General InformationLottery spawn of the Damselflies that spawn from (D-8) through (F-8) in Valkurm Dunes PH Info from SmokesalotThe PH is the mob the prevents the NM from spawning until it is killed. In the case of the Valkurm Emperor, it is one of the Damselflies that roams about Whitesands beach in Valkurm Dunes. What a kagillion people refuse to take into their minds is that VE has ONE placeholder, and that's it. Go to the beach with Widescan ability, and position yourself at the peak of the sandhill just northwest of the pack of trees in the middle of the beach. Pull up WS, and you'll see something like this. Damselfly Goblin Mugger Goblin Leecher Goblin Gambler Sniper Sniper Sniper Sniper Damselfly<~~~~~PH!!! This is a truncated list, but as you can see the PH is located in the set of four Damselflies between the leeches and the snipers, and is always the top one. These flies are always grouped in four, and are always located between the snipers and the thread leeches. When VE pops your list will look like this... Sniper Sniper Sniper Damselfly Damselfly Damselfly Valkurm Emperor Thread Leech Thread Leech Thread Leech Thread Leech VE always pops on the bottom of the list. If there aren't four flies in the list, that means someone else is killing them. Either nearby parties, or other campers. If this is happening, you have to figure out a way to nab yourself the PH, and be 100% sure that the fly you kill is the PH. Was 50RNG/25THF Moon at 37% waxing crescent, can't remember what day. It dropped an insect wing >< I claimed it with EES and it died one arrow later. Everyone was examining me right after lol

actually he can spawn annywhere from 10 minutes to 10 hours, i ahve seen BOTH of these pop times personally, i ahve killed VE upwards of 400 times with about 90-110 drops (ive lost count so many x.x)

Maybe on your server gilsellers hunt this NM but on my server this is how many others, and I, make money. we are legitiamate players not gilsellers, and i can say w/o this NM i would not have made it to the level i am today. imo, this update isnt very effective gilseller-wise on my server, maybe if they made okotes r/ex cause the gilsellers seem to ***** that here, not VE or LL, not even argus really.

Sounds like you are whinning, make your gil the way others do, by hard work, not by monopolizing drops that people need (that crap just hurts people who pt with jobs who use the itmes they just recently changed). It might seem like i am coming across angry but enough is enough, i am on titan and our pin and boots before update were up to 1 million +, now they are bottoming out, so far to 600K. IMO this was a great update and i am glad SE finally did something besides sit around and make long updates delaying days of game play.
The reason this does hurt gilsellers (even if they don't camp it) is because now players won't have to buy it because the claim is monopolized and can now instead fight the NM.

that 3rd party program would just be a FFXI windower, its quite helpful u should all get it ( ffxi.archbell.com ) pretty cool :O and those are the only screenshots i could get onto the internet >:O and i dont take screenshots of everything =_=

If hes on a computer he doesnt need a 3rd party program, If you look at all the pictures they are all taken at different events based on ppl hes with and equip he has on. Meaning all he would have to do is hit the "Print Screen" key then paste it in the "Paint" Program(or a different program)and save it. Therefore theres no proof of a 3rd party program.

In the july 19 update, SE is finally getting rid of those pesky gilsellers... The Valkurm Emperor will no longer drop the Emperor Hairpin, but an EX/rare item with the same stats, will be dropped!!!

VE will still drop the hairpin, with a chance of a similar RARE/EX item. It may take care of gil sellers, but it would more likely make camping a bigger problem, as more people would go camp, with hopes for both items: RARE/EX for personal use and the orig. version for sale.
Valkurm Emporer WILL NOT still drop the Emporer Hairpin. The Emporer Hairpin will be acquired in a different way. Either through BCNM fight, or by another NM. The Valkurm Emporer will now drop an item with identical stats to the Emporer Hairpin, but will be Rare/Ex

the people u assume are packet sniffers should know where it pops , hence he reason of them camping WITHOUT widescan and fleeing to VE / the spot holder :O so . . . them running to a fly when VE pops under these conditions w/o widescan would be some ****** packet sniffer or they have widescan. . .

all u ******* and ******** against me can suck my balls, just cuz im 0/1 on argus doesnt mean im solo , just cuz i use TH1 doesnt mean my VE record isnt real, and therE IS a secret and its not just ******* widescanning fast and those people who flee early probably arent packet sniffers they are using the last tod to get flee up before it pops, see a damselfly pop assume thats the spotholder and start running to it while respawn window is still open , OMGZ ve popped **** wrong fly **** me they miss it , packet sniffers (i have screenshots) do show where they have an on screen map with targets and an autorunning system so u can all suck my balls . .*******

id like to do just that from what ive heard your best bets are camping emp with th2 <thf 45> drop rate is about 40% then a very good rate the problem is just claiming this very hard to catch nm i recommend bst for widescan and cahrm and instant ablitlty
