i saw this and i was scared lol. cause i thought if that warmachine was there. wtf else would be there. no i wish each area had a movie cause i wanna know the story to them all
its an NPC type, allz it does is say "Clunk Clunk" if you talk to it i have NO idea what it is for
Can't tell if it's a mob or a NPC the color is a little mixed.

well this npc is part of the attowah chasm map. you go to the isle after accepting the quest at which point there is a ??? spot in the middle of the island. its a trap so be prepared. anyways you get the island deed from this npc which in turn you take back to the pirate at the fishermans guild. he then sends you to find a mithra tracker in attowah chasm. you must go to bone yard gully which took me and my friends for ever to find. it is also in the dangerous area. so make sure you have sneak and invis. you get a real cool cutscene which you get the map for attowah chasm and 14oo gil on completion of the quest.
I have completed that entire quest, and this NPC has nothing to do with it.

The obviously you didn't pay attention as this is the mob that drops the deed in the cutscene when you beat the onions. And it is mentioned when you return to Port Windurst (not named specifically, but you get the jist of it in the story)

Yup I can confirm it is on the isle the mana clipper takes you to from bibiki bay entrance. I would assume its part of a CoP Mission or quest, however I could be wrong. But being that its in a new CoP zone and the storyline mentions Beastman war machines that IMHO is a likely guess.
BTW jfyi if you click on it it won't attack you, as was mentioned it just goes <clankidy- clanka>. It poses no danger so if your on the isle clamming you needn't fear it.

This is found on Purgonogu (sp?) Isle area of Bibiki Bay, which you get to via the Manaclipper. The mob is not on the Manaclipper itself. No idea what it does yet, it just goes "Clank-clank" if you click on it.
