Took him down as 15WHM/BST - He was tough but he went down. Oh, he two shot the bat I charmed.

just took his @$$ out 5 hits with mighty strike red lotus blade and 20war easy got a fire crystal and 70exp

I checked him with my 18 WAR/9MNK Galka and it was Impossible to Gauge.... more like too weak to be worthwile....

Just soloed this guy last night as a no sub level Taru 14 MNK, but it was hard work, and not cheap. First I had to clear the area of any linking Orcs without getting links while doing it. That took a while. By the time I was done with that I rested to full and got lucky: he'd wandered over right by me and was clear of any links. I had 220 TP.

I'd brought plenty of goodies with me to help out. I had an icarus wing from the Bait & Switch quest, 7 Hi-potions, grilled hare and panama au lait. I'd already used the grilled hare before I got there. I hit him and pulled him into the corner. I used Combo on him, popped the icarus wing, used Combo again. Then I popped the au lait. As a Taru, I only had 193 HP, so whenever I dropped below 93 I popped a Hi-potion. I had used 5 when it still had about a 1/4 life left, so I decided to use Hundred Fists (this was really just me being absent-minded; I'd meant to use it right after the second Combo, but forgot). Hundred Fists made short work of the rest of his HP, and I finished the fight having used 6 of the 7 Hi-potions I'd brought with me.

He was hitting me for about 26-32 for normal hits, with criticals around 60. Considering I only had 193 to begin with, I really don't think I could have soloed him without the potions and icarus wing, even accounting for 2 hour. My gear was Legionnaire's Knuckles, Power Gi, Justice Badge, Battle Gloves, 2x Courage Rings, Rabbit Mantle +1, Brais +1, Light Soleas, White Belt and Monk's Headgear.

Oh, and I got 140 exp for the kill at level 14.

Took him on with a mule -- MNK15, no subjob -- that had just levelled up, but with skills near cap for 14. Took down a few EPs for 300TP, healed back to full health, Boost, Dodge, Hundred Fists and /attack .. the fight took seconds and the result was never in any doubt. As Dodge and Hundred Fists were still up, I took on a couple of EPs that were standing around and finished the second off as they wore. 120XP + 50% bonus from Empress Band. Good fun!

I'm 63 PLD and I tried to solo this thing tonight >< Damn he was tough. I got wasted after he used that warcry move.

im pling my friend as i write. Hes is lvl8 drg and im doing it so it doesnt take him an age to get to 10 when he can go off to valkrum. My technique of letting him take on Ts while i cure him works v.well, and we were wandering thru gheshlba and who do we see but this guy. So i wondered if he could take him as a lvl 8.....
needless to say it took some heavy curing but after a while he goes down. So yes, you can take this guy at lvl 8, as long as you have a competant powerleveler. But dont be under any illusion, this guy is way too tough for even a lvl 14. So just be careful when wandering thru here

Um, is it possible for a Mithra level 11 Blackmage (no sub) and a Taru level 10 Whitemage (no sub) to take this on and win? ^_^ Me and my friend need to kill it for Windurst quest.

ogm the 2-3 mission guide on this site sucks...no offense to allakhazam but your 2-3 guide really sucks! it lead me all over and finally someone said to go to H-7 and there he was!

I cant belive this is a NM it is way to weak i was out doing mission 2-3 as my 26whm/13blm a banishga and 2 fires and it was gone and Warchief Wrecker what kind of title is that.

This doesn't even qualify as an NM....1) doesn't gauge {Impossible to Gauge} and 2) Warchief Vatgit == waste of time; just for the title of "Warchief Wrecker".....

"Paragon of Red Mage Exclence" {Yes please}

Back when I was a lvl 4 WAR noob, a lvl 9 RDM offered to pt with me. So I did. We went into Ghelsba Outpost and we were having fun, despite not gaining much xp. So eventually we came to the rope bridge that goes to where the Warchief spawns. He stops and says the following:

him> We're going to die.
me>No we're not, we've been kicking @$$.
him> If we keep going we're going to die.
him> Don't say I didn't warn you.

So we kept going. We got a few kills in, and then we spotted Warchief Vatgit. Me, being a noob at the time, suggested that we attack. We got pwnd. Not just pwnd, we got PWND! I got my revenge upon reaching lvl 24 (put it off for quite a while). Suprised he went down so fast. Well, actually, with Sturmwind, he didn't stand a chance anyway. went from 75% too DEAD in one WS. Go mission 2-3! (note: the whole lvl 4 noob incident happened on my Sandy mule, my main is from Bastok and he got the revenge, along with mission 2-3 part 1. Yeah, they're both WARs.)

This does not con Impossible to gauge
it is too weak to be worthwhile to my lvl 30 war

Well when i went to ghelsba to farm fire crystals on my level 11 Theif I went straight for a Orc mage.
Suddenly my hp began to fly down quickly like an IT was attacking me. And sure enough Warchief Vatgit comes into view high and mighty and I died... I think I'll farm in Pashow on my level 41 samurai from now on^^.

I was Soloing up there and there was another PT there... I was lvl 10 PLD and Mr. Warchief Aggros the PT, so I hit provoke, since the PT was lvl 7 or so. I call for help, use invincible and everyone whails the thing. Kinda cool that a whole buncha low lvlers killed this lvl 16er....

2 wacks with a neckchopper he was done. I thought he be tougher at lvl 22war and mighty strike 2 wacks!!!

NM will always say imposible to gauge this sucker does not and he does not drop 1 single thing he gives a stupid title and when he pops there is a couple of more orcs that pop and is kind of funny that some ppl under lvl 16 fought him and others didnt link anyways i dont waist my time with him you guys have fun fightting it goodluck. I just killed this guy (Doing 2-3 finally... yes I know /clap /clap for me) Got the stupid title, no loot but gil, went back to Consult or whatever for my region, and they're SUPPOSED to tell me to go to Windy or something, but instead say the same things prior to me slaying that War dude. Did I miss something? I killed it, got the title and everything and it still isn't moving on with the mission.

I was leveling up one of my friends in the ghelshba area...farming some orcs at the same time with another friend (lvl.12 RDM and a lvl. 11 WAR) and we see the warcheif on the hill. we said we were gonna try him after we heal....and while we were healing, a damn ranger came, picked him off one shot with his bow...doqwn he goes, so we thought he wouldn't be that hard so we waited for him to respawn, turns out he wasn't hard at all! we beat him within aa inch of his life...and we were only level 11 and 12! you can ewasily take this guywith two level 13 in your party

i was like lvl 14 sittin in the outpost farmin gil when i see some big orc on the top of a hill so i say to myself i can take anything here being the stupid idiot i am i went up there and i was like yay an NM but he aggroed me and i was like YES.
But i took out my sword and thump kealjr does 0 points of damage to warchief vatgit and i was like ARG
kealjr was deafeated by the warchief so i swore eternal vengence.so now lvl 20 i kill him every time i see him hahahahaha!
