Ive looked all over for pop locations for each of the Fomor types. I found nothing. I have since decided to post locations I have seen myself within the main lv of the Aqueducts for each of the Fomors I have encountered.
After many "Panty Raids" I finally felt the need for my thf subligar.
The thief can be a pain to drop, some have said you actually need Treasure Hunter for it to drop. And for the larger part that is true, the thief subligar will drop easier with a thief in the party. The balloon cloth will drop reguardless of what jobs are in the party or alliance.
Fomor hate is interesting for the fact that for every fomor you kill you gain hate from the community similar to Tonberry hate. Fomor agro sound and will attack if you have been killing fomors, but if you haven't killed any they shouldn't agro you. Fomor NM's like Eba will agro anyone reguardless of hate.
To get rid of Fomor hate simply kill the orcs and giants in Lufaise or Misereaux, kill lots of them after all Fomor are simply restless souls of fighters killed in the Tavnazian massachre. If you are on the Sarcrarium mission for CoP you can check your Fomor hate in the safehold near prishes' room on the second floor. Fomor do not use 2hr abilities, even call wyvern is no longer considered a 2hr ability.
"BTW if you have lvl 75 members in the party on a raid switch to the lvl 75 job and go on merits, lvl 75 players will recieve full merits with a single party in any lvl capped area, even if the xp does suck for everyone else."
Formor's all drop Job Specific Subligar that are used to get the level 50 Job Specific Armor. Some of the armor is REALLY nice, THF, PLD, RDM, and the NIN ones come to mind. Their drop rate is pretty consistant, we got alot more DRG subligar than anything else, which really made us mad.
Formor's have 2 major attacks, both AOE: One resets ALL TP, use your TP when you have it, or else you'll just go back to 0. Don't bother with SC, they go down pretty easy.
The 2nd AOE is the WORST. It gives everyone Drown AND does damage! And, it's not just like a normal Drown, it was taking off at LEAST 4-5HP/3-4 seconds and did around 100-200 damage. We only had 1 Erase for about 11 people, needless to say it was horrible. The BLM/WHM in the other alliance not with the WHM had to Curaga just to keep his members alive.
Other than that, it was a really easy run through, as for people saying they use their two hours, I never saw one Formor use their 2 hour (Excluding DRG) the whole time we were there, and that was around a 5-6 hour run. (I got my THF and BRD Subligar!) If you go to the Aquaducts, you go to the back, there's a room where around 4 different formor's spawn. I only saw: RNG, DRG, THF, BST, DRK and I think I'm missing something else. In the front, right when you go in, I saw a SMN and a MNK. In front of a ladder that's locked is a BLM, WAR, DRK combo. Best thing to do is have the BLM Elemental Seal + Sleepga and take out the BLM first (Easiest, with Silence), then the DRK, then the WAR. Watch for the BLM getting mauled after the sleep wears off, though!
After that, the ladder is locked. Bring a THF with tools to unlock it, or find a key (the key drops from Formor MNK is what one member said, the other said that they drop from any). We didn't have a key, nor did myself or the other THF have any tools, so we couldn't go upstairs. Up there, apparently, are better spawns, with the RDM only spawning up there.
So, make sure to bring a WHM with Erase, and a THF with tools. You'll also want a BLM if you want to clear the Formor Trio.
Fomors do aggro. However as this picture is taken in the Medows, and hoffman is waring af gear, chances are he is in the lower area of the medows where fomors are too weak and wont aggro.
As far as i remeber they aggro to sound, but i am not 100% sure i remember correctly. Note only the Fomors in the aquaducts drop the sublingers needed for JSE, not the ones in the medows. I have never been to the Sacrarium, so i can not say if they drop the sublingers there too.
Also fomors tend to travel in partys of 2+, so if you pull/aggro one of them, the other will follow. They also sit in nasty job combinations too, like pally and bard in one party, so the bard buffs the hell out of the pally making them annoying to kill.
Again, fomors also have annoying tp attacks, for example they have an AoE attack that reduces entire partys TP to 0.
The Fomors in the aquaducts also drop the ignot needed for gobby bag 6, (i cant spell its name, sorry) and it sells for 350K ish on asura. Both ignot and sublinger are rare drop, but it is possible for more than 1 ignot to drop of same mob (a sam fomor dropped 2 when we were there)
