I know it's stupid, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't put asleep). Got TP before the fight, rested to nearly full (mind you, I only killed one of the two homoncuili around there before hand); popped them, tried to drag them away, little luck. Spammed Tachi: Jinpu (I got all of the SC's, minus Kaiten, but Jinpu does the most damage to TW mobs), got the link from the one I didn't kill >_> (knew I was in trouble there). Killed it right as the one I did kill respawned... (the damn thing killed me with a sliver of life left)
In retrospect, I prolly shouldn't have downed the poison pot...
Beware of the links, beyond that, any job can solo these pansies at 70+ (or should I say "posies"? Cause these things seem to like pushing them up)

Took them down easy as a WHM75/BLM37 without needing to cure myself. Here's my strategy:

1) Upon reaching area, I cast Protect4/Shell4, and whacked the two Alraunes in that area to build TP. Killing both got me 300TP.
2) Next, I cast Reraise3 just in case, ate a Tavnazian Taco, then rest up MP to full. TP got down to about 200.
3) I then buffed up with Stoneskin, Blink, Haste, Barsleepra and Blaze Spikes. Once done, I trigger the ???.
4) When all of them popped, they were on the slab of rock. I waited for them to come down before casting Sleepga. I engaged one, Dia it, and hit it with Hexa Strike. They take around 500~ to 700~ damage.
5) Rinse and repeat WS, and when the others wake, just cast Sleepga again. If any buffs wear, cast them back up. Alraunes link, Sleepga them as well.

It was a very simple fight overall and took about 10-15 minutes I think. I didn't have to cure myself or even use regen, and my MP was more than sufficient (Taru WHM, 1161 at max mp.) Prior to that I was panicky about how it would go. But stupid me, I forgot to click on ??? after the fight and now I have to go back to do it again! ><

These guys can be soloed by a DRG/Mage starting at Lv. 60. I just did it as DRG/BLM and I'm Lv. 61 (at the time of the post).

I figured I could do it without actually checking on the level of these guys or anything.
It's not an easy fight as you have to time your Healing Breath spells between 6 attacking Mobs.
Also, clearing the area of of possible links prior to the massacre would have been a good idea... Every time I killed one, some other Mandragora would link so I was stuck fighting 5-6 much of the time. -.-

These guys are not Lv. 48 because I did not gain any EXP off them. I've been fighting Lv. 45-46 Monsters in Attohwa and they check Easy Prey and give 20-26 EXP. These guys have to be somewhere in the 42-44 range as they still hit often enough and do hit for a decent bit but won't give EXP to a Lv. 61.

To anyone who wants to prep for this fight, when you're at Bibiki Bay, link together 5 Efts and fight them. If you can take down all 5, then you're pretty much ready for this fight. If you feel brave, add the 6th Eft in there. If you can beat all 6 down, you are definitely ready.

Another thing to note, Peerifools have the chance of Additional Effect: Sleep when they attack. It's a low proc rate, rarely sticks, and really doesn't cause much annoyance as you're getting beat on by a hoarde. :P
regeane, I just realized, has stated this down below.

**Hint**
To time Healing Breaths right, it's best to get the Mobs attacking in unison so you have a casting window. The best way to create one is to Super Jump and get some distance so they run at you and attack at the same time.

my friend (67pld/war) and me (56smn/rdm) kicked some serious buttaru doing this. I did stoneskin before spawning them, then did Sleepga immediately. Casted blaze spikes, and killed one right as the others woke up and spammed dream flower. then i pulled out ramuh and did Thunderspark, and left him out to keep them distracted as we took them down one by one. Got a link and I started running low on mp so i did Sleepga again and pulled out carbuncle. Finished them off and left carbuncle with the link while we were in the cut scene.
Ow.

i solo'd this as a 69rdm/blm, it was very easy for me. i got linked by 3 alraune but they were no trouble to me. by the time i was on the last peerifool, 60% of his hp was gone because of my blaze spikes xD it really helps if u want to make the fight a little bit faster. i finished the fight with 1014/1014HP and 656/669MP
SMN helps

hey, me and a good friend of mine whopped these things earlier today, twice even.

i'm a 64 drg, she's a 65 smn (okay, maybe that's why we whooped them, but anyways...), we didn't know what would happen at first, we were just having fun exploring the island when my smn friend spawned them all. We were taken by surprise at first, i engaged+jumped one, and high jumped one of the others (had whm sub, so no voke), trying to keep the mandies from attacking her. She summoned Ramuh and use his AOE attack, so all mandies turned to him. this made the fight veeeeerry easy. Ramuh couldn't kill them very fast, but he was great at holding hate while i went around picking the mandies off one by one, even the extra two links weren't a problem (penta thrust killed them no problem anyways =P)

Piece of cake. These mandies didn't even hit hard enough to break through Phalanx let alone Stoneskin. The only problem for non-RDMs is their sleep ability, which if you are high enough level should be easily evaded anyway. It was quite amusing being struck by 6x Dream Flower at exactly the same moment though.

These things build up a very strong resistance to Sleepga, so don't waste MP by spamming it when they wake up. Keep your defences up and this won't be a problem, save that Sleepga when you need some breathing room.

These things LINK with every mandy in the area, and thats the only major downside. If you plan to solo it as a non DD class, you may find you need to slay a lot of links as well. The longer the battle takes, the more chance that fresh spawns will join the battle.
Most fun in a long time~

Party Makeup:

57 Mnk/War (me)
60 Whm/Blm
41 Whm/Rdm

Simple enough...hit Defender, popped after clearing the two Alraunes. Spinning Attack grabbed them all to me, Dodge, Focus, Hundred Fists to spam Spinning Attack. Whm's both used Earth Crusher when available.

Only got hit for < 10 each hit from them, used phalanx ring and gaia doublet. Took a few minutes, nothing to ever worry about with my mountain of HP ^^.

Off to Boneyard Gully!

Their regular attacks have added effect: sleep. They kept sleeping my RDM buddy when we were fighting them. It was amusing to watch them manage to hit him once and sleep him, and then miss ten consecutive times and have him just standing there doing nothing.

I soloed these with 67 BLM/WHM. Took a while.. sleepga II is wonderful. Watch out for adds from the native mandragora type mobs. They have different sleep pattern.

Completed quest

I did this quest a little while ago with a 70 PLD, 70 SMN, and me (60 RNG). When the PLD triggered the ???, 6 (no more, no less) Peerifools spawned. The fight was not at all risky or challenging for us. I took down two of them, and was one shot away from killing a third when the PLD ran over and hit it >.<

I would guess this fight would be challenging for a full group ~45, but I'm in no position to say for sure.

I was there with a buddy yesterday. We ran into the ???Warmachine when we were looking for the entrance to the mountain. I found a set of ??? just north of it in front of a rock. I believe it has something to do with the ???Warmachine. I examined it... that was a mistake! It said, "You hear a strange voice, You are not alone." It spawns, I think, 10 black mandies called Peerlink. They tore me apart(54 BLM). My manafont was 47 minutes away so no saving me there. My buddy the thief was able to Perfect Dodge > Instant Warp himself to safety though. If you have a tank touch it I think you can safely kill them all one by one after a solid sleep on them. They hit a little harder than the other little black mandies on the island.
