beat this guy in about 4 seconds from spawning him on 75RNG/37SAM Slugshot 2.5k > Barrage 1.4k > over. Was a very disapointing fight probably the easiest AF1 mobs i've ever fought.

i think the lvl is to low. he cast flare and survived spiral hell

i got my drk to 40 and thought id go get my af for next lvl so i go as 67 rdm thinking its not high lvl or anything so well be easy.. well things are easy if u decide to take armor and weapons.. YAH thats right i tried to fight this thing with just what i had on me (rdm gear was on mule and i was to lazy to get it, and af in npc storage, again to lazy to get)
so im go in kill the yagudo that were around spawn and buff up and pop it.. well started off easy but then he started hitting me kinda hard when stoneskin was down so id bind it and drain/aspir hp and mp back but was still not hitting him enough (i was meleeing with a warp cudgel) the mosyt damage i was doing the whole fight was with drain.. cause i was saving mp for healing and def magic since he is a blm and had high magic def. long story short.. dont try to fight stuff without arnmor or weapons i had to get some ppl in the area that were getting key for kazham airship pass to help me and even with there help it was still a little hard but we ended up killing it and i got the scythe.

I was walking through Windy on my way to Giddeus, when a random person is shouting for help with this NM. Although I'm only lvl 60 rdm, I thought I could take him. Well, to sum it up, two converts later and a lot of "OH CRAP OH CRAP OH CRAP OH CRAP"... I managed to solo it. Once again, grats Aurorachan!

For a level 45 NM, this guy had a bit more HP than I expected, I tallied upabout 3900 give of take 300 or so (the last hit was a blizz 3 for nearly 500 that was probably overkill). Didn't hit very hard, Ele-seal silence didn't stick long at all, but it wasn't important if the fight was longer it might have made a difference.

Bring a high level DD and you should be fine.

i just went after this damed nm to day it toook me and my drk buddy and we didant take ti down we absorbed what we could and i hit it with bio to but we couldent handle it because of aoe and firaga took both of us down hes got his full drk af i forgot his lvl

Not long ago, I helped my drk friend with this NM. It was an easy fight but, I swear it used Soul Voice. I also remember it using Horde Lullaby, and other brd songs. Not once do I recall it using any -aga spells...

so i just did this with a 66pld, im a 40drk, and he refused to let me die. killed the birds around the hole for tp and to elminite links. spawned him, , absorb vit and agi, poison(diddnt stick -> Souleater + Last Resort + Berserk + Blood Weapon -> Nightmare Sycthe and pounded with lighting( blizz was doing nothing) and banged it out in about a min. i guess i got lucky cause he was hitting the pld with II spells, but almost no -ga's.

Yo Anyone know the problem to why I can't get the Nm to spawn? I am above lvl 42 and I Have done everything you guys and the site has said. I went there 2 times trying new ideas out. First was me drk 43 monk 70 drk 60+ and we got there I used the cherry and nothing?? Then I went back to bastok talked to the npcs over again. Did the same thing came back with the monk and a rdm. Nothing...!! again... Anyone have a clue what the matter is??

Setup was;
Me (44DRK/22WAR), 3 LS Friends (52 RNG/26 NIN), (43 MNK/21 WAR), (46 WHM/23 BLM)

First off, I dropped by 200 HP, because he fired off something nasty to start with, but he was silenced and stayed silent for the 27 seconds it took to beat him. It is the easiest NM ever.

Funny story:

Well, I'm now a level 44 DRK, but I fondly remember fighting this guy. We had one of our party members come as his 50 RDM with us, as we were going for 3-4 AF1s in about 2 hours. So, none of us had checked out what kind of monster this was, but we figured that we could handle it. The RDM would tank, no matter what it is, right?
Well, let me tell you... We have a great (Static) party of 6, and we can do 6 BCNM 40s in a row without any deaths, but this guy Two-Hour'd and destroyed us the first time. My DRK's -6 to MND probably didn't help... Lots and lots of damage from those spells. I was wishing I had thought to bring 2-3 cherries with me.

In any case, after everyone but the RDM died, the RDM was fighting it alone and a RNG watched from the sidelines, and another DRK sent me a Tell asking if they could join us. The RDM goes down from a simple spell, the Yagudo is at around 1/3rd to 1/2 health, and the RNG (level 40/Tarutaru, by the way) decides to try to solo it. Why are Rangers always so overconfident? Well, the Ranger was dead in a single spell, as was the other DRK who decided to try to solo it afterward. I guess the RNG didn't know that it was a quest NM, and was sticking around to "get the phat l00t" that it thought the monster dropped. Looks like that'll teach him to pull without knowing what it is.

Oh, and on a side note, our BLM Elemental Seal/Silenced it the next time, and it was fairly easy pickings from that point on. Still, hardest out of all the AF1 monsters we've killed so far, except maybe Purpleflash (RDM AF1). Next up- BLM... Not looking forward to that Elemental...

This dude is not very hard. :D

Here's how to beat him:
1. Elemental Seal + Silence
2. Take your time!! There's no rush to beat him.
3. Keep Shellra up.
4. Pick an element that he'll probably cast. . .say water or stone. Bar that element.
5. If you have a WAR or PLD who has AF gear, have the DRK use 2hr to speed things up. The tank's AF will help keep the hate with the +enmity stats.

I was helping both the WHM and the DRK get the AF1s finished today. the drow NM for the WHM was a fun battle, but the DRK NM was nuts.

We started out just fine, DRK grabbed agro so i could sneak. WIthin 5 seconds our whm was at 38hp from GA spells.

after that it quieted down some, and we got ourselves back together. Then he manafonts...

Holy sh*t lol. Waterga II 350 dmg, Stonega II 350 dmg Thundga 75 dmg. Just chain casting like crazy.

Then he breaks out the sleepha, stunga, sleepga, stunga combination for a little while.

In the end I(56 THF) seen low red twice, and we ended the fight all using 2hr's with a dead DRK (who couldn't stand up to 800+ in instant GA spells)

fun fight, but holy sh*t lol

i fight this mob with DRK40(me) DRK44 DRK49 and DRG55, we defeat it without too much problem, only the DRG went near to die because he started the fight with pentathrust and he takes all the dmg, he finish the fight with 100 hp and me and the others take only 200 dmg with stonega2

OKay When i went there to get my AF1 I brought along a lvl 63 BST and a lvl 60 PLD (while 2 lvl 40's just sat there) and they RAPED this thing to high hell! before i could even get my second crossbow shot off this guy had half of his life gone 5 seconds later it was lying on its back dead!

anyways this guy has about 4000 hp. not to difficult for me (lvl44 drk) and a lvl 60ish drk
guy did guilliotine on it 2 times. first one did 993 second one did 743 not all that difficult...
fight lasted about 2 minutes

Ok i finished this quest a few days ago, and who ever thinks this NM is lvl 45 if a damn retard, i was lvl 43drk, my friend was lvl 43 drk, and i had a lvl 69thf, we both got hit once Hps in red and Thf ended fight with 300hps out of 1100, lvl 45 NM my ass!!

Everyone I have asked that has a Monster Signa (staff) says that this NM drops it
